  1. As he is one of us, I’m interested to know what people think about him being told he can’t present MOTD until he rows the BBC line. Personally I think it’s a a mistake. Alan Sugar has had plenty to say as a Labour supporter. Andrew Neill, esteemed political presenter on the BBC is editor of the spectator which is not politically neutral. Double standards. Poor decision from the BBC
  2. No desire at all to see us go down. Why would I after 45 years and 600+ games? I would have been happy to have Dyche in charge, my point is the relentless complaining without, in most cases, any sensible alternative doesn’t achieve anything.
  3. Giving CPR is the most effective way to deal with a heart attack. Sacking the incumbent and taking a possible bigger risk by appointing somebody else at this stage in the season is not necessarily the best way to deal with the situation. Not a realistic analogy.
  4. We have had 5th, 5th and 8th and an FA Cup under BR. On balance I think that’s pretty good and gives him enough credit in the bank to give him the chance to handle a difficult season. Yes he has some traits which are annoying and some of the children on this forum go on and on about them. If anybody could name somebody that we can appoint and would guarantee to keep us up I’d be happy to swap now but that’s not going to happen. So I for one will back the current manager until he is no longer manager or until we are down as then it won’t matter.
  5. Agreed, this happened right in front of me and if Ward had tried to take the ball he would have brought Castagne down. The speed castagne was moving me at that he had to deal with the ball himself. Thai was down to him.
  6. Glad to see positive comments on here tonight and very few concentrating on Rodgers. An excellent team performance, well managed and perfectly executed by a team who were up for it.
  7. Ran into Jinny Evans at Winchester services after the 9-0 win at Southampton. Top bloke, posed for pictures with me and my lads and was happy to chat. He was annoyed he hadn’t scored, when he nearly got on the end of a cross late on in the game.
  8. Mahrez in Wagamama at the Highcross in the 2015/16 season. Asked him for a photo with my kids. It was much harder work than it should have been. Never meet your heroes.
  9. They were, Amartey had a number of good performances, he’s not the best and makes mistakes but overall has not done a bad job when asked to fill in, because that is all he does. some of the abuse he gets on here is ridiculous. Vestergaard I can understand but give big Dan some credit.
  10. Nice to see some positivity on this website. Too much toxic negativity at times.
  11. I am now, after that win at Villa Park.
  12. "And Marc Albrighton was excellent on his debut. Explosive, aggressive and he really helped the team." Carlos Corberan after last nights game. I still think it was a mistake.
  13. At half time v Fulham he was our best player. Had hardly kicked a ball this season and embarrassed some of his team mates. Wrong decision, still can make a difference when used as a sub. In the old days he would have a testimonial when he does leave and would be worth it. What a servant he has been to the club, best free signing we have ever had.
  14. Is he the first Brazilian we’ve ever had?
  15. Agreed, doesn’t command his box on set pieces, but neither did Schmeichel. One corner yesterday right into the six yard box and he failed. We, or should I say he got away with it. He has improved significantly from a terrible start to the season but he isn’t a quality Premier League keeper.
  16. Agreed. 5th, 5th and 8th. This season has been a disaster and Top appears to be MIA but let’s get some perspective. Some of the hysteria in here is ridiculous, so we want to be toxic like Everton? Where the board cannot even attend a game, which in itself is brainless as if they’re not there you can’t protest in front of them. .
  17. Gary was fed up and didn’t want to talk about us any longer.
  18. He lived in Oadby when he was in charge at the City, his son John went to Gartree High School, same school as me but a couple of years younger. I seem to remember him as a nice lad, big golf player and as terrified of his dad as everybody else.
  19. Exactly. King Powers business is driven by travel and their biggest customers, the Chinese haven’t travelled anywhere for three years so they will have been losing money hand over fist. Sell up? New owners? Careful what you wish for. We could end up with the likes of Mike Ashley
  20. I think you’re underrating our fans. Of course there is always more interest when we are doing well, as with any team but to say a lot of them aren’t bothered what happens on the pitch is inaccurate at best. Hopefully they are more positive than some of the contributors to FoxesTalk
  21. Getting an away ticket these days is difficult to say the least. Mid week is easier, had no problems with Burnley away last season for example It does irk me sometimes that I’ve done the hard yards. Plymouth away on a Tuesday night etc that now because I don’t have enough points on my season ticket I can’t get to the City Ground next week.
  22. You have to say yes to that. Very impressive.
  23. The most games I have seen in a season 1987/88 when I saw the last 20 home and away so I started there. Bradford away and Middlesbrough away at the end of the season totals about 260, one way That’s the best I can do so far
  24. Good point, I’m getting fed up with all the negativity. We’re not dead yet.
  25. Spot on. I don’t know why I’m on this website late at night. It upsets me and I won’t sleep properly.
