The conversation turned to football and I told him that I was a Leicester fan and he had some pretty positive words to say about us and I brought up the subject of the new manager. The conversation went a bit like this: Him: Neil Lennon has said he's interested. Me: Has he, he has history with us but I'm not sure he is quite the right fit at the moment. There is some talk of Hiddink. Him: Oh yeah, he'd be good. Me: Yeah, Claudia Ranieri is supposed to be interested too. Him: Oh right, he'd be good too. Me: Yeah, then there's Jurgen Klopp Him: Ahem, [smiling] with all due respect, I'm not sure about that. [conversation ends]

It's clearly a light hearted way of passing the dull summer and filling time til we actually get linked to someone sensible. Christ above some people are sensitive. This

I wouldn't move on from the manner of his dismissal but I would move on in terms of being satisfied with our new manager. B. Yes, it's one of the few obvious scenarios where they would redeem their decision to remove Nigel. C. I don't think we are as it is, this would make me even more sure. But of course we know it's all moot fantasy drivel at the end of the day.

If people want to speculate then they should be able to without being attacked or belittled. Whether the probability of Klopp coming is 0.5% or 95% it is still a possibility - in fact probably as realistic as Lennon given the owners are clearly looking for a low risk high profile name and given if any conversations had taken place it would have made press by now and probably already happened. I therefore choose not to go on the Lennon thread as I can't see it happening but don't go on there attacking people who think it might as they are welcome to do so. if people are embarrassed that fans of other sites will take the piss out of us, then they need to broaden their shoulders and ignore what other people think. in fact by coming on this thread making such comments they are extending the thread directly by one post and indirectly by many more as people debate with them and back up the perfectly reasonable assumption that it is a realistic possibility however small and worthy of discussion. Hence they defeat their own object.
