Lionheart Posted 8 April 2015 Posted 8 April 2015 qpr have a better scoring record than is unfortunately They've also got Charlie Austin who is far better than anyone we've got up front!
Matt Posted 8 April 2015 Posted 8 April 2015 Where's everyone drinking pre match then? Seen on a few away guide websites; The Vine; Beer and indian food apparently. The Park Hotel; Bit like the Holiday Inn near the KP I guess, a hotel, simple. Royal Oak; A pub. I don't know which is the best venue, or where everyone is gonna be, or if there are alternatives? Anyone else got input?

stuartn27 Posted 8 April 2015 Posted 8 April 2015 Just do what we need TO do and WIN. HOPE WE GO FOR IT
Ollie93 Posted 9 April 2015 Posted 9 April 2015 Where's everyone drinking pre match then? Think we are all going to drink in Birmingham centre near the Cathedral somewhere, then get the train from Snow hill to West Brom.
Pukkatrucker Posted 9 April 2015 Posted 9 April 2015 Bring in Albrighton for Mahrez and Kramaric for Ulloa and go at them with a positive, but not kamikaze mindset and we have a chance. I'd drop Mahrez because I think he narrows our attacking play and I think we look more dangerous when we spread our attacking play and hug the touchline more. He often cuts in and runs in to a sea of bodies stifiling our momentum. I'd bring in Kramaric because I think we could counter attack quicker with him rather than Ulloa although there is the obvious counter argument that if we are pinging in crosses it makes sense to have a big man in the middle. I don't want us to lose but I'd rather we went down fighting than speculating afterwards what could have been if we had gone for it. A point is not the end of the world anyway as there are more winnable games than this to come and the King Power is where our season will be defined
Dan Posted 9 April 2015 Posted 9 April 2015 I hope he isn't hinting at going back to five defenders. What a criminal surrender of this game that would be. There'd be no chance of winning.
ScouseFox Posted 9 April 2015 Posted 9 April 2015 if we don't play; kasper rdl - morgan (was imo but who cares) - huuuuuth - konch james - cambiasso albrighton - nuge - vardy kramaric or a variation of those players in some sort of system, after what we saw last week then it'd be a bottle job. but we'll get schlupp for sure, sigh, and probably not krama. wouldn't be upset if mahrez started as long as like on saturday, when it's apparent he's clearly not having a good day he gets taken off as soon as possible.

