Next season who would you like to see come in?

Heard rumours Ajax are interested in re-signing John Heitinga (currently at Hertha BSC). Worth a punt? Strikes me as a no-nonsene defender, just like Robert Huth.

What is the Lewis Holtby obsession?

Always looked poor when i've seen him.

I agree.

Never seen the fascination in him?

could we possibly get free agent Ron Vlaar?? been offered a contract by Villa but hoping for someone better to come in for him?

On the face of it, are we really that much better than Villa? Sideways move for him if anything. Don't get me wrong though, Huth, Vlaar, Wasyl, Fuchs and, I guess, Albrighton would be an absolute unit of a defence.

According to 'CIES' (I hadn't heard of it either till I was reading on sky sports) Andre ayew (likely to go Swansea), Ricardo carvalho, rod fanni, abate, Cristian Maggio and nigel de Jong are all free agents. Would love all of them but abate.

There was a reason why Everton sold him.

Martinez no longer wanted him. Only made a single league appearance in 2013/2014 for the Toffees.

Besides, Everton didn't sell him - he left on a free transfer.

Kevin Mirallas

André Ayew (apparently in talks with Swansea, so probably too late)

Pione Sisto (if Mahrez leaves)

Pione Sisto? Have you been playing football manager?

Is it that ridiculous to think we could attract a player like Yevhen Konoplyanka?

Contract is expired and linked with Sevilla and Stoke.

Wages would be the stumbling block presumably.

This would really like to see him here

I love it when somebody suggests a quite obscure player and get accused of just knowing them from Football manager lol

Anyways.....

Vaclav Kadlec

Dennis Praet

Tybias Browning

Yes. But what has that got to do with it? I am Danish, live in Denmark and follow Danish football. He's had a brilliant season at FC Midtjylland, best exemplified by him coming back from a long-term injury to score a goal and provide an assist in a 40 minute sub cameo against FC Copenhagen to virtually seal the title.

He's called up for the vital qualifier against Serbia on Saturday and has made quite an impression on Morten Olsen.

Would absolutely love to see De Jong come to us, just the sort of player I like, a tough tackling hard man in the middle while generally remaining on the right side of the rules. Maggio would be good for our current system as well. Ayew would be a good signing also

I'm not doubting he is a really good player in real life as football manager tends to be very accurate with this part of the game I am just stating that this is the only way most people would have heard of him, unless they watch a fair bit of Danish football like you. If football manager is accurate with contract information (which I doubt it is) then he will have a minimum fee release clause of 2.1 million would he not? If so then that is what I would consider value for money.

Just saying. Don't dismiss a suggestion simply because you haven't seen them play yourself :)

I don't think FM is accurate with regards to contract details, and especially not clauses!

I would be very very surprised if he isn't snapped up this summer though as he will also be playing at the Under-21 Euros and clubs that haven't seen him yet will definitely notice him there.

A club like ours would have to make a quick move for him before bigger clubs show serious interest.

I think Jonjo Shelvey from Swansea would be a awsome signing for us.  He would pair up with Estaban perfectly (if he signs) and would learn lots of him to be a good replacement when he retires.

Plus he is 6.1, strong, good vision and still just 23.  Liverpool were clowns letting him go, could bag ourselves a gem at 11-12m.

Strong marauding midfielder is needed, everything will click together.
