Next season who would you like to see come in?

Bo-Kyung Kim (Wigan) is available on a free this summer.

And why the heck hasn't Piotr Trochowski found another club yet?? Has been in a contract dispute with Sevilla since last September.

Just seen that Crystal Palace are expected to beat Aston Villa in a race to sign Yohan Cabaye from PSG. Would love him here and surely we can compete with these to clubs for his signature?!

What?! I'd snap your hand off if you offered me Cabaye.

Joel Matip from Schalke? Link up with Fuchs

Throw Draxler in as well lol

Read somewhere that Joel Matip had been offered to Newcastle for £10mil or something like that. Probably bullshit as a story in itself but no doubt Matip would probably command a large fee. I'd certainly take him though, but feel there may be cheaper options out there.

Hmmm yeah £10m is a lot for a defender. Still quite young though so could be a decent investment

Amazing to think that now we have more pulling power than clubs below us like Newcastle, Villa, Sunderland etc.

I don't know if it's pulling power or simply shrewd business coupled with a manager knowing what he's doing/learning from past mistakes.

When's the last time we were able to announce a new signing this early into an off-season? And that by the OS?

We'll still have to see how the transfer market pans out over the course of the entire summer. I'm very much looking forward to it.

I genuinely think we're a more attractive club than most in this league bar the top 8/9. Mad when this time 18 months ago we were battling it out with the likes of Ipswich Town for a player.

I do hope we can cling onto Cambiasso and/or that he can somehow act as an intermediate helping us to sign one or two fellow countrymen. I don't know what it is, but Argentinian footballers in general have a very good work ethic on and off the pitch (yes, exceptions prove the rule).

All South American players have a ridiculous work rate. Take Sanchez, Suarez...etc. Think those that have had a tougher upbringing want it that much more. That could apply to JV as well.

CB is an area I'm very excited to see us strengthen this summer. Hopefully Huth will be through the doors soon enough.

After that I'd love to see us go in for a slightly larger money bid on a younger, up and coming CB like Aleksandar Dragović of Dynamo Kiev, John Brooks of Hertha Berlin or Karim Rekik of Manchester City (loaned to PSV last few seasons). They could bed in well alongside Huth, Morgan and Wasilewski and learn from their experience.

Someone has been playing too much FIFA   what about Alvarez Balanta as well?

Jordan Amavi (LB) - Only 21 years old. Plays in the French 1st Divison (Ligue 1) for OGC Nice. Very good at both defending and attacking. Would be a decent signing.

That's more along the lines we should be going for. Someone who's value you'd expect to grow.

According to the French football newspaper "L'équipe", Atlético are interested in signing him - so no chance for us, I'm afraid.

Karim Rekik on loan isn't a bad shout.

Forget about Dragovic - we'd have to pay way over the odds to buy him out of his contract with Kiev. Even a loan option is out of the question - he'd only join a club with similar pedigree, I suppose.

Brooks' name has been mentioned numerous times on here in the past 12 to 18 months and he does look like a realistic option. But then again, we'd have to buy him out of a contract that runs for another two years. Which could be costly.

Rekik is a fantastic suggesion, don't know how likely it is that Manchester City would loan him out to another Premier League club.

Dragovic is more aspirational I guess. Brooks would be doable and it was probably me mentioning his name on this thread aha - I've always been impressed when I've watched Hertha play and in the World Cup for USA he was brilliant. He's valued at around £4-5mil online and Hertha Berlin are a mid table outfit so I'm sure they'd sell if we came knocking. Rekik on loan is both realistic and low risk. A permanent clause wouldn't be out of the question either I'd imagine.

It's not like we'll be challenging for the title, him getting Premier League experience with us could be a good move as far as Man City are concerned.
