Cambiasso Trophy. Independiente, Inter, Leicester. Three way tournament in the summer at our place.

Real Madrid as well?

I think an inter/real all star side (players must have played with Esteban to qualify) managed by Jose and proceeds to charity would be a great late July date! If we stay up and EC stays, then we do it next summer.

Yeah defo Steve Walsh.

Couple of years and Kingy is due one.

I don't agree with testimonials in this day and age in the top two divisions.

Firstly you would expect a player at the bottom end of the two leagues to be earning £150k a year, so to arrange a testimonial with financial benefit would be morally wrong.

Then there is the case that it could be for a charitable benefit. This is more realistic, but the games that generally take place to mark the testimonial are dreadful affairs, and not worth watching.

I have been to many in the seventies and eighties, and I finally started to give them a wide berth when we gave Gordon Banks a testimonial in around 1995, about 25 years after he left. It was a dreadful spectacle to watch and I couldn't believe Banks was having another testimonial, with funds going to him 25 years after he left. This certainly wasn't his first benefit match and I thought it morally wrong and I felt it wrong that we arranged this benefit match, when Leicester certainly hadn't been the club close to his heart for many many years.

King has been a good servant, but if there was a charity match arranged I wouldn't attend due to it probably being a dull affair as per all testimonials.

I would though support a dinner at the club, where he could be recognised by his colleagues with proceeds going to charity.

Well Banks certainly didn't earn much.

Greatest player we've ever had - one of the greatest English and World players ever and he had to open a driving school to earn money.

Logan's due one too surely?

Ah, Conrad, currently our longest-serving player or by using that term "player" are the Club in breach of trading standards regulations?

No time for Logan. Had the chance of first team football at Bristol Rovers on a contract not that different to the one at Leicester. But to prefer to stay at Leicester, knowing he would be a bench warmer shows the nature of the player. Certainly not the sort I would want in my team.

Surely the end of next season? Next season will be his 10th season in the first team.
