MC Prussian Posted 5 June 2015 Posted 5 June 2015 FC United have had their maiden match at Broadhurst Park against Benfica B on the 29th of May:
Kitchandro Posted 5 June 2015 Posted 5 June 2015 Hope Tranmere and Grimsby come back up. It seems every year now a fairly decent sized club drops out of the league, we've also had Luton and Bristol Rovers in recent years.
CosbehFox Posted 6 June 2015 Posted 6 June 2015 From 2016/2017, all clubs in the top four steps will be have to be granted a license to operate. This is to stop clubs financially dropping out of the league etc.
BoyJones Posted 6 June 2015 Posted 6 June 2015 Tranmere have always punched above their weight, very small place and opposite two premier giants. Hope they do well next season.
MC Prussian Posted 9 June 2015 Author Posted 9 June 2015 Grimsby Town have been given a transfer funds boost by the help of a fans' initiative that originally aimed at collecting £20'000. They have now surpassed the £40'000 mark and are still going strong. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/33065314
Wymsey Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 Imagine if we did that. We'd be around a few hundred grand up in a space of a few hours.

Should be renamed League three with the amount of big football league teams that have ended up at that level. I still can't see why they can't allow more than two teams to come up.
isaidno Posted 16 August 2015 Posted 16 August 2015 Went to watch Eastleigh vs Lincoln yesterday. Finished 1-1. Decent game for non league. Lincoln look a lot stronger than last season. Eastleigh's ground is a dive. 2 temporary terraces , a temporary stand behind the goal and a tiny stand behind the dug out .

LJS Posted 16 August 2015 Posted 16 August 2015 Went to Hinckley vs Walsall Wood in the FA Cup yesterday. Good game, no goals though. Me and my dad have been a few times now and always enjoy it. We're becoming members and I'll be there for every home game which doesn't clash with a City one. Cracking little fan owned club.
Grandad. Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 Solihull winning 2-0 at HT! Up the Moors. And keep your eyes out this season for the name of Omar Bogle, he was at Solihull last season and is an absolute baller, playing at Grimsby this season and has scored 3 in 4 so far this season. I know a lot of League clubs were looking at him and when I seen Steve Beaglehole at Burton v Shrewsbury last season he said Leicester were watching him for a while, but just didn't have that class they were looking for. He's only 23!
isaidno Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 Lincoln were 2-0 down after 6 minutes against Macclesfield and won 5-3. Big test on Saturday, Forest Green away
Leeds Fox Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 Should be renamed League three with the amount of big football league teams that have ended up at that level. I still can't see why they can't allow more than two teams to come up. What would it achieve? Taking more League 2 teams into Non League. Throwing more clubs into the financial abyss. The 3rd place team may not deserve to come up anymore than the 3rd bottom team deserve to go down. It's 2 for a reason, otherwise if it was more, clubs would be going bust and struggling to constantly adjust from part time to full time every year.

To be honest there needs to be more help for the clubs in the lower leagues, they need to up the prize money for promotion from the conference to league two. To be honest currently in the conference, a lot of clubs that have been promoted to the conference have been forced to go full time already with the amount of big names football league teams already down there. The gap between the conference and league two isn't that big. Biggest gap these days are teams coming up from the conference north/south going into the conference.
Leicesterpool Posted 27 August 2015 Posted 27 August 2015 Just a little thing to mention, Leicester's very own Riyad Mahrez was a guest down at the Boro today. He was actually at the training ground apparently.
isaidno Posted 7 September 2015 Posted 7 September 2015 Forest Green won every match so far , but not played anyone decent yet. Had 3 newly promoted teams plus welling and Altrincham. Went to Lincoln vs Wrexham on Saturday, finished 1-1. Think Lincoln will finish mid table again.
isaidno Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Boreham wood fans are absolute scum. Charged at Lincoln fans after the match yesterday. Beat and kicked the crap out of people, throwing bottles and bins. Only came to cause trouble
Leicesterpool Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 I believe there was 38 ties in the fa cup first qualifying round yesterday, and I believe only one of that 38 seen a win! the rest were all draws!
purpleronnie Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 I believe there was 38 ties in the fa cup first qualifying round yesterday, and I believe only one of that 38 seen a win! the rest were all draws! Did someone tell you that? I mean honestly how likely is that?
filbertway Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Hahahaha. Such an easy thing to check as well. Coalville got a good 2 0 away win against Stratford who are a level higher in the Southern League prem. Unbelievable to think we could potentially draw Stockport.

I didn't see the Coalville score they only mentioned 38 on fa site. http://www.thefa.com/competitions/results
filbertway Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 That must be the ties that will be replayed. I think there must have been over 100 games played at the weekend.
Grandad. Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Solihull at home to Oadby in the second qualifying round! Disappointing draw on Saturday away to Bradford PA, Bradford went 1-0 up after 5 minutes, down to 10 me in the 10th minute and took Solihull until the 82nd minute to equalise. The manager had made all three changes at HT. Fingers crossed it was just a blip and the Moors can go and beat Curzon on Saturday, I'll be back watching. Still unbeaten and 4 points clear!
filbertway Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Can't see Solihull making the same mistake they did against Coalville a couple of years back by weakening their team too much. Should be them into the 3rd qualifying round. We've got a pretty uninspiring home tie against Spalding who are in the same league as us. Hopefully we can get past them and be 2 games from a possible FA Cup first round tie again.
