Leicesterpool Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 As I mentioned in the post match thread, I gave the man of the match to Marc Albrighton who got an 9/10 from me, alongside Vardy. Lowest score I gave to Ulloa who got a 4/10.
Jam Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 I also thought Albrighton was quality. Whenever he got the ball i expected something to happen and it did. I thought Marcin did very well when he came on aswell 7/10
kingfox Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 8 for Huth, Albrighton, Schlupp & Vardy. The rest a mixture.
Harry - LCFC Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 6's mainly. Can't just focus on the second half.
AKCJ Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 8 for Huth, Albrighton, Schlupp & Vardy. The rest a mixture. I think an 8 for Schlupp is very generous. He was abysmal in the first half and only looked decent in the second when he was up against a slow and out of position CB. # I've gone for 6s all round but 8s for Huth, Cambi and Vardy, a 7 for Nuge and a 4 for RDL.
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Kasper 6 - Didn't have that much to do. Potentially could have done a bit better with Fletcher's header but that is being critical, came out and punched a few a little better. RDL 5 - Got beat a couple of times very easily and also lost his man on the the set piece. Still better than Simpson. Morgan 6 - Again another unfortunate deflection for the own goal. Dealt with their strikers pretty well on the whole and is getting better playing with Huth regurlarly. Huth 7 - Dominant in the air, better on the floor too than in previous weeks. Took his goal well. Few too many silly fouls but on the whole good performance. Schlupp 6 - First half was a 4, second half a 7. When he actually ran at their full back caused all sorts of problems. Too indecisive on occasions and end product not great. Defensive liability when in a back 4. Albrighton 7 - Hard work and caused them a good amount of problems. Some wasteful deliveries but a good performance from him. Look a little more balanced with him in the wide area than Mahrez. James 5 - Not one of his better days and was bypassed for parts of the game. Maybe time for a spell on the side with King and Drinkwater breathing down his neck. Cambiasso 7 - Again a touch of class about him and quick vision for the goal. If only he had the legs he once had then he would be unbelievable (and not at LCFC.) Absolute model pro and is in effect the captain. Vardy 8 (MOTM) - Back to the Vardy of old in the last few weeks. Running at players, and his goal was really well taken. Better down the middle in the 2nd half than wide in the first. Nugent 7 - We play better with him in the team. Took his goal well and worked hard as always. Slightly too slow of thought to be a good prem striker but the best man we have in that role. Ulloa 6 - Actually won more headers than I expected against their giants. Nice assist for Nuge but again too quick to throw himself about. Criminal to allow Fletcher to get across him for their goal. Wasyl 7 - Good distribution and clever nod down instead of going for goal for Huth's. In a 3 man defence his has to be in. King 6 - Kept the ball nicely and actually looked to go forward which is sometimes his weakness. Mahrez N/A - Not enough time to be involved. Nige 8 - Didn't disagree with the starting 11, made changes that influenced the game again and change of system fvcked up the tactical genius that is Tony Pulis (Pulis In anyone?) Ref 6 - At the ground I was giving him and the lino a bollocking because it looked like the ball went well out for their 2nd, but replays show it was too tight to call. Was alright. West Brom 3 - Good atmosphere created by their fans, dreadful on pitch performance. Created fvck all in the second half other than the Berahino shot and a long range free kick. Have some decent players but look like they are playing with no freedom or expressing themselves.
The Doctor Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 6s all round aside from Albrighton (7) and De Laet (5). As unplayable as Jeff was second half, he was utter muck first. Nigel gets an 8 for his half-time masterstroke with the change of the formation - within about 5 minutes it was obvious that we were getting something unless their keeper had a wonder-day.
Fox92 Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Cambiasso 8, man of the match. Tidied up midfield well, created the first and his run played part in the second. Set pieces far better than James' to. De Laet 4.

