On current trajectory yes, but we have plenty of scope to improve though. I'd be much more concerned if this was a team that had been together for years and we knew we would struggle to attract improvements. Ideally for me, by the 2nd of the season we should be offering a much sterner test for every team in this league. We want to finish this season strongly and take that into next year. The next 2/3 months are about trying to get the squad in that direction. Work has already started on that, the lads that have come in so far, look to have improved us. We're crying out for a big ugly 6'4 centre back to dominate long balls into the box, that'd be high on my wish list.

I'd fully back cutting our cloth if it felt like there was a plan in place. But it feels like we're not accepting our fate fully, but also not committing to trying to stay up. If we're genuinely struggling on PSR. Signing a 4th choice CB for £15m is in the realms of absurdity

Will Alves signs new deal until 2028!

There does seem to be a policy at Leicester that you need to have Haha it feels this way, I feel like a proper numpty because the main redeeming feature I was holding onto with Cooper was that 1) we'd be developing our own academy talents and 2) we'd look to bring in young players to develop who can be sold on in future. It's early days, but he's shown absolutely no indication that he has interest in that. Instead we've signed a couple of aging journey men, which you can only assume is at his request. I'm holding onto hope that there'll be an unexpected change of direction but it feels unlikely. At the minute it feels very much like this season is just going to happen and pass us by - we're just aiming to exist rather than putting in building blocks to success that will pay off years down the line. The club as a whole just feels stagnant to be honest. Enzo's attitude was a shot of adrenaline but we're dying under the leadership at the club and nobody is really arsed. -
I assume had we not signed Okolie and trusted Nelson and not signed Ayew and trusted Alves. We'd be there or there abouts for the £8m mark. It's like nobody can see past the next 3 months at Leicester. We're getting to the point where we're running out of assets that we can or will be able to sell for decent money. Yet we're still packing the squad with players that won't start or are a few years from retirement. I'd love to see the value of the squad that Macia and Puel left compared to what it is now.

When you see players getting sent off because their finger lightly touches somesones face. Not only has the ref got it wrong, but refs with a clear view on tv didn't deem a clothesline on the keeper as a ref card offence Then to send off a Bournemouth coach, Insanity. There should be fines and bans for all officials involved.

If we need money off the wage bill, why are we adding squad-padders who'll offer next to no value, instead of blooding our own youth players and enhancing our own saleable assets? I ask the question rhetorically , knowing full well why

Pretty sure "sleeve" is just a phrase, the line is inline with the armpit.

I hate that dracula looking bellend. Hows that not a red for Joelinton?!

Adam Idah may genuinely be one of the worst strikers I've ever seen

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!

Wouldn't be surprised if he thought he was still playing for us tbh. -
Can't escape the feeling that Congerton has put in a good word with Rudkin and shafted us again on this

Watched the short highlights and aside from them leaving Faes completely unmarked for some reason, they can probably feel like they should have won by 3 or 4. Some good saves and poor misses helped keep it respectable looking. -

At least we expected to be awful this season. Imagine being a Palace fan after the end to last season and seeing your chairman just cashing in on the success and actually weakening the squad -
The first goal is really poor from Fatawu, absolutely no awareness at all.

2 years is acceptable as long as wages aren't mad. Still can't get over the fee though No other teams would be muggy enough to pay this much haha -
To be honest I go for the sesh and the atmosphere, I expect things to sound a little rough. If i'm going to a gig there's got to be a solid 4/5 hours drinking time before doors open I can appreciate if you pay 80+ to watch a big name and they sound awful then it'll be a disappointment though.

Yeah I don't disagree - but I'm just adding context to the stats. xG is only be calculated when a shot is taken yes, it would be interesting to see if xG could be calculated when opportunities present themself, but that'd be a hell of a chore to mark down Haha love that you found the stats and I'm glad that my eyes haven't been failing me Nice one. Funnily enough, Kane was the exact person I was comparing him with mentally. Out of interest what was the source you used?

I don't think it's that surprising, aside from the odd unexpected shot Vardy generally only shoots if it's a fairly open opportunity. You don't see him trying to shoot through bodies or trying long rangers. I doubt the data exists, but I'd wager that Vardy's average xG is significantly higher than most strikers.

Fulham v Leicester - Pre-match thread (August 24th)

I do wonder why journalists waste their few questions asking managers about potential transfers. You may as well ask questions where you will likely get some insight. Enjoying the way Cooper speaks, seems like he puts a big emphasis on strong mentality and not giving up in games, which is something that fans can really identify with. -
Rock N Roll circus in Sheffield next weekend Looking forward to hopefully seeing Cruz Seb lowe The Ks Girlband The Rifles Pete Doherty Milburn

I think this is probably an extremely popular opinion. I love gigs but 99% of the time i'd rather be listening to it on record without hundreds or thousands of people around

If it's a 2 year deal on relatively low wages, I can just about Stomach it. We are so poor at negotiating though, that price is far above market value 33 in a few weeks and in the last year of his contract. Madness
