Guest Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 apparently we are the 42nd richest football brand in Europe. That's much bigger than Forest. http://www.leicester.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=402483 Above Borussia Monchengladbach, Eindhoven, Lazio... only 1m behind Benfica and hamburg
chicagofox Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 Comparing us to Forest now just demeans us. Let's stop that.
Matty Hamez Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 but in perspective 17th in the uk 17th in England. Celtic are also bigger

How is our 'brand' calculated as being worth £62m... whilst Hamburg is £61m. Who decides this?
Wilson_6 Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 But what does it all mean?? How is our 'brand' calculated as being worth £62m... whilst Hamburg is £61m. Who decides this? I don't get it either tbh.
gerrytaggart Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 Its been decided and you will just have to accept that.
Fox Ulike Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 Its been decided and you will just have to accept that. It's good but it's not right. I've just wasted valuable seconds of my remaining life to discover that it is: "What the owner would have to pay for the use of the brand if it wasn't already owned"!! £62m. Reminds me a bit like the "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" thing..." What's the meaning of life? 42. Whats the brand worth? 62. How many roads must a man walk down? 12.
Stadt Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 It's not the specific clubs really, it's just that we're/they're premier league clubs, it doesn't matter if it's us, Middlesborough or Mansfield - premier league clubs will be on that list due to the TV rights
thybluefox Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 A brand is only worth something if people know about. The more people aware of the brand, and interact with it in some way, the more its worth. Therefore, as stated above, any club in the Premier League will be a massive brand purely because of the amount of exposure they get.
MPH Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 But what does it all mean?? How is our 'brand' calculated as being worth £62m... whilst Hamburg is £61m. Who decides this? Half of that is spent on Top's helicopter and keeping that going...
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 It's totally meaningless, once put into context.
Guest Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 It's totally meaningless, once put into context. It just shows we are MASSIVE!
StanSP Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 Minutes applause in the 42nd minute on first game of the season?
Weller in Tights Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 It's good but it's not right. LCFC = 42 = The Meaning of Life Damn it, you beat me to the Hitch-hikers Guide reference.
Itsblueuptnorth Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 I'm sorry but Stoke more marketable than us? Who makes up this bullshit?
Freesolo Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 The stat means nothing, unfortunately we are always going to be known as a Yo Yo club. We are not rich enough to buy our way to trophies and titles
shailen Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 Shows how much money is in the premier league. How we are richer than Sevilla, who have a fantastic European record recently, demonstrates this point. We have only been back in this league one season as well
MC Prussian Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 The stat means nothing, unfortunately we are always going to be known as a Yo Yo club. We are not rich enough to buy our way to trophies and titles Like whom, I might ask?
MC Prussian Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 Chelsea, Man Citeh You still need to beat what's in front of you, regardless of much money you throw around each season. Chelsea hadn't won the title for roughly five years and it's "only" their fourth PL title since the league's inception. Just look at Manchester United last season. And even Manchester City's first PL title three years ago was down to a last-grasp winner. In 2013/2014, they won by just two points ahead of Liverpool. Although I do agree it's highly unlikely we'll ever see a team win the title without spending big or a newly-promoted club finishing first at the very end (à la Kaiserslautern in Germany, for example).
