BigMicky Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 I'll have a wager with you that Hopper plays at a higher level than the 4th Division He could well be facing us next season never mind the 4th division Wether he deserves to is another question all together Be prepared to be very surprised then Who in the Prem would want Tom Hopper??
LCCFox96 Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 Handled well and in a professional manner. The correct, and indeed only tenable decision the club could have made was to sack them. Good riddance. We don't need players like that dragging down the clubs reputation. Hopefully that's the last we'll here on the matter and of messrs Hopper, Smith and Pearson.
Dan Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 Durham's completely anti-Leicester anyway, and someone who's made a living through talking out of his arse. I'm not really bothered what he's got to say.
Nod.E Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 Imagine being one of them.No football club will touch you.No girls will go near you.You have no skills away from football.Their lives are going to take a LOT of rebuilding. No sympathy here, though. They were stupid and now they're being punished.

Hopper won't have no problem getting a new club, Smith will probably end up getting in League 2 club, Pearson will struggle with anything above Confrence prem level. Girls won't be bothered about what they've done previously all they'll be bothered about is having a WAG lifestyle having the nice shoes, handbags etc. Look at what wives and girlfriends have previously put up with, Adam Johnsons Mrs staying with him whilst he's been accused of underage sex, Wayne Rooney sleeping with oap hookers, Ched Evans being found guilty of rape, Ryan Giggs having an affair with his brothers wife.
Nod.E Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 Wrong, wrong, and unknown. League 2 at best. They'll have reduced their chances! Doubtful.
Danno Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 Tom Hopper playing in the premiership If they're in their twenties and haven't made a single appearance yet then chances are they're probably pretty shite.

MooseBreath Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 Just like Vardy.... didnt make a professional appearance till he was 26! If Vardy had continued training at a top club Ireckon he would have had more of a look in by the age of 21/22 than those three did. There's still hope for the Bangkok 3 but statistically players who fail to show any real first team promise by 22 rarely go on to have particularly distinguished careers.

I think it would be a fair comment to make that we havnt really been able to blood any youngsters in last season. It just would of been the wrong time... there was too much as stake... This year we are kicking on to a higher level too, so I don't know what will happen.... I'd like at least chillwell to be added to the first team squad this year...
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 While it is the right decision from the club I find it staggering at the vitriol against the 3 invoved. We have all done massively stupid things while pissed as youngsters surely? Maybe not the same as what they did but stupid never the less. I hope they all learn from it and move on with their lives and get a club to take a chance on them. No one has been victorious in this. Just 3 young men who have acted like arseholes losing their job.
Rob1742 Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 What I have taken from this more than anything is how much people love to see others fail. Absolutely no thought on here for the individuals and their situations, just raw feelings of sacking them and wanting them to fall over. If I threw people away the moment that people made mistakes, I am pretty sure I wouldn't know anyone. You carry on having with your "get rid" mentality. I will continue to feel quite sad, knowing that one of these lads is a thoroughly decent individual who has made a massive mistake. I for one hope they all learn from it and more than that, I really really hope they come through it and make a living for themselves in the profession that they have been working in.

I will leave that to the boy's in the video, they seem good at it ....

But how would they have learnt from it if they hadn't suffered the correct consequences? They embarrassed the club, the owners and behaved in a disgusting manner, if they hadn't been sacked they would see themselves as "untouchable". The way you learn is after making a mistake you deal with it, you apologise, you accept the consequences resolve to not make the same mistake again and move on trying to make the best out of the situation you find yourself in. The consequence of publicly embarrassing your employer, damaging their reputation is losing your job. I hope for their sake they get their heads down, keep their noses clean, find a club in the lower leagues, work hard and don't let one stupid mistake ruin their lives as well as their Leicester career.

There is thoughts on here for the individuals and their situations. I do feel sorry for them; they made a mistake, but you have to pay for your mistakes (and, hopefully, learn from them). I am absolutely sure that they regret it and that this is genuine, but that does not excuse the act in the first place. I am glad that there is contrition on their part and I do wish that it didn't have to be the case that they are being sacked, but it doesn't work like that and nor should it (the club have made the correct decision). I wish them the best and I hope that they learn from this and I hope that they go on to be successful footballers and, more importantly, better human beings. Pity you have no empathy for the poverty stricken women these over privileged "boys" exploited and belittled...they have had a golden chance in life, given to very few and have blown it... no gloating here.... davieG Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 They need to go abroad to some country that has shown little or no interest in this and rebuild their reputations with loyalty and community action.

They need to go abroad to some country that has shown little or no interest in this and rebuild their reputations with loyalty and community action. North Korea?
Dan Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 League 2 at best. They'll have reduced their chances! Doubtful. That's already a backtrack then. If Hopper was rated by the coaching staff here then I'm pretty sure a League One/Two club will take a look at him, rightly or wrongly. I bet you he's playing again by Christmas. Again, I doubt that. With some maybe, but a lot won't even be bothered or know about this. Who knows.

I for one hope they all learn from it and more than that, I really really hope they come through it and make a living for themselves in the profession that they have been working in. I have no sympathy for them whatsoever. They were, and still are, in an incredibly privileged position and chose of their own free will to abuse that privilege in a quite sickening way. I appreciate you obviously know and care about one of them, I wonder how you'd feel if you knew and cared about one of the victims? How would you feel if it was your daughter being abused in such a way? The lads can consider themselves lucky. They broke laws, it could have been much worse for them. They'll still have reasonably lucrative careers in football and even if not, they're still perfectly capable of earning a living like the rest of us. Doubt they'll ever end up working as prostitutes being abused by customers, that would be proper justice.

Yes there is a chance things could work out eventually but things a lot less rosey now than before it all happened. Premier League to lower divisions with some girls avoiding you is still a massive life change and that's the best case scenario, so in terms of their outlook in life there is so much less potential than previously which can't be easy to take.
Blanesta Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 That was a sarcasm, just incase you thought I actually meant that.
