fridoux Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 best coach ever ! if its true it will be a dream. he doesnt like to coach big teams to win titles.instead, he's always interested in turning small projects into a success story.
My Nads Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/next-leicester-manager-foxes-shock-6054772 Any truth in this? Or is it just the mirror being turds again?! They just think of something and then print it. I suppose sooner or later they might guess something that's true though.
Aleksz Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 I would wet myself if this happened. Would be a dream, most likely to get cambiasso on board too. Negatives though, i presume the bloke doesn't speak a word of english and he currently has 4 Argentinian assistants with him at Marseille... Bye bye Shakey, Walsh and Kev.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 why the animosity buddyI took your comment as a joke and I was joking in return

Do his assistants speak English? Or French? At the very least Ulloa and Cambiasso could translate, maybe Mahrez too. Only Di Matteo and Gourvennec had me excited. But getting this guy would give me a wet dream.
Mickyblueeyes Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 The first name to actually make me sit up. This guy has the record, the charisma, the tactical know-how and draw to take us to the next level. If and it is a massive if, we would be privelaged to have a manager of this magnitude.
Stadt Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 Do his assistants speak English? Or French? At the very least Ulloa and Cambiasso could translate, maybe Mahrez too. "french words bláh bláh bláh, riyad vouz translatez si vous plait" "oui, yes, david **** off, wes you are shit"
Wizerud Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 Did Cambiasso turn down West Ham when he realized this fella wasn't getting the job? Which could mean...

All he needs to learn is just one word, which he can yell out from the touch line all game: "ATTACK!"

Didn't somebody just say he didn't like Cambiasso?
BigC Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 Would be over the moon with this appointment. His recent jobs at Bilbao and Marseille have had a similar trend, fantastic first half's to the season however form drops in the latter half. Led Ligue 1 before dropping to 4th. His philosophy is fast paced, attacking and high pressing. High intensity training sessions .
Aleksz Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 Didn't somebody just say he didn't like Cambiasso? Thought that was Ranieri personally
FireFox Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 Didn't somebody just say he didn't like Cambiasso? This is all I found, quickly Google searching for English-only results http://www.espnfc.com/story/312851/pekerman-starts-where-bielsa-left-off "Pekerman, said to give his players more freedom than Bielsa, wisely opted against making wholesale changes but he did start with three players who were rarely given a look in by Bielsa - midfielders Esteban Cambiasso and Juan Roman Riquelme and forward Javier Saviola." So his successor favoured Cambiasso more, but this also was 10 years ago, and "Pekerman felt Cambiasso had benefited by leaving Real Madrid where he struggled to get a game and joining Inter Milan." (Pekerman also was the U21 coach before when Cambiasso was playing in the U21 side, so he also probably just had a better relationship with Cambiasso and felt more comfortable playing him.)
foxoffderby Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 He likes to play 3 at the back according to Wikki. Bielsa's signature formation in his squads, which he made famous and brought to the front of the world's mainstream football scene during his coaching tenures in the Argentina national football team, Chile national football team, Athletic Bilbao and Olympique de Marseille, is the 3-3-3-1 formation. For this formation, the players are: 3 defenders (1 líbero with 2 stoppers at each side), 3 midfielders (1 central midfielder with 2 lateral-volantes at each side), 3 attacking midfielders (1 enganche and 2 wingers at each side), and 1 centerforward. 3-3-3-1 allows great transitions from defending to attacking, as many of the players used in the formation can perform both defensive and attacking tasks. Moreover, it establishes superiority in numbers in every part of the field, since with this formation his teams could defend with 7 players, attack with 6-7 players, orPROTECT a scoreline by overwhelming the midfield with 6 players. To use 3-3-3-1, all players have to quickly set to attacking positions when the ball is in the team's possession, and all players have to aggresively press and recover the ball when it isn't in possession, so it requires great teamwork and understanding between teammates. Foxhateram Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Wooh a manager who can't even speak the language of half the players in the team. Post match interviews will be great, within a week he will probably be goarded as arrogant for not talking to the media. Me er no speak a angletaire.

Mans a football genius. You just sound like a tool.
Donut Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 You can learn a language, it can be done you know. He has already expressed an interest to come to England for one, so he is probably very keen to become familiar in English language and culture. And he has the football CV to back the hype up. His matrix formation is quite radical and requires exceptional levels of fitness though
Foxhateram Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Do you actually watch football? Mans a football genius. You just sound like a tool. Actually I watch football, coach football and partake In a bit of playing football. Not sure what relevance this has to the debate though. I don't see how someone who doesn't speak a word of English can coach a squad of players who's main form of communication (even if it's a second language) is English. I have seen the way his teams play, a high pressing game would suite our style but how will he portray tactics and formations, instructions, motivation etc without speaking the language of our players? Just to clarify I was joking in my first post, but having thought about it, language is quite a serious issue in this debate. As for you calling me a name unnecessarily, swear words and name calling are a sign of weakness and a cover up for lack of intelligence. that by the way is a scientifically proven fact.

By learning the language. Or through his staff. Not difficult.
