Strokes Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 I'm so proud of the club! I wonder how much say Nige had in the decision.Almost none would be my guess.
An Away Move Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Excellent decision. I hope all those 'fans' of ours who defended them saying things like, 'lads will be lads' and 'their only offence was being stupid enough to film it', etc., realise that they were on the wrong side of the argument. Such behaviour should not be condoned in any way. End of.
Rincewind Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Probably the right decision.Although they may have been released anyway They have been stupid but as someone said they are adults abeit young ones I do hope they recover and learn from this without it having too huge an impact on their future They have been punished and do not deserve to carry the sentence for the rest of their lives. It is done so just let the club and the ex-players move on because all they are now are former youth team players. Let the club and the fans just support the players that are here now and not concern ourselves with ex-players. I am sure Nigel Pearson is professional enough to seperate club affairs from family matters. I would imagine he had already told Pearson to expect to be released. He'd have some contacts at other clubs who might take him on but once he vetted his anger would move on.Does James still live at home? I thought he was loaned out so may have got a place of his own where he wasl
TheLittleBigMan Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 That was the only decision possible. Still think clubs need to take a long hard look at the consequences of taking the youngsters out of normality and placing them in the wealthy and privileged environments that football has become. Even in the reserves these kids are disconnected both socially and financially from the rest of us. Proper schooling at every level is needed, it's not just the step overs that make a man. Up the foxes.
AyewJoking Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 Yeah because all they did was turn a blind eye to racism and perform sex acts on sex workers on video for the entire world to see, they were obviously still doing a good job of representing Leicester City football club.

C-man Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 Pearson was a dreadful dreadful footballer full stop . You must have seen him a lot to make a comment like that with such authority. Unless you are on about NP in which case you are just plain wrong.
David Hankey Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 Good riddance to all 3, no good to football nor Leicester City. These idiots cannot be defended, bye!!
foxfanazer Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 Correct decision and proves further that these owners know what they're doing. They continue to impress me Think Danny Simpson will be next?Hope so
Steven Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 Jason Roberts and the PFA suspiciously quiet over this one. "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others".
J.Lisemore Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 Unbelievable that James Pearson has clearly been on a lucky road anyway, with daddy giving him a job in the first place. But to fvck things up so drastically, takes some doing
Domsdad Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 Absolutely the right decision. Anyone know how it's been reported in Thailand?
Guest Col city fan Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 Handled brilliantly by the club. Right outcome, didn't rush into anything, think we'll have earned some kudos. Doubt it'll end the careers of the three involved but they'll need to prove their worth and act professionally in the future to earn their crust again On a side note I heard the news just now on TalkShite and they said they respected the club for taking action but seemed to spend more time speculating about what would have happened if it was Vardy Schmeichel etc involved and came to the conclusion that we wouldn't have fired valuable first-teamers and almost seemed to slag us off for being hypocritical over something that hasn't and wouldn't happen. WTF. That didn't happen, don't worry about it. Hasn't this forum had exactly the same discussion. Bit hypocritical there?
Captain... Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 There was no other option. The question is would they have been sacked if this leaked but there was no racist content? I.e. that one comment has cost them. It wasn't just that comment, the whole thing was disrespectful to the women Thai or otherwise and showed all three of them up for having zero respect for these women. It wasn't about sex it was about exerting their power and control over these women taking the piss out of them in a language they don't understand and in the context of it being in Thailand the country of the owners who had invited these idiots over add to that the fact they filmed and voluntarily sent it out to their friends where it got leaked and embarrassed the club is enough. If they had been in Magaluf on a holiday and had been secretly filmed having an orgy with some English women they picked up on a night out then it would be different, but filming it yourself and sending it to someone is grounds for sacking on monumental stupidity. Getting caught fvcking around like this on a club tour is probably grounds for sacking. Getting caught using prostitutes (regardless of the situation) is probably grounds for sacking. Getting caught verbally abusing women is probably grounds for sacking. Getting caught disrespecting women from our owners homeland is probably grounds for sacking. Just because one of them made it even more offensive by being racist, doesn't make the other offenses any lesser. There is enough grounds for sacking them 3 or 4 times without the racist comment, they have embarrassed the club and the owners and that is a really dumb thing to do when you are as expendable as these three are.

Captain... Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 Hasn't this forum had exactly the same discussion. Bit hypocritical there? A bit different when a 'credible' news source starts speculating about it and concludes that we wouldn't have sacked a first team player and then criticising the club for not doing something we haven't done because they have decided we wouldn't do it based on their own hypothetical discussion and low moral values.

If they'd been talking about another club nobody on here would care, a lot would agree. There does seem to be a ridiculous hypersensitivity on here when anyone says anything negative about our club.

artursteppe Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 I have read a few posts on here, and got really fed up with the 'holier than thou' judgemental attitude of so many. It reminds me of all those who slow down to study road accidents, people who watch 'soap operas', and those who have nothing better to do than 'pick over the bones' of a sad situation because somehow it makes them feel good that they are 'better'. Go throw your stones somewhere else!
ozleicester Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 Appalling behavious by the players Right decision by the club Well handled by the club Hopefully the young men involved actually learn something from this and go on to be decent useful human beings.

There does seem to be a ridiculous hypersensitivity on here when anyone says anything negative about our club. If they actually criticised the club for having double standards, with no proof and based on no facts then it is just ridiculous, if it was pure speculation on whether we would have acted the same with first team players, then there is no issue, but going on the original post they actually criticised the club for something they haven't done. If it was said about any other club I would think it was just as ridiculous. It just seems symptomatic of the modern approach to media, say something ridiculous to get a response. I didn't hear it myself so won't comment any further as I don't know exactly what was said.
The Guvnor Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 Correct decision in my opinion. I do not condone this behaviour but I cannot believe that Nige didn't have had a quiet word in his son's ear before they left for Thailand, either way what a massive betrayal and lack of respect for his father, unbelievable!
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 Hasn't this forum had exactly the same discussion. Bit hypocritical there? Yes, but if you'd have heard the discussion they had and how they spent more time speculating than discussing what actually happened then you'd know what I mean. It seemed like an attack on the club for not firing players who hadn't done anything wrong
