Can't believe Wookie is 17. When he's old enough he'd be decent to go for a pint with

I post in the morning when on the shitter. At work when on the shitter. After work at home, you guessed it, on the shitter and now. Always now

Stop grooming wookie!

I post on my lunch breaks (now) and when I'm at home.

And on match days I like to argue with the ****** cos some of them oh man, so stupid.

Other than that I just post at any opportunity to say something funny or put someone down.

I'm on way too much and I blame easy access via the smartphone for that. Any time I've got a minute spare through the working day I'll fire up ft for a mini break. Stuck in traffic? Browse ft. Boring meeting? Browse ft. Can't sleep? Browse ft. Waiting for dinner to be cooked? Browse ft. Etc etc

The debates on here are great. A bit repetitive at times for sure, but it's much more balanced and tolerant now that the old aggressive left wing clique has quietened down. There seems to be more people involved now than ever before, with some top quality new and younger posters getting involved as well.

Moose grooming as usual.

I probably shouldn't expect you to understand this, but not every minute of every meeting is relevant to every attendee. Half the things being discussed, I couldn't understand even if I was listening. There's an expectancy for people to remain detached when discussions don't concern them otherwise you get fools talking crap about things they don't understand, which is unhelpful and inefficient for everyone. That's how we do.

Do they nudge you when you have to bring the drinks to the table?

I looked at that how old.net thing and it said I was 31

It reckons a picture of me at the same age is a 33 year old woman so I wouldn't worry about it.

I know if I was boss and someone was texting while I was holding an important meeting with employees I would not be happy'

I understand that everything at a meeting may not be relevant to everyone but if its not your dept then keep quiet.

It is like a teacher with a classroom of kids and one kid is staring out the window or playing a game on his Iphone.

'Tommy, what was I just talking about.?'

'I don't know miss'

No but sometimes you do have to pass the snacks around.

On the subject of which our internal team meetings have benefitted from a significant upturn in morale after I suggested that we should level up from ordinary snacks like biscuits. It's now the responsibility of a different attendee each time to bring snacks and they must aim to impress. We've had meat platters, selections of olives, a chocolate fountain, fresh sashimi and rumours are circulating that the next chap is planning on bringing an electric hot pot and a selection of raw meats and salad. If anyone has team meetings that suffer from low morale, this technique is highly recommended.

I take it your working hours are taken inbetween coffee breaks, meal breaks and meetings?

Are youa Hobbit?

Yes pretty much although periods of participation in meetings is also classed as work.

The question as to if I'm a hobbit is too smart for me, ken. I have absolutely no idea where that has come from.

Hobbits like meals and lots of them. They have an early breakfast and a mid morning breakfast.

Don't McDonalds use their own food at business meetings?

So you attend a 3 hour meeting and your allowed to play on FT but only get paid when you're participating in the meetings?

"classed as work" signifies its not upper management then. One day you'll have a job where hours aren't counted.

I rarely have anything of value to add, but that doesn't seem to stop me being fairly active any time between 12:00 and 03:00.

Being a mod I have to read every thread, I sometimes end up getting involved in arguments I have no interest in.

I think most of my posts have just been stating the obvious on match day threads.

It's so hard to be insightful when commenting on a game

I'm always like "Yeh gud game, Vardy was gud, Cambiasso was gud, glad we won yay" or something to that effect.

I used a laptop when I first joined.

I've been posting via smartphone for a while now. It's more difficult to post pics from a phone so I stopped posting crap in the Phunny Photos thread. I miss that thread.

I tend to post in the same 4 or 5 threads in G Chat. Given where I live, I post as if I am FT's foreign correspondent, so mostly post about Scottish football, politics up here or in the cannabis thread.

Bring back Live Chat!

I used to suffer from insomnia and would post prolifically in the middle of the night... I now sleep, and rarely post after 1am.
