  1. Done a 32km (20 miles) this afternoon. Think it's the third time I've done 30k plus now. Went better than previous ones where my legs just literally gave up on me after about 25km. This time my moving time was 3 hours 2 mins. Elapsed time longer so can add 20 mins on to that with filling drinks bottle up, toilet breaks, checking the map and shaking leg pain off 🤣 Generally happy with it, didn't go over the 6 mins per km mark until 28km in so that's good. I did my best ever 10k last night outside of the one organised event I did, in 42:45. So being able to run the whole 20 miles today I'm pleased about. Still don't like that distance though. When you start sneaking towards 24/25k it really takes impact on the legs and body and I keep forgetting how badly. I'm sat here now absolutely ****ed and cold. Feel I could get into bed and stay there 🤣 don't get this after half marathon distance!
  2. Always said he can't run with the ball. He's a one or two touch player. He is a winger who can get in good positions but he's not going to dribble past a few and whip one in. He reminds me of a wide Andy King. Sneaks into the box and gets himself on the end of stuff.
  3. The only correct answer this is. As I put it to someone at work who only looks at Leicester from the outside. Do we have a great squad? No. Were we always going to be down there? Yes. Was cooper the right appointment? No. Should he have gone? Yes. Would he have put up a better fight than RVN? Yes. Would a non League manager get us scoring at least one goal at home in 5 months? Yes. If he wasn't a top ex footballer who has won lots, and he was similar in pedigree to Steve Cooper, I hardly doubt anyone here would defend him. He's worse than Taylor and Holloway.
  4. I know he's been a bit lucky to not concede yesterday or Vs Soton. But his clean sheet record is very good. Even back to last season too. His total is 8 clean sheets in 19 games. Yes some were cup games but he's definitely good enough to be number one next season imo
  5. Everything Pearson and co built has been demolished now. It's sad to see. Everyone praises our owners and rightly to some extent for hiring NP again but without him none of what we achieved happens.
  6. Didn't go today. But heard on RL that they had the ex players walk the pitch with the current set. They even said that was probably tactical so there wouldn't be discontent
  7. He's shite. We've beaten two shitter teams than us. Ipswich xg was more than ours today, they just can't finish. Baffles me people want to keep him based on two wins when the opposition is on the beach.
  8. I agree with this mostly. But my views changed somewhat in the more recent years. It has become more an entertainment thing too. I remember seeing WBA under Pulis and my God the football was the worst I ever saw. I honestly couldn't watch that every week. I'm not putting Dyche in the same bracket btw. But ultimately yes I agree it's about results and winning, especially at Championship level. Enzo ball could be decent at times but that became boring second half of the season when we got found out by the opposition. I'm ambivalent about Dyche but one thing I do think he'd do is at least have a team ethos and wouldn't put up with any of this shite we have from certain individuals right now.
  9. Man city really struggle to break teams down nowadays when they're behind. Having said that KDB unlocked the door twice and City didn't take the chance. Not a lover of Palace really but can only admire the achievement
  10. I don't care if we win the next two. He has to go. I genuinely think most of us could have managed the team to score one home goal in 5 months. Bloke is the worst manager we've ever had.
