Neville asking for the ball

It’s astonishing to me that we don’t have any popcorn manufacturers taking advantage of this.

Wonder how many Southampton fans turn up to Wembley today completely oblivious to what’s happened in the last week?
-
-
I mean… everyone’s busy watching the BBC live commentary page to await the outcome, but nobody’s watching Wembley. They could easily sneak in and set up camp.

Nothing says innocent more than employing the lawyer of the biggest cheats in footballing history.

Southampton have been reinstated without the points deduction next year, but only if they agree to change their badge for the next 2 seasons:

Scenes at 18.15 when Southampton get reinstated after it turns out the spy they sent is actually an employee of Pompey who’s been undercover for the last 5 years.

Can’t be having a fair competition now can we. -
I’d quite like to see what she can do with the economy without relentless illegal tariffs or wars causing global economic chaos thanks to the Oval Office Orange Nonce.

If they’ll let us we should stay at La Manga. We’re overdue another player scandal.

This football club should come with a health warning.

*To be clear I meant Helen of Troy. Nyong’o’s was most likely a natural birth.
-
My (Polish) brother in law was complaining the other day about the rumoured casting of Lupita Nyong’o as Helen of Troy cos she’s not white. Bruv. Her dad was the God of Thunder who disguised himself as a swan to court a princess. She literally hatched out of an egg.

It’s a very bold/confident creative choice/gamble. Most films like this would go for a distinctly British accent as that’s become the norm for historical/fantasy films. It very, very rarely works with American accents (see The Eagle, 2011 or Denzel Washington in Gladiator II) but can do if it’s highly stylised (think Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo and Juliet or Denzel Washington in Macbeth). Nolan likes to try something new or different with his films - no war film had a structure like Dunkirk and his entire 270 page Oppenheimer script was written entirely in first person. His Interstellar script was wildly different from his brother’s script when it was a Spielberg project. He’s probably done it to put an ancient story into a more modern context in the hopes of attracting a wider audience and to make it a more immersive experience. Whether it will work is a different question. I think he’ll pull it off, personally.

They did get planning permission for a bronze one of the trophy lift but never bothered doing it for some reason.

Probably waiting till after he’s returned as player/coach next season.

The Premier League and EFL were attempting to illegally apply a sanction they had no right to apply. So, yes. We were absolutely within our rights to defend ourselves from two blatantly and brazenly corrupt authorities.

Watched the first couple of episodes - Pfiefer is hilarious in this.
