We lost a home fixture in the third tier (that's bad enough in itself) to a team who have no budget and only ambition is staying up. As I recall, we only lost one home game the last time we were at this level. They reached the play off final. Burton will probably finish about 17th. We've had lots of embarrassing cup results but so have plenty of other teams, because cup games are totally different to regular league games.

I said the exact same in another thread. Seems to me like we're trying to be complicated for the sake of it. We're in the third tier. What I want is someone strong who is able to hold the ball and knock it off to someone who will finish, most teams we come up against are going try and knock us around the pitch. That's why we need someone strong in midfield too.

I do hope Tottenham don't make Europe with all this money they're splashing around.

Scoring goals was always going to be the issue. I said last month, we went into the previous League One season with Fryatt and Howard and this season we don't have that. edit: Although I must also say goalscorers at this level were mental last time we were here. Fryatt, Lambert, Cox, Beckford all got 25+ goals across the season.

King gets a free pass because of who he is but has been part of all this. If you're getting rid of Martin then the whole coaches need changing too, doesn't just stop with the manager for me.