  11. Torquay lost their semi final one nil at home so won't be them Boston were on the beach today
  12. Just done the King's Lynn 10k. My first ever race event, not even done a parkrun before Tried to hang on to the coattails to the 40 mins pacer and did so for the first 5k. 5k time was my PB at 20:12 which means I can defo do that under 20 mins I think now. I dropped off a bit in second half with a bit of shin splint discomfort and heavy legs around the 6-7k mark and tracked 4:40 which I'm a little annoyed about. But fought back to a 4:25 twice at 8k and 9k and got a 4:04 at the final K. Overall time was 42:13 which is almost 3 mins better than my PB. I'm pleased but would have been delighted with under 42 mins. I think I'll keep on working on the interval running with the odd long run, but I definitely need to do a parkrun to smash under the 20mins mark
  13. My last lcfc game was away at Chelsea. I gave up and turned my back on them after that for the rest of this season. Not watched any of the TV games despite being able to. Been to Boston's last five home games and going to final game on bank hol Monday away to Maidenhead. Really enjoyed it especially as they've stayed up with a real great escape. I've totally gone off PL football although have watched Europe games this week. Now no more non league to go to, frankly I'll just work more Saturdays and be off the Sundays. It's actually nice not having to worry about my work schedule around lcfc like usual 😂 if I'm off work and we're playing I'll just do things like go out and run especially with the nicer weather. Come August if we've got a new manager and some players in I'll be right back interested...until we turn wank 😂
  14. Like Mads but don't think he's been at top level this calendar year. He's too good for the Champ, not that I want to openly sell but he's our biggest asset so hopefully the injury doesn't hinder that. I highly rate Stolarczyk too and happy to have him number one next season without Mads.
  15. He's one manager I'd like who would get me excited to go and watch us. He's made a shite Wednesday team mid table.
  16. But they have basically been waiting for the playoffs for at least a month. A bit like I can't see Sheffield Utd raising their game for their last few either now. They are both sub consciously playing the season out probably conserving energy and protecting players getting injured. I expect at least one of them to make the final, and I reckon they'll be more on in come the playoffs probably will have rested players too
  17. I honestly would take a mid table side next season who we can get behind with players fighting for the badge or youngsters from the academy. Winks, Vestergaard, Ayew, BDR, Coady to name just a few can just **** off. We've had too many free loaders for far too long.
  18. If you have body pain then rest is needed for longer, from what you say I'd have two to three days off and do a shorter run for a first come back. Tbf I should listen to my own advice, my legs tell me I need to rest and I don't always. Problem I have is I get bored especially on days off living alone, and I feel so much better for running both mentally and physically. But we all have to listen to the bodies!
  19. Sometimes just need the rest mate. Unless I was doing around 5ks I never try to run more than two consecutive days really. It depends how fit you are too right now too obviously but I wouldn't worry about it and give yourself some rest
  20. Just done a 32k to hit 20 miles. Absolutely horrid. I've done a couple of light runs this week including a 6.5 yesterday. I knew I wasn't up to it today because I felt a bit of pain in that run yesterday. I don't think I give myself long enough to recover maybe. I was doing alright until the last 10k and my achy legs gave up. My ankle is killing me. I don't mind admitting I had to stop a few times and walk for some to hit 32k. Need to have a long rest period before doing that distance again. Anything over 20k starts to put real pressure on the legs. It's annoying because cardio wise or fitness wise I don't feel bad at all. But **** me my legs are in agony
  21. That's where I was! It's now just been announced next week is all ticket. Not surprised
  22. The attendances have gone up and up and up in the last few games. I've been to the last four games (didn't go before that) and each time has pulled a good crowd in. Think the cheap kids tickets helped today. But they need to come up with a solution, season ticket holders queuing up with people buying on the gate and missing kick off shouldn't happen. We've actually bought seats for a week on Saturday to ensure we don't miss out again 😂
  23. Carnage getting in though 😂 I got there late about 1450, queues everywhere and no idea if they let everyone get in or not. They weren't geared up for it and should have made it all ticket really. I missed the first goal because of it 😂 But good fk goal for the second and then they just saw the game out. Good atmosphere there today
  24. Decent that is mate. Gonna try and do 30k in the next couple of weeks time permitting. Last time I did it my legs collapsed after 20-23k and I fell off a cliff. I did 20 then 25 inside a few days so the 30k was basically a step too far, that was back in January. My favourite distance is definitely 15k or 10 miles, after that I get a little bored and feel the need for a drinks break etc.
  25. As said I've already abandoned watching us this season. If he's still there next season I might do the same until he's gone. Shocking he's still in a job
