dylanlegend Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Lucky to have them as owners they deserve more credit
glenelgfox Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Bl**dy hell, there are some miserable and ungrateful sods on here. Go and ask some other clubs what they get from their owners and then come on and moan. Get a life and be thankful. Having never seen City live and I have followed them all my life passionately from down under I can't believe there are supporters of our club complaining about being given a free drink as a thanks for the support. Id just be happy seeing foxes live. OK it's only a bottle of water or one beer but fvck me our owners have shown more generosity re these gestures than what I can see from other clubs yet we still have people turning a positive thread into a negative with their moaning over a freebie!
6ups 6downs 2 cups Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 You know with all the TV rights money coming the way of the Prem, do you think our owners (any owners) will actually lower ticket prices? Like really give something back to the loyal supporters? The free pint is great, I'm not knocking it one bit. But I do wonder whether something more meaningful, long term, might be done? West Ham are doing it next season apparently..ie lowering ticket prices. That would be a real big statement by the Thais.
Hollism Posted 22 May 2015 Posted 22 May 2015 I don't even know what to say. But yes, probably. I know, I know. Feel like a dick now Just looked at the link anyway and it has to be redeemed pre-match, so that will be a no

AyewJoking Posted 22 May 2015 Posted 22 May 2015 It's a nice gesture, but it's hardly amazing considering how much money LCFC PLC makes from it's customers. Don't see why people are blown away by this at least they make the effort
tomtom Posted 22 May 2015 Posted 22 May 2015 http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/apr/22/west-ham-season-ticket-prices-olympic-stadium-taxpayers-money-karren-brady Think West Ham can afford to reduce season ticket prices. They're moving to a ground twice the size of their current one and are worried about filling it, it's a very wise move, not some great gesture like being made out
tomtom Posted 22 May 2015 Posted 22 May 2015 Thanks, I'd worked out how season tickets work. Ha ha ha you sure he wasn't joking? I guarantee he wasn't joking! He was there a good minute complaining then come out with some old crap about him not even liking lager anyway and it being "a woman's drink" when when his friends started to cotton on to his behaviour
ithuriel Posted 22 May 2015 Posted 22 May 2015 I feel awful for asking, but I am curious. I'm going to this game courtesy of the free ticket for helping with the collections for Birch's run. Will I be eligible for a free pint? If it is like last year, you get club employees giving vouchers to you as you go in but some cant be bothered and you can end up with a few vouchers. Nice gesture yet again from the owners
stripeyfox Posted 22 May 2015 Posted 22 May 2015 They're moving to a ground twice the size of their current one and are worried about filling it, it's a very wise move, not some great gesture like being made out This. West Ham need to find a way of shifting at least another 22000 season tickets on top of existing STH. And despite the reduction, Hammers fans are not entirely happy about being uprooted from Upton Park and shoehorned into a stadium in the which the views are much worse, just because Brady can get it on the cheap. Is certainly take our owners over her and the other clowns at West Ham
MC Prussian Posted 22 May 2015 Posted 22 May 2015 It's a nice gesture, but it's hardly amazing considering how much money LCFC PLC makes from it's customers. Don't see why people are blown away by this They make by far more ROI now thanks to the Sky TV deal, with PL safety guaranteed for at least another year - the matchday revenue plays into it, but hardly covers a substantial, at most a partial amount of the running costs. In the end, it also boils down to the consortium still putting their own money into the club.
David Hankey Posted 22 May 2015 Posted 22 May 2015 What a fine gesture, thank you, Vichai & Aiyawatt. Why do some folk have to decry what these fantastic have done? Small-minded and ungrateful bastards, I suppose they'll refuse their free drink!!
Robin JD Popley Posted 22 May 2015 Posted 22 May 2015 Thank you to the Srivaddhanaprabha's for this latest kind gesture. They really are the best owners we could hope for.
The Railway Man Posted 22 May 2015 Posted 22 May 2015 It's a nice gesture, but it's hardly amazing considering how much money LCFC PLC makes from it's customers. Don't see why people are blown away by this Because football fans are treated like shit so buying a beer actually goes a long way in this day and age, it's also a very British thing to do, show your appreciate to buy someone a pint. It's a nice gesture though, our owners are clearly better than most.

kingcarr21 Posted 22 May 2015 Posted 22 May 2015 http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/32844113 Recognised on the BBC website now. Let other clubs and fans see how awesome our owners are.
Guest MattP Posted 22 May 2015 Posted 22 May 2015 Anyone think they will stick to the rules regarding 2.45? I want my free beer but I'm not getting in that early for it.
stripeyfox Posted 22 May 2015 Posted 22 May 2015 A colleague of mine reckons Middlesbrough season ticket holders get a free pint every home game! Which, if true, is pretty awesome. But like I say, no complaints from me. My ST costs £370 ish - I can take my boy for next to nothing and if you compare that to Forest, for example, season tickets have gone up again for another season in the Championship with little prospect of getting out of it (other than downwards!). Just checked Forest prices (adult) - Trent End £ 449.00, Main Stand £ 574 - £ 606, Bridgford £ 551, Clough Stand Upper £ 574, Lower £ 457!
Dynamogoon Posted 22 May 2015 Posted 22 May 2015 Best owners we have had in my 30years supporting. I think it is a quality gesture, they don't have to do it, most clubs wouldn't. We really do have some complete divs on here at times. Moaning about everything and anything. F**k off down the Tigers Best owners we have had in my 30years supporting. Arriba Los Zorros Posted 22 May 2015 Posted 22 May 2015 Brilliant, you get a free rank beer that costs them 20p with your £50 ticket, bargain! (but not at half time) bargain ˈbɑːɡɪn/ noun a thing bought or offered for sale much more cheaply than is usual or expected. "the table was a real bargain" synonyms: good buy, cheap buy I've checked the dictionary and you are correct, it is indeed a bargain. Good on you for pointing it out
Guest Papasmurf Posted 22 May 2015 Posted 22 May 2015 Dear god, now we're complaining about getting something for nothing.
