foxfanazer Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 I have read a few posts on here, and got really fed up with the 'holier than thou' judgemental attitude of so many. It reminds me of all those who slow down to study road accidents, people who watch 'soap operas', and those who have nothing better to do than 'pick over the bones' of a sad situation because somehow it makes them feel good that they are 'better'. Go throw your stones somewhere else! I don't understand what point you're trying to make here. Of course people are going to have an opinion when it involves our club. Not about being "holier than thou'
Mjeb Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 I feel for Nigel , he must be gutted his son has let him, himself and the whole club Down . With Nigel having a serious conflict of interest . The correct decision was made - Pearson junior must living on the garage now !! UP THE CITY
little Brian Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 that will teach them not to act like pissed up morons ,
ozvaldo Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 I wonder if they'll get any offers to play at a decent level elsewhere, or if they'll have to get a non-football job... Either way, as long as Barry Hayles re-signs for us on a 4-year deal, I'll be over the moon. Eat sh!t, Tom. Best wishes, Ozvaldo.
Guest Col city fan Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 Yes, but if you'd have heard the discussion they had and how they spent more time speculating than discussing what actually happened then you'd know what I mean. It seemed like an attack on the club for not firing players who hadn't done anything wrong Don't agree mate. I heard it too. It was praising the club then asking the question. And why not? Some on here have. If it was about (add club here) you probably wouldn't have batted an eyelid. Don't be so precious.
Ozwin Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 Still can't get over how stupid they were. Like it's on a whole other level.
stox259 Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 I can imagine the scene, LCFC Staff member 'So Tom you want me to keep you at the club despite the recent events?' Tom Hopper 'Yes please sir. I have learnt the hard way on this and i'm very sorry for my actions. It won't happen again and I will make sure I am an asset to this club'. LCFC Staff member 'Hmmm, you know what Tom?' Tom Hopper 'Yes sir?' LCFC Staff member 'KISS MY ARSE! *Rolls around floor laughing as Tom walks out to non league football obscurity.

I reckon Hopper will end up having a solid career in the 4th division. It depends of course if there's a Ched Evans-style twitter storm if someone buys him but I very much doubt it. Smith could play non-league. Pearson is screwed. Doesn't seem all that bright either.
RonnieTodger Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 The right decision, even for Pearson and Smith. It's just bringing forward the inevitable, so it's not even harsh. They may have been given an extra year eventually, but they weren't going to feature for us unless they took a spot on the bench due to a lot of injures.

Go throw your stones somewhere else! Hmmm. I think I can take a 'holier than thou' attitude. I did silly things when I was young but I have never had an orgy with a group of Thai hookers, videoed it, racially abused them, and then sent the video to my mates back home! Holier than them: I am Jon the **cking Baptist in comparison. I don't watch soap operas, and nor do I take joy in this situation (I have not seen the tape and nor do I want to), but am I better behaved than these guys and do I think that it is right for the club to sack them? Yes, absolutely.

MooseBreath Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 Isn't "Artursteppe" the guy who got outed in the main thread for also posting on white supremacist forums?

MooseBreath Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 Is 'Swan Lesta' the People's Hero? Not unless TPH has created a masterful troll. Swan Lesta is Nick aka Nasty Nick who along with daggers used to run this place back in 2012. Picture them as heavily armed bandits in post-apocalyptic thrillers, drunk on power and always up to no good. His Swan Lesta incarnation is relatively mild and harmless.
Thracian Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 100% with the club. The decision was the club's only credible option given the stupidity and irresponsibility of what went on. I'd be mildly surprised if any of the youngsters involved are heard of again in any serious football capacity.

I'll have a wager with you that Hopper plays at a higher level than the 4th Division He could well be facing us next season never mind the 4th division Wether he deserves to is another question all together 100% with the club. Neil_LCFC Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 If it was Ulloa Kramaric and Kasper they wouldn't have had their contracts terminated. Rightly or wrongly morals only matter in football if it suits.
