HUGELY let down by the writing. RTD failed where he succeeded with the 2005 reboot: the tone of the show, and the quality of the stories. The 60th anniversary episodes were ‘OK’; Ncuti’s first Christmas Special was reasonably promising. But the series was mostly dreadful IMO. Tonally all over the place, and the balance of it being a ‘family show’ or a CBBC show was tipped way too much in the latter category. I do like Ncuti and I think he’ll go far in Hollywood, but the next series better knock it out of the park otherwise the show is in big trouble (again)

personal favourite: Will we be getting a public apology for this? He should never work in football again and he should pay back his wages.
