  1. Oh I agree. But you and I both know there will be those that fail to see past our issues on the pitch, and still point the finger at ol' Vards.
  2. Seriously worried that the current plight will tarnish his reputation. Whatever the outcome, I can only hope fans will look past this season's dramatics and continue to hail and appreciate Vardy as the GOAT he is.
  3. Seen our financial situation lately? We can't afford that. There is a reason why the consensus of opinions suggest we are royally f'ked where cash is concerned.
  4. Well they can. But they'd also need to pay off their contracts.
  5. We are closer to the end than the beginning of the season. Derby will still have the record lowest points in Premier League history. Miraculously, there is still one team worse than us.
  6. 9 if you include all competitions... It's sad that we are even having this discussion.
  7. 5.8 for El Khannouss? Come on. He couldn't do much more without trying to keep going for goal himself. He gets a 7 from me. Couple of 6s for VK and Jakub, 5s and 4s for everyone else.
  8. So tempted to change his position on his Wikipedia page. His stats are an insult to the striker position.
  9. The air of resignation did it for me. You could hear a pin drop when they scored their second. It was the sound of the collective thought that this team are strong candidates to go down with Southampton. Can't even say Ipswich because they are at least making a good fist of it to defy the critics longer than we are. It's no longer annoying. It's borderline depressing that we threw everything we had at an abysmal Palace across the 90 minutes and drew a fricking blank. That's our standard. Championship-bound standard.
  10. More like Jamie Vardy Depreciation tonight. He missed chances he usually buries, especially the one-on-one that he blasted straight at Henderson. Peak Vardy would have stuck that in the corner, so it was a poor night for him. But like Winks, he rarely has a bad game. Write it off and get one next game Vardy.
  11. Too much of a happy-clappy fanbase. *insert Bart Simpson "At Least You Tried" gif here*
  12. Okay but wasteful in the first half. Utterly capitulated in the second. Against Palace. PALACE. The worst side we have faced at home in the Premier League this season. About as bad as Wolves without the Ward calamties. We cannot defend, and we are cooked.
  13. Have felt like this game has been played in slow motion. Prime candidate for last game on Match of the Day.
  14. Great news for us, effing brilliant news for the bulletproof Rudkin.
  15. Away vs Manchester United... Balls.
  16. I don't think a club legend can be tied down to one particular category or criteria. Naturally, the 2015-16 squad can all be perceived as such. That triumph never should have been able to happen, but it did. Every player in that squad made that possible, so they all meet the legend criteria. Loyalty is another, so Graham Cross is another. No-one will likely ever surpass his appearance record. In terms of goalscorers, Jamie Vardy is only surpassed by Arthur Chandler and Arther Rowley, so they meet the criteria. Players who did the iconic piece of magic, or skill to achieve something wonderful, so despite his last season shenanigans, Youri Tielemans meets that criteria. Managers like Martin O'Neill, Claudio Ranieri and Nigel Pearson, who helped the club accomplish so much and brought everyone together. The club truly felt as one during these times, compared to now where it has now never felt more divided. Putting this all aside, any player that anyone could recall for something truly outstanding and memorable, could also be so considered a club legend, but this is very subjective. There are others that played before I was even born that are considered club legends, and I accept them for what they achieved based on what I have read and the stories my Dad told me growing up. Is there truly a definition for club legend? No, there are many definitions. And people may disagree, because we are good at that. But one thing we can all agree on, anyone who helped take our club momumental steps forward to success or did something we can never forget or stop being thankful for, comes closer to meeting that criteria than anyone.
  17. Another abomination. VAR would have given that second penalty.
  18. Relegation six-pointer. I'll take a scrappy 1-0 win with Ayew scoring with his shin in 90+8. Use the confidence from today. We have shown we can trouble Palace, and we cannot keep our PL losing run going. Must win.
  19. You could almost rule out Wolves based on their recent new manager bounce and subsequent renaissance, and Cunha due to return from suspension. Still think we are cooked.
  20. With 5 bullets in the revolver instead of 1.
  21. If you think he has been poor, then let's all pray for the others who have really screwed up so far this season.
  22. It's a system that doesn't seem to suit any of our defenders. Hardly a surprise that said-system is being implemented by a a former striker. I'd still have taken Moyes given the chance, but I'm left praying RvN learns how to make a team defend BETTER than they are. They're arguably worse. JJ is an RB last I checked, but sure as hell doesn't play like one. Is far better at attacking than defending once he actually gets past the halfway line and doesn't instinctively turn 180 degrees and passes back like he usually does.
  23. Yikes Winksy. Bad day at the office, against Championship opposition, he will have nightmares about that second QPR goal. May as well have had two assists today. In any case, he rarely has a bad game, so give him a pass, he will be feeling crappy tonight. Shake it off and go again on Wednesday, Harry.
  24. Absolutely, cheaper tickets always helps! My partner, normally apathetic towards football, went for the first time today to the tune of £15. Didn't hate it, actually enjoyed it, and if we score SIX every time she comes with me, then she can just have my season ticket. Everybody wins!
  25. Great attacking threat today albeit against a Championship side (his current level?), but still so vulnerable at the back. QPR had so much joy on his side. The calls for a new right-back will not be going anywhere any time soon.
