Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Handled brilliantly by the club. Right outcome, didn't rush into anything, think we'll have earned some kudos. Doubt it'll end the careers of the three involved but they'll need to prove their worth and act professionally in the future to earn their crust again On a side note I heard the news just now on TalkShite and they said they respected the club for taking action but seemed to spend more time speculating about what would have happened if it was Vardy Schmeichel etc involved and came to the conclusion that we wouldn't have fired valuable first-teamers and almost seemed to slag us off for being hypocritical over something that hasn't and wouldn't happen. WTF. That didn't happen, don't worry about it.
Spudulike Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Surprised that we are yet to hear the defence from Gordon Taylor of the PFA.
Wymsey Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Surprised that we are yet to hear the defence from Gordon Taylor of the PFA. Why are you? What's it to do with him? The club has sorted it out on their own, professionally.
johnny the fox Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Surprised that we are yet to hear the defence from Gordon Taylor of the PFA. The man puts me to sleep after two syllables...
Spudulike Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Why are you? What's it to do with him? The club has sorted it out on their own, professionally. Have you forgotten the Dennis Wise (apologies for the language) saga ?? More recently Ched Evans ?? (not that I'm suggesting a connection between those cases other than trying to defend the indefensible).
midland_red Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Absolutely the right decision and I think the club handled the situation superbly. We stand now as an example to other clubs and indeed to football in general.
jock2612 Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 100% right and well done to the club for dealing with a difficult situation so professionally. It had the extra dimension of one of the lads being the son of the manager but it was done in a very measured way. The players are young men who behaved in an appalling way.I trust they have learned their lesson, but i hope that in the future they will be allowed to play professional football.I hope most people believe in being given a second chance and by all accounts they are talented young men.
adam1 Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 There was no other option. The question is would they have been sacked if this leaked but there was no racist content? I.e. that one comment has cost them.
Corky Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 On a side note I heard the news just now on TalkShite and they said they respected the club for taking action but seemed to spend more time speculating about what would have happened if it was Vardy Schmeichel etc involved and came to the conclusion that we wouldn't have fired valuable first-teamers and almost seemed to slag us off for being hypocritical over something that hasn't and wouldn't happen. WTF. That didn't happen, don't worry about it. Exactly, we can speculate as to what might happen if others were involved but they weren't, this was a real case and we've done the correct thing.
filbertway Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Do people actually think James Pearson still lives with his dad, having been on a professional footballers wages?
foxoffderby Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Tough for NP but the right choice. The club needs to move on. And for once on FT every agrees the right choice has been made. Hopefully the the whole squad understands and we all move on.

WTF. That didn't happen, don't worry about it. This is why I think we need to sack Simpson too, ok he is not Vardy, Cambiasso etc but he is amber of our first team squad and sacking him tells the doubters we do not tolerate poor behaviour at our club. I for one would be calling for the sacking of any LCFC player regardless of value if they engaged in any sort of violent, racist, misogynistic behaviour.
foxoffderby Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Must be the first thread ever were everybody agrees with the outcome
Albert Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 The club were left with few options after the media storm I guess, it's a shame they haven't had the chance to redeem themselves but then they probably lacked the talent too in any case. Smith could have been the new Conrad Logan, you never know. Smith was highly rated and has all the attributes to become a really decent GK so no doubt he'll get picked up by another club once the dust settles.
sylofox Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Harsh on the non racist ones Harsh on the non racist ones Why who said thats out of order, thats so wrong. They all deserve what they have got. I personally hope none of them grace a football field again. They were given a gift and abused it I would give my right bollok to have the chance they have but they fvcked up.

sylofox Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 You don't believe in second chances then? Not on that scale NO. The only person I feel sorry for is Nige. His own son has shown him up at the highest level. They have all so disrespected our club fvck em everyone of them is a waste of breath.
masterg59 Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Just the best outcome, imo, thought this had been swept under the carpet. next !!
ramadaone Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Top work. I'm sure it's just a coincidence that they're all crap. Hopper is most definitely not crap - extremely stupid certainly but not crap If he can put this behind him he will be a Championship player in time Understand he has trials sorted at some interesting teams Not defending his actions by the way
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Must be the first thread ever were everybody agrees with the outcome I wouldn't say I agree, I just don't care.
Strokes Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Not on that scale NO. The only person I feel sorry for is Nige. His own son has shown him up at the highest level. They have all so disrespected our club fvck em everyone of them is a waste of breath. They have been rightly sacked as they have bought shame on the club but that's the right punishment. I don't wish any further misfortune on them. Hopefully they can reflect and reform and won't ever be as stupid again. I'm sure they will be a lot wiser in their friend choices in the future. As for Nigel, I'm sure he will forgive his son pretty quickly. That's what dads do.
Wymsey Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Can't imagine Nigel 'bending over backwards' to help his son get a good career; he's helped, but James has made a right mess of the opportunity.
FoxKing10 Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Pearson was a dreadful dreadful footballer full stop . Pearson was a dreadful dreadful footballer full stop . He might of been shit I agree, but he was better than his son though.
Clever Fox Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Correct decision by the Club but you have to feel sorry for Pearson. He;s been badly let down by his own Son. I also can't believe that all players are not lectured about their behaviour and what's expected of them when they travel abroad.
My Nads Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 I'm so proud of the club! I wonder how much say Nige had in the decision.
