WBA.. Back to back wins!....Pre Match Chat

I think we'll beat the Baggies.. Going for a tight 1-2 or 0-1... Think our confidence is improving on the back of a very good performance at Spurs and the west ham victory.. We've scored 5 goals in our last two matches... We can do this!!!!!

Whilst also conceding 5, our defence is like watching a car crash, you say it's going to be tight, I can't see it because we are anything but tight at the back, especially when attacking (Which at this stage we have to be attacking), i'm not saying we can't win but it'll be anything but tight.

Don't forget they conceded FOUR against QPR!!!... That's a car crash!

Adds to my point even more then, it won't be tight.

5-4 is a tight match??

It isn't... It's close, tight would be 0-0 with 1 shot off target between us.

Schlupp obviously had that shot.

Can we change the thread title to have a question mark rather than an exclamation mark? It looks cocky at the moment.

...or just optimistic / confident???

A win would be unreal, can't see them losing two at home in a row but you never know. That QPR loss could inspire them to put it right against us or (hopefully) do some psychological damage. We just need our players to turn up, have no fear and take the game to them. If we start like the West Ham game I'm confident we can get something.

In terms of a 1 goal win yes, but in terms of the scoreline no, I wouldn't consider that tight.

Going to this one with our kid.

Think we're gonna win.

This game also has some kind of thing to do with Jeff Astle , I heard Albion are playing in all white with red socks . Think even without getting beat by QPR , they will be up for it because of the occasion .

But we go at them and we can beat them

The Leicester game has been chosen as Astle made his debut for Albion 50 years ago against Leicester . Lets hope for a similiar result as Leicester won 4-2 that day

Can we play in blue?

Spirit of Steve Howard, let's hope krameric or Vardy get a hat trick.

If we win, my three to go down, QPR, Burnley and Hull.

This is the game, but have given my tickets away as I have to go to f ing Venice!

Formations don't win games, players do, says Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson

City winger Riyad Mahrez returned to the starting line-up against West Ham

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson admits he may consider changing formation once again for his side's trip to West Brom on Saturday.

Pearson's men travel to the Hawthorns looking to make it back-to-back Premier League victories for only the second time this season, in their battle for survival.

The City boss did away with the three centre-backs he had used for the previous five league games for the victory over West Ham, reverting to four at the back in a 4-2-3-1.

The shift in system worked well at the King Power Stadium, as Riyad Mahrez replaced the injured Matt Upson and joined David Nugent and Jamie Vardy in a front three behind striker Leonardo Ulloa.

"Playing four at the back gave us the opportunity to play four forwards, albeit in a tweaked mode," said Pearson. "I am not particularly someone who panders to the needs of fans, but I think there is a perception that you need to be slightly more offensive at home.

"Playing the way that we did, with a 4-2-3-1, which we've played numerous times this season, we felt that was the best way of being more dominant with the ball, bearing in mind West Ham play a 4-3-3, so they play with one striker a lot.

"We played the 3-4-3 as a counter-attacking side and were very successful with it during games, but not necessarily successful with the results. But we caused people problems.

"I thought we might have surprised a few people as well and sometimes surprise is not a bad card to play. I may well change it for the next game bearing in mind the team we are playing, I might go 4-4-2."

Pearson has used nine different starting formations this season, the most of any Premier League manager, despite having a reputation for winning the Championship using mainly 4-4-2.

Pearson, though, says this was a misconception.

"I do get slightly annoyed that people labelled us as a 4-4-2 side last season," said Pearson. "We weren't that at all. We played lots of different systems, and were successful in most of them."

"Some of our best performances of late have been playing 3-4-3 but, because we were at home, we decided to go with four forwards.

"Sometimes you have to be creative with your formations to allow you to get an extra forward on the pitch.

"There is no magic wand, and formations don't win games.

"Players win games, being able to take opportunities when they arise during games. That is the formula for being a success."
