EnglishOxide Posted 19 April 2015 Posted 19 April 2015 And does everyone else feel that every game is an event? Packed crowds down the KP, the pubs fill up and the city is buzzing. Be a shame to lose that. I think that's due to the fact that there are fewer games yet there is more coverage. The downside is that it breeds fans that think some games are the be all and end all. They get hysterical and start calling for a managers head after 2 games. Arsenal fans out our place were well stressed out, half of em calling for Wenger's head, etc. And that was two games into the season!
ozleicester Posted 19 April 2015 Posted 19 April 2015 TV every week People in Perth learn who Leicester is A possible return to the UK for the Christmas games the excitement that playing the best brings building a team that will slowly climb the ladder another year of Cambiasso The chance to see what level Kramaric can reach
Bayfox Posted 19 April 2015 Posted 19 April 2015 Agreed but a great boozer with a great selection of beers or a grubby Wetherspoons or Harvester in suburban Yeovil? Got to try everything once.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 19 April 2015 Posted 19 April 2015 My top reason would have to be being on MOTD every week. Especially when we win!
Larry_LCFC Posted 19 April 2015 Author Posted 19 April 2015 You lot are too sensible and rational I was expecting people to be having massive sex parties using our premier league status to attract superstar models. Or is that just me?
Donut Posted 19 April 2015 Posted 19 April 2015 Because days like Man Utd, West Ham, West Brom and yesterday are about a million times better than beating A.N. Other in the Championship. Yesterday was off the charts
Unabomber Posted 19 April 2015 Posted 19 April 2015 The coverage, the attention, the feeling of scoring.
Donut Posted 19 April 2015 Posted 19 April 2015 Being acknowledged and respected as a decent team too
bovril Posted 19 April 2015 Posted 19 April 2015 I've experienced too many relegations. Being able to see fantastic players pull on the royal blue.
6ups 6downs 2 cups Posted 19 April 2015 Posted 19 April 2015 Having an excuse to get to the pub earlier before the game to ensure we find somewhere to sit down.
Donut Posted 19 April 2015 Posted 19 April 2015 Because of the elevated status of the club, you get to see champions league winners wear our shirt. Some of the most promising talent in Europe want to come to Leicester. We have a full house every week, and the atmosphere can be unbelieveable. Every game is big. Theres no turn up in apathy games anymore. Beating big teams is magnificent. Because this club could seriously go places in the next few years.
Monsell1976 Posted 19 April 2015 Posted 19 April 2015 The clubs main reason is financial security, if the money is managed properly, and Peter Taylor isn't buying the players. As a fan, every fan in the country should want to be in the top league. Also the championship highlights are on far to late.
Beliall Posted 19 April 2015 Posted 19 April 2015 The coverage, the attention, the feeling of scoring. the question was "why do you want leicester in the prem", not, "why do you use tinder"
LJS Posted 19 April 2015 Posted 19 April 2015 I always want to see us compete at the highest level and establishing ourselves would give us an opportunity to attract the best players and, hopefully, challenge for trophies. But there are downsides as a supporter. I don't enjoy the razzmatazz around the top flight and I miss regular midweek evening games. Small sacrifices in the scheme of things though.
Donut Posted 19 April 2015 Posted 19 April 2015 I actually quite like the fact that there arent many mid week games to be honest.
LJS Posted 19 April 2015 Posted 19 April 2015 I actually quite like the fact that there arent many mid week games to be honest.I really miss them. I'm not sure why. There's just something about playing under floodlights in the pissing, freezing rain that defines English football for me. I even quite enjoy the pain in the arse of rushing to get the last train back to Hinckley.I miss the regularity of games as well. I know we only have four fewer at home but sometimes the gap between matches feels dead long. I'm buzzing for the run of home matches after Burnley and that hasn't happened enough this season. And I absolutely hate that all matches are promoted as big events in their own right. It just takes something away from it for me. I love us being (relatively) successful but I've maintained all along that the Premier League is much worse than lower divisions for match-going experiences. I find watching Hinckley at level 10 a refreshing change, for instance. At least it's all about the football. In the Premier League it's all about 'the product'.
David Hankey Posted 19 April 2015 Posted 19 April 2015 I want Leicester City to be in the EPL permanently, there is nowhere else better to be. Obviously I don't want to see us struggle, I've aged 10 years since the start of this season, but if we can build and grow and plan for the next 5 years then the next 5 and so on. Surely, the Thais have a plan with regard to consolidation and even extending the capacity of the stadium but we have to get this season out of the way first.
RonnieTodger Posted 19 April 2015 Posted 19 April 2015 Not having that stupid Football League bubble-writing on the back of the shirt.

If we are lucky we will have a Fulham/Bolton like long spell in the top flight. There are some clubs who will almost never be relegated. Eight? The rest are in competition with 30-40 other mid-sized clubs who would love a bottom 12 top flight slot with a lucky few breaking into the top eight on isolated occasions. We're one of them. If we break the mould that would be fantastic but otherwise let's just enjoy it for what it is.
Rincewind Posted 19 April 2015 Posted 19 April 2015 I like to hear them mentioned alongside the 'big' clubs. Thought they have been unlucky to be in the position that they are. They are not top 10 quality but should have been safe by now. There are at least 6 average teams who we are on par with and 3-4 poorer teams but that is the attraction of the PL. The uncertainty of results and whether I will have a heart attack following them. The former preferable to the latter.
