Could be a statistical error. Based on his highlights he seems to hit the ball well enough which doesnt align with his atrocious 50% long ball success rate on fbref.
-
His pass completion % is a bit poor for a ball playing centre back. Not sure he's capable of replacing Vestergaard in the side.

Who do you want for next season in the PL
honeybradger replied to Fightforever's topic in Transfer Talk
Mcatee was disappointing this season, people want him because he was one of Manchester City's best academy players at one point alongside the likes of Cole Palmer and Oscar Bobb but unlike the other two he cant seem to translate his talent into good PL performances. I would steer clear. -

If we're selling Daka maybe go for Odsonne Edouard on the cheap from Crystal Palace? -
He's a good finisher but the main worry for me is that he doesnt seem to get many chances. Most of his shots seem to be wild attempts without any space to pull them off that end up hitting the first defender, which worked against Huddersfield but isnt a reliable way to create chances for yourself. Hopefully he can get some coaching from Vardy or Daka because, despite their finishing not being great this season, their movement to find space around the box is excellent and it is the reason that they start over Cannon.

He's a champions league quality player with a poor injury record. Ability wise he is probably better than any midfielder we will sign instead of him but it is his availability that was in question.

Championship stats dont matter, Burnley conceded 35 last season and 74 this season. If I could choose one of the two to keep between Vestergaard and Faes it would be Vestergaard honestly. Faes just is too unpredictable to build a solid PL defence around. -

The closer we get to playing in the Premier League the less confident I am that Vestegaard and Faes can maintain their form from this season. For me a priority would be some new centre backs then the midfield. -
Vardy's different but the correct move is to try and negotiate his wages down as he only scored 3 PL goals last season.
-
Jacob Greaves for the LCB and Ronnie Edward's to play the vestegaard role.
-
If we could sell him and bring in Jacob Greaves for a similar price we would be silly not to.
-
He was crap for Luton. If we want to build a team to be promoted in 2025/2026 then he would be a fine addition but not if we want to stay up.
-
He doesn't even stand out particularly well in the championship and he's 25. The kind of signing that would already be deadwood upon arrival.

Maddison didnt really contribute to our FA cup win, he was injured for most of the latter rounds. Definitely should not be booed though. -
Not sure I like that honestly.

Why do we moan about this club 🤣?

Last season was some of the worst incompetency in English football. Getting relegated with the 7th highest wage bill in the league is enough for any group of fans to feel down. Our financial situation is really bad as well. While I do think it is overblown as we had the highest profits outside the big six from 2016 to 2019 so we should have enough money to have substantial losses for a few years, we are clearly in breach of ffp which is unacceptable. -
We wouldn't be champions if he didnt step up at the start of the season. He might not be a top talent but he's got a top mentality and is a top hard worker. Hard work often beats talent and he has been impressive with how he has improved himself from a struggling league one loan to a solid championship season. One of the biggest success stories of the season for me and it's very poor form that our fans are slagging him off on the day we won the Championship and he scored a goal.

He had some clangers in the PL, the West Ham game in particular. He was our best centre back in the FA cup though, he was immense in the Quarters, Semis and Final. The games against Man United and Chelsea in particular are arguably his best in a Leicester shirt. -

The only player worth spending £20mil on in this league in our situation (no point spending money on someone like Summerville when we have Mavididi despite the upgrade) is Gabriel Sara. He has among the highest goals and assists tallies, similar to Dewsbury Hall, despite being Norwich's deepest midfielder for large parts of the season. For me he's the best player in the division by quite a distance and with Dewsbury hall leaving we are going to desparately need some quality in midfield. -

Would much prefer Gabriel Sara if Norwich doesnt go up. Similar price bracket to Hamer and a far better player. -

honeybradger replied to Ryy's topic in Leicester City Forum
Keep him for the first team. The only player we have with that level of close control is Winks and Alves arguably is arguably even more technical. It could save us spending 10 mil on cover for the midfield/wing positions that we are light in. -
Is that Gav guy definitely a Coventry fan and not just a Leicester fan's account made to take the piss out of Coventry?

Leicester to appoint Martyn Glover as head of senior recruitment.
honeybradger replied to stu's topic in Leicester City Forum
It's very likely that Rodgers asked the recruitment team for an aerially dominant centre back to help us with our set piece problem. He's not even that bad, just not the right profile for our team. -
Crazy stat for a club that were in the PL not too long ago.

Viktor Kristiansen joins Bologna on loan
honeybradger replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Bologna aren't broke. If they finish in the champions league places then they will have enough money to buy three Kristiansens.
