Danizen Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 If people thought we were attacking at the end of last season, they haven't seen nothing yet. I hope he comes!
Stadt Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 i've changed my avi so i can confirm its possible this deal could potentially happen if we agree terms with him and he takes charge as first team manager
benpicko Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 Why is this going up at 10.30pm What do they know.. It'll be announced tomorrow morning and although he is currently putting some players through pre-season, he's doing it in Austria, and they're our players, confirmed!
EarlBeaumont Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 If people thought we were attacking at the end of last season, they haven't seen nothing yet. I hope he comes! Don't hold your breath, it won't happen !
enmac Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 16/1 with sky bet. Odds on tomorrow. Sent from my BNTV600 using Tapatalk
BMR Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 Would be a good appointment i reckon, ideal tactics and formation for our team, this is the most excited i been by the 1001 suspects being touted
inckley fox Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 I must be missing something with this guy. International manager, did alright at Bilbao, rubbish at Marseille, has some interesting but not especially successful tactical ideas, is quite old and knows nothing about English football. That might well be a horribly erroneous assessment, please let me know if it is!
Nick Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 This is great news. 10 minutes ago people were actually contemplating settling for a retired goalkeeper with no management experience.
escos Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 If true that the club scrapped an announcement about MON, then surely we must know he is interested? Right?

International manager, did alright at Bilbao, rubbish at Marseille, has some interesting but not especially successful tactical ideas, is quite old and knows nothing about English football. That might well be a horribly erroneous assessment, please let me know if it is! He has been brilliant at Marseille ! The fans are desperatly in love with him and hope he'll stay (and he will). Best first half season of the club in decades, a bit harder in the second half but Lyon, Paris SG and Monaco were just too strong, as he didn't have such a good pool of players (no bench at all).
Liamlcfc1 Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 This could be the reason the helicopter was so busy Saturday around London
Hack Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 Why is this going up at 10.30pm What do they know.. It is the morning edition. Papers stories are written normally the day before the morning edition, you don't imaging Journo's work in the early hours of the morning. But if there is anything in this at all, would mean we are not about to announce a manager on Monday or even Tuesday. We could have another week of this.
inckley fox Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 He has been brilliant at Marseille ! The fans are desperatly in love with him and hope he'll stay (and he will). Oh, okay. Thanks!
EarlBeaumont Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 Oh, okay. Thanks! They especially love him for his attacking pholosophy (pretty rare in L1). He played in 3-3-3-1
FireFox Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 Played a lot of 4-2-3-1 last season But also often some 3-4-3 type formations. If he gets on well with Cambiasso, and Kante is more willing to sign for us, then why not? Is MON or anyone else really a better option? Offer him crazy money and money to spend, and it is a chance for him to prove himself in England which he seems to want.
TheLittleBigMan Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 I think a little bit of pee came out. It's a yes from me.
ballsooo Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 I'd love this to happen, which almost certainly means it won't!
inckley fox Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 They especially love him for his attacking pholosophy (pretty rare in L1). He played in 3-3-3-1 Thanks again. I'm still not sure his credentials for the job are as good as those of Ranieri or O'Neill, at least not on paper, but if he's the 'right fit' - as some of you seem to be saying - then there might well be a very good case for him.
My Nads Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 seriously though why would he leave marseille It's more to do with the ridiculous tax rate in France. For a player to earn the same amount as in most other countries they would have to pay them almost twice as much. It must be difficult to attract any top players. PSG have a rich owner, so they are willing to pay over the odds and Monaco is tax free. but the rest must struggle.
FireFox Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 A quick Google of Cambiasso and Marcelo: http://www.espnfc.com/story/312851/pekerman-starts-where-bielsa-left-off "Pekerman, said to give his players more freedom than Bielsa, wisely opted against making wholesale changes but he did start with three players who were rarely given a look in by Bielsa - midfielders Esteban Cambiasso and Juan Roman Riquelme and forward Javier Saviola." http://news.coral.co.uk/football/premier-league/pro-and-cons-of-five-coaches-to-take-over-from-pearson-at-leicester_84344.html "Cambiasso’s old Argentina boss Bielsa reportedly got down to the final two in the race to succeed Allardyce at West Ham. ‘El Loco’ lost out to former Hammers defender Slaven Bilic, however, but still looks set to become of the exodus from Marseille. Pearson got plenty of joy playing with three central defenders and wing backs; these are similar tactics to how Bielsa has set up his recent teams. Compatriot Leonardo Ulloa would be the perfect centre forward to spearhead the awesomely attacking and unorthodox 3-3-3-1 set-up employed by this fiery coach, who would expect to be backed by the Foxes owners and is 20/1 to take charge."
EarlBeaumont Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 Thanks again. The funy thing being that in France, most of the fans and media will tell you that Bielsa is better than Ranieri, this being mainly due to the fact that Ranieri's Monaco (with Falcao and Rodriguez) was pretty boring to watch (but efficient nonetheless) It's more to do with the ridiculous tax rate in France. For a player to earn the same amount as in most other countries they would have to pay them almost twice as much. It must be difficult to attract any top players. PSG have a rich owner, so they are willing to pay over the odds and Monaco is tax free. but the rest must struggle. True, that is why player like Gradel would rather play in Bournmouth than in Saint-Etienne (my team in France) in Europe League. But yeah, it is another culture