Guest ttfn Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Schmeichel 6 - didn't have a lot to do De Laet 5 - not his best game. Morgan 7 - has looked a lot more like his old self lately. Huth 7.5 - solid and a goal to boot. Schlupp 6 - a generous 4 for the first half and a well-earned 8 in the second. Cambiasso 8 - totally ran the game and played a key role in the two goals he didn't assist (let's face it he had nothing to do with the 3rd) James 5 - no impact. Albrighton 6 - kept plugging away after a very quiet first half. Nugent 8 - worked hard throughout and took his goal brilliantly. Vardy 8 - as above Ulloa 5 - just not much of a target man (notwithstanding the fact that the 1 header he did win led to a goal). Subs: Wasyl 7 - always effective King 6.5 - very tidy. Mahrez 5 - no impact.
FireFox Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 10 for Cambiasso. Couldn't fault him for anything. Had a role in each goal.
Kitchandro Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Vardy gets a 9. Couldn't really fault Cambi, Nugent or Huth either. Ulloa will probably start against Swansea despite being absolutely pants defensively and in front of goal. Just because Pearson is Pearson.

Ulloa as been poor for some time, but still Pearson is persistent in starting him. You would have thought cause of Ulloa's poor form this would have been a perfect opportunity to bring Kramaric into the side and see what he can do.

But then again, we're winning with him in the team at the moment and because of his size, it presents a different challenge to the opposition and allows us to mix things up a bit more so you can't really hold it against Nige for sticking with him.

Exactly. And who won the flick on for the first goal? Ulloa. He brings something different to the team, something to aim at, and does a lot of work defending set pieces too.
davieG Posted 14 April 2015 Posted 14 April 2015 Forget Eden Hazard, Mesut Ozil and Michael Carrick... the best player in the Premier League this weekend was Jamie Vardy, and it's nothing new from the Leicester striker http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3037975/Forget-Eden-Hazard-Mesut-Ozil-Michael-Carrick-best-player-Premier-League-weekend-Jamie-Vardy-s-new-Leicester-striker.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 14 April 2015 Posted 14 April 2015 8s for Vards, Marc and Jeff (feeling generous ), 5s for RDL and Leo, the rest a mix. 3 for WBA, poorest team I've seen this season.
Alf Bentley Posted 14 April 2015 Posted 14 April 2015 Forget Eden Hazard, Mesut Ozil and Michael Carrick... the best player in the Premier League this weekend was Jamie Vardy, and it's nothing new from the Leicester striker http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3037975/Forget-Eden-Hazard-Mesut-Ozil-Michael-Carrick-best-player-Premier-League-weekend-Jamie-Vardy-s-new-Leicester-striker.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490 A slightly over the top review of Vardy's season, though he's been excellent recently and could be a key player for the rest of the season. Delighted for him, though. Seeing articles like this, together with his recent form, can only help his confidence. Easy to forget that he was playing non-league this time 3 years ago. He has an excellent attitude to adversity. Struggled with some aspects of his game, like finishing, during his early months here (though his team play was good)...but turned it all round last season at Championship level. Struggled to make the Premier League grade (Man U aside) in the early months of this season.....but is turning it around again. Delighted for him - and us.
Guest MattP Posted 14 April 2015 Posted 14 April 2015 Schmeichel 6 - Still doesn't inspire any confidence on set pieces although don't think he could really do anything with either.De Laet 5 - looked off the pace again, we look better with a back 3 and him on the bench.Morgan 7 - much better from Wes but him and Huth at set plays still a problem/Huth 8 - vital goal,Schlupp 6 - a 4 for a horrific first half where he was partly at fault for both goals, 8 for the second half where we saw absolutely everything that we want to see from Schulpp, don't know how many times it has to be said, simly not a left back, his defending for the second goal was comical.Cambiasso 8 - Superb all match, touch of class in midfield and the ball for the first goal was sensational.James 5 - struggled all game, I'd still persist with him though as Cambiasso really likes playing next to him in the same way Drinkwater did last season.Albrighton 7 - Did very well, effort was superb second half and looked a genuine threat.Nugent 8 - That vital link our team needs if we are to score goals, getting better with age as a footballer.Vardy 9 - It took him a while in the Championship, it took him a while in the Premier League, now he's arrived again, it's all uphill from here, unplayable on this form.Ulloa 7 - Think he's getting an incredible amount of stick, great assist for the first and took the stick off two centre backs that released so much space for other players at times.Subs:Wasyl 8 - solid in defence and super assist.King 7 - did nothing wrong.Mahrez 5 - no impact.
