  1. Wish him all the best, proper professional, good guy and always put a shift in. Performances weren't always there but he just never got back to the pre injury levels.
  2. Just read his farewell post, very classy, tells you all you need to know about him on a human level, even if the talent isn't always there. Good luck to the lad, I hope Ipswich get more out of him than we have. I've found it interesting he's looked a much better player on international duty than he has in a city shirt.
  3. I'd have had no issues with keeping him, not the best but committed and gives his all. Loves the club by all accounts. But from what we have seen of him that's the type of money you can't turn down. Wish him all the best though
  4. From the little I saw in pre season, it felt like he wasn't quite ready for that next step up. He's dominated u18s, then u21s but struggled with the first team. A little more time to adjust or a loan down the leagues could be perfect for him. He's clearly a very talented player but not all players can be like monga and ready at such a young age.
  5. Even if it was on a consultancy basis, just get him in the club and let him work with Marti to do his thing. You wanna turn this club around, upside down and get back on track, he's the only man for the job.
  6. Most dangerous we've looked imo is when we played daka and Ayew together. Ayew could drop and hold up the ball and daka stayed further forward to stretch the play.
  7. He's got something about him but not £25million worth. Liverpool really knows how to max their youth player values though
  8. Clear the decks
  9. Whilst I agree with this sentiment, I imagine his wages are high and to get money for someone we lose on a free next year makes sense. The wage bill has to go down and we need the fees to meet psr and hopefully make some signings. I don't have an issue with Justin like some do, but he's not been the same player since he was injured and it feels like a good deal overall to me.
  10. I'll be honest and say it's not an issue I'm massively close to as I'm bored of the usual debate on the issue. Im never going to agree with reform as long as Farage is there. I did mention in my post, about mis information and Farage is the king of this. He showed this during the referendum and I'm at a point where I tune his stupidity out. From what I do know, I think it's an issue that is yet to be fixed. I don't think there is an easy answer to it and I think it's only something that will be fixed with time. A year is **** all in politics, so far it goes under the category of must do better but I don't think it's any worse than this time last year regardless of what certain politicians want you to believe. If anyone truly thought everything would be fixed after just a year in power, they are stupid and delusional. Does my life feel a bit better than this time last year, yes, not by a huge amount but certainly better than pre election with the Tory party.
  11. Politics is ****ed in this country. There's so much mis-information, a huge lack of rational thinking and no one prepared to accept they wrong. People all have there own agenda and wail like babies if they don't get their way, there's no compromise. Clarkson in the tweet above is a great example of that. I personally don't think labour have done that badly this year. Biggest disappointment for me were the backtracking on winter fuel allowance and watering down the disability benefit changes. There's still no easy answer to alot of the issues we face. But even compared to a year ago, it's easier to see my GP and the roads don't feel like I'm in Beirut. I think on alot of day to day issues there is progress but more time is still needed. Certainly better than the Tories in the 14 years previous. I think starmer has handled trump, Ukraine and Gaza situations well overall and has looked a proper leader in an uncertain world. Still room for improvement and certainly not perfect but prepared to watch this space and see what happens in the next year.
  12. Let him go, Nelson is the CB we need to go all in to develop this year. If faes and vestergard are the two we can't get rid of, so be it, they are more than capable at this level.
  13. Is this right? The PL now aren't following their own timeframes and delaying us knowing our fate? Surely our lawyers will be all over this? Another nail in the coffin for football for me, getting fed up of this shit
  14. That's banging 👍 thanks for the info
  15. Don't follow the youth as closely as alot of you, but like to follow this thread. Alot of names there I've not seen before. Donahue, Ali, Briggs and Popov I recognise, not so much the others. Under 18s moving up? New players coming in? What's the deal?

    Pillows

I think it depends how you sleep. I'm a side sleeper and bought some pillows recommended for side sleepers and I've never looked back. They weren't anything special, just went to Dunelm and picked what felt best, slumber down I think but I liked the fact they recommended different pillows depending on how you slept and it worked for me. I imagine you could find similar info online to give you a guide. I dont really buy into alot of the trends online with pillows/mattresses.
  17. That's a quality statement to be fair, really hit the nail on the hit, outlines the issues but in a professional way that doesn't directly sling mud at any particular clubs. Fair play, I'll be rooting for palace in the conference league, hope they win it, help make the change the sport needs and if forest get battered in all competitions, get relegated and then face huge psr issues in future years then at least a little justice may be done
  18. Gotta feel for palace, absolutely no common sense used by uefa and really does feel like an injustice. Common sense would not set a deadline before the seasons end, common sense would say he did not have a majority stake in the club, common sense would say he's since left anyway, so why does it matter what the case was in March. Rules are rules bollocks, if I was a palace fan I'd be fuming. The fact that uefa can't see an issue makes it even worse. Look at forest, you can see the paperwork was done in case but he was still the owner regardless of the paperwork. It stinks and shows how ****ed the sport really is.
  19. Personally, based on what I've seen so far this season, I'm gonna trust Marti to make the right decisions on these players. He knows them, he sees them day in day out, we can talk about a fans perception of attitude but Marti sees the reality. Hooking skipp at half time shows he's not scared of making changes. Bringing monga on, not scared to play him coz he's 16. The players looked much fitter yesterday than most teams in the division, and 5 subs freshened it up and ultimately we got three points. Still lots of changes ahead, some players will go and we might actually sign a few. But for the first time since Enzo, I feel I can trust the manager of our club to do what's best in the short and long term for our club.
  20. Mahrez and Kanye, still both playing in Saudi. Both would be unbelievable. If I could have anyone though it would probably be the shepshed pirlo, hitting his peak and local boy to boot. Best still playing is probably lookman but he was only on loan so does that count?
  21. I always think of get out as a poor man's skeleton key. Similar premises but didn't land as well in get out for me

    Houses

Don't live local so can't comment, but in 2 weeks of having my house on the market I've already seen two very different ends of the scale. My estate agent sold my house in less than a week, great communication, honest not pushy, great photos and from the moment he set foot in the house he was enthusiastic about it. He did a great job of selling it. I then viewed a property, this estate agent knew nothing about the house, but rather than admit it he bullshitted. Came across as a sleazy salesman and had no real interest in us. He never followed up the appointment to see what we thought, then as soon as I made an offer got passed onto his boss who I'd never met who had no personal interest in me or what I was looking for and general communication felt forced. I didn't buy that house for reasons discussed above but I would now avoid viewing houses if they were on with that estate agent, they were that bad. 2 local companies, very different experiences. So do a bit of due diligence and don't just go with the highest valuation.
  23. Early days but I'm a big fan so far. He's got me far more excited for the season ahead than I thought I'd be and that's just based on a few interviews I've listened too. If you look at the mess Danny Rohl is in, and how bad a situation Rangers are in already, we are in a much better place with Marti. Clear some more deadwood this week, get 1 or 2 players in, and I think we will be in a great place this season
  24. Wish him luck, he's far from the problem with our squad but he needs a fresh start and we need to clear the decks. All the best wilf