davieG Posted 9 April 2015 Posted 9 April 2015 A repeat of this result would be good and entertaining West Brom: It's fitting that Leicester should be the opponents for such a momentous occasion 12:06, 9 April 2015 By Bill Howell West Bromwich Albion face the Foxes at The Hawthorns this Saturday and celebrate the life of Jeff Astle - who made his Baggies debut against them in 1964 25 Shares Share Tweet +1 LinkedIn Mirrorpix West Bromwich Albion v Fulham in 1966: Jeff Astle in action. There is more than a tad of irony that Leicester City should be West Bromwich Albion'sopponents for Jeff Astle Day. The Foxes were on the other side of the pitch when the then 22-year-old striker donned navy and white stripes for the first time. “Less than three hours - that’s the time it took for me to bridge the gap between Fourth and First Division football”, Astle recalls having moved for £25,000 from Notts County on September 30th 1964. He found himself up front alongside John Kaye, trying to fire shots past Gordon Banks whilst wearing the absent Bobby Hope’s number 10 shirt. John Kaye By the following week he was wearing nine but by the February he was wearing number 8 and would do so for the next two years. It wasn’t until August 1967 that the number 9 shirt became his and his alone. As for his debut, it wasn’t the greatest. “I hadn’t been burdened with a lot of tactical instructions by the manager,” recalled Astle. “He’d merely told me that Albion centre-forward John Kaye had been taking a lot of stick and my job was to take some of the weight off his shoulders.” Albion lost 4-2 to Leicester that midweek night, their fourth straight defeat to leave them 16th with just two wins from 11 league games. GALLERY: The very best of West Bromwich Albion nostalgia VIEW GALLERY A Colin Appleton penalty together with Billy Hodgson, Frank McLintock and Bobby Svarc scored for City. Albion’s goals came from full-backs Bobby Cram (a penalty) and Graham Williams. “I have to admit that it wasn’t exactly a story-book debut,” Astle recalled. “I had one chance throughout the match - and muffed it! Early on I found myself with a clear sight at goal, just inside the penalty area. “I swung at the ball. And it went soaring high over the bar. This was in the first ten minutes of the game. Hardly a happy start. But although I did nothing to distinguish myself during the rest of the game, and we lost 4-2, it produced one very satisfying and significant revelation. “When my early goal attempt finished high up in the terraces the crowed jeered . . . as one would expect. For a young lad, savouring his first taste of top-class football, it could have had a disastrous effect on his morale. "It didn’t worry me at all, however. I didn’t even think of it again until after the game when I was discussing the miss with my wife. “She said how nice it would have been had I marked my debut with a goal. I agreed with her. Jeff Astle "Then it dawned on me that I had survived my first big test and had found my temperament equal to the occasion. "I realised then, for the first time, that I had the right mental make-up to withstand all the pressures and tensions of modern football.” Kaye, signed for almost twice as much two seasons earlier, would remain a fine bustling centre-forward until an injury to Eddie Colquhoun in April 1968 midway through a mammoth FA Cup quarter-final tie with Liverpool. Kaye slotted in alongside John Talbut in the centre of defence and Astle? The rest is history. Extracts taken from Jeff Astle’s autobiography, Striker! m4DD0gg Posted 9 April 2015 Posted 9 April 2015 Lets hope pearson does not make too drastic a change for this game based on the performance of the overall team last week.....oh too late http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/Formations-don-t-win-games-players-says-Leicester/story-26302861-detail/story.html
NotTheMarketLeader Posted 9 April 2015 Posted 9 April 2015 If we play with same formation and swap kram for ulloa and albrighton for mahrez we have an excellent chance. THIS in as much as it would give us a better chance. Mahrez has been pitiful recently, how he got a start on Saturday beggars belief. He simply is not up for the fight - fans should consider this when raving at one of his rare PRODUCTIVE performances. Yes he can dribble but how often is there an end product?
psychonaut Posted 9 April 2015 Posted 9 April 2015 If he changes the formation (i.e 5 at the back) and we lose. Sack the c*ynt.

Leicesterpool Posted 9 April 2015 Posted 9 April 2015 Before we beat West Ham I'd thought we'd win this anyway, however seeing as they were hammered last week we may see huge reaction from them this week. However saying that if we play like we did last week then we should be able to get something out of this game 2-1 Leicester! Starting XI- There is a few changes but mainly I've gone with the team that played well in the second half. Kasper De Laet Morgan Huth Konchesky Albrighton Cambiasso King Vardy Nugent Kramaric Bench: Hamer, Wasileswki, James, Schlupp, Drinkwater, Mahrez & Ulloa.

Stevosevic Posted 9 April 2015 Posted 9 April 2015 I think we'll see Hammond back in the team in a 3. With a front 3 of Vardy, Nugent and Albrighton

shailen Posted 9 April 2015 Posted 9 April 2015 We turn up, we win. We are a much better footballing team than West Brom, but they will be difficult to break down as always with a Tony Pulis team. Go with the same line up and bring on Kramaric around 60 mins if we need a goal.
RedSoxUK Posted 9 April 2015 Posted 9 April 2015 http://www.lcfc.com/news/article/picture-gallery-training-2386487.aspx Looking at pics 28 and 29 it looks like the same team as sat bar mahrez dropping out for Albrighton Pretty sure Nigel stopped media / fans watching training sessions so he could work on/with his intended 11 pre-game. Well sniffed out, though the LCFC photographer may have gifted the opposition our team sheet a few days early. If that't the 11, then I can't complain, Mahrez hasn't looked himself recently.
weller54 Posted 10 April 2015 Author Posted 10 April 2015 I have a very good feeling about this game.. Think we'll sneak it and get a HUGE 3 points.... It's game on then!!!!..
