Sunbury Fox Posted 17 April 2015 Posted 17 April 2015 Their's; Everton (A) - Away against a side with nothing to play for Leicester (H) - Home advantage against relegation rival West Ham (A) - Nothing to play for. Hull (A) - Away against relegation rival. Stoke (H) - Nothing to play for. Villa (A) - Away against a side with (potentially) nothing to play for. # of games against sides with a lot to play for 2 (potentially 3). Ours Swansea (H) - Home against a side with nothing to play for. Burnley (A) - Away against relegation rival. Chelsea (H) - Home against a side who (if they win their games up to that point) will win the league if they beat us. Newcastle (H) - Home against a side with nothing to play for. Southampton (H) - Home against side gunning for Europe. Sunderland (A) - Away against relegation rival. QPR (H) - Home advantage against relegation rival. # of games against sides with a lot to play for - 5 I'd rather be in their shoes. Especially considering they've been half decent on the road and they'll be looking to win the two home games. Decent away? They've won only 1 game away all season and have to play 4 out of their last 6 away. Besides, I think there is a big difference between playing teams with nothing to play for away than at home - those teams are far less likely to roll over in front of their own fans. Surely having 5 out of 7 at home must be preferable to 2 out of 6 at home?

jimmeh Posted 17 April 2015 Posted 17 April 2015 Merson is only backing us to inflate his own ego imo, so he can always say 'you's lots wrotes Leicester off, they weren't gets many pelanties, but I always knew they'ds do it, them boys, I predicteds it, I dids, when you's lots had wrotes them offs'. He knows a lot more about football than you ever will. Why can't you appreciate a top player when he was in his prime. A lot of footballers are dumb. We have danny simpson and jamie vardy
ScouseFox Posted 17 April 2015 Posted 17 April 2015 i'd definitely take our position and run in over burnley's. think of the whole bottom 7 the two of us have it most in our hands though. the most winnable games etc and the ones who can put a run together on our own backs. the rest all have a lot of proper hard games. their recent form is fvcking woeful though. they've scored one goal in two months. not the kind of form where you'd be backing yourself to get enough goals and points to pull away from the bottom, unlike our last three games (pretty small amount but the obvious signs are there), where we've shown we can score, are #fearless (no homo) and could stay up.

A lot of footballers are dumb. We have danny simpson and jamie vardy The first sentence, most pundits probably know a lot more about football than anyone on this forum ever will, so shall we just shut it down and stop talking about football? As for the second sentence, what does that have to do with what I said?
