Wasn't it Wesolowski and not King?

Losing 0-4, at home, in the third tier. That is the worse result in our history (so far). Cup games are one offs and are not comparable to league games. Almost every club has suffered some sort of humiliating cup result.

How are they not getting relegated. Awful side and their ambition is to just have Wilder in charge.

Not sure how people define a big club, or club our size, but those clubs mentioned only really spent a few seasons in League One and not a decade (in fact Blackburn only had the one season as they finished 2nd and bounced straight back). Sunderland 5th 8th 4th 5th (promoted via play offs) Leeds 5th 4th 2nd Forest 7th 4th 2nd Blackburn 2nd Also just for conversation Derby 7th 2nd Southampton 7th 2nd Norwich 1st Wolves 1st Can we even see us finishing top 6? I am quite worried we will spend longer than those clubs did at this level.

It shows clubs want to act quick if they have an idea of what they're doing. Similar to when Norwich were a relegated side like us, started poorly, sacked Gunn early on and appointed Lambert, then ending up winning the league. We will never act this quickly under this ownership.

Without doubt. We have seen City battered but never in the third tier. This is only our second ever season at this level ffs. Last time we lost one home game; we've already lost two home games this season. We were never battered at this level last time, if I recall we only conceded 3 once (the embarrassment of Brighton).

Not sure why people think a (heavy) loss at Stockport will see him gone. When have this ownership ever sacked a manager at the right time? I can't see him getting sacked but even if it was to happen it will probably be after the International break.

I was hoping for a draw (having beaten Oxford) as I said weeks ago our toughest run of games so far will be Plymouth, Oxford, Stockport. But now, needing to go to Stockport and win?? I just cannot see it.

He has been starved of service but has he "got something about him" as people keep posting? I'm not so sure. It would be nice to see him with a partner though and we actually play two up front.

Glad you brought that up as I was bored of people just referring to that one game (Newcastle). Your post is probably spot on about him.

My biggest worry is he failed to get Stockport out of League 1. Twice they failed in play offs. In fact, I'm sure every season he finished in the play offs with Stockport they lost. edit: Also, Stockport are flying again this season under a new manager which always makes me wonder about the stability of the club and everything being in place over the actual manager.

I've been paying attention since King Power took over. They have always thrown money about. They were lucky that Pearson wanted to come back, otherwise we'd have been in this mess a long time ago (and yes, when Vichai was alive). All that money they spent on Sven especially, it was ridiculous, and when Pearson did get us promoted we had to pay a FFP fine. Without Pearson we'd have just been stuck in the Championship or relegated to League One much earlier. So, back to my original point, we were most successful after Vichai died anyway (consistently) but that doesn't mean I think the club we were a well run club. Thank you to people laughing at my post without debating though. If you pay enough attention you will have noticed I have never supported King Power or backed them like other people seem to do so much. There was always a few of us that posted the opposite on here.

Don't understand the obsession with one striker, never have. Why would you go into a (home) game with one striker.

Yesterday was a much worse result than anything in the league. 4-0 defeat, at home, in the third division. I don’t see how it gets lower than that. Up until 2008 we had never ever played in the third division. It’s sickening we are at that level now.

Rubbish as expected. The obsession with "experience" is strange, just like I criticised the Lundstrum signing for similar reasons but people still jump on the "he's got experience" line which has now been failing us for the past 3-4 seasons.

Oh I agree, but Vichai dying is pointed too all the time yet my argument is we were more successful after he died? Agree on the Pearson thing, which I alluded to in my post. I think he was more of a bigger influence on the club than people give him credit for.

I think it’s impossible to answer but we had issues under Vichai too. I think he probably would have sacked Rodgers quicker but whether the replacement would have been okay is another thing. Pearson (and everything he did) not being at the club is the bigger thing for me, without him and what he put in place we wouldn’t have achieved everything we did.

Pointless argument to me as I don’t agree but all I do know is until King Power go we will continue to be in a mess.

Regardless of how it happened, we were successful after Vichai died. People point to his death as the turning point but I don’t think so.
