Izzy Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 With our record of a minutes applause for just about anything surely we owe Pearson one and with Sunderland first game of the year it seems fitting. Can Union FS please sort a tifo out for the first game thanking Pearson? Perhaps a Thankyou Pearson and Welcome Ranieri split design? However much I liked NP, I think both of these ideas are a bit unnecessary myself. He's right up there with the best Managers we've had, but I don't think these gestures will help us beat Sunderland or benefit the team. Maybe just send him a card and some flowers as a thank you
Corky Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Yes, thanks Nige for all your work in getting us out of League One in a painless way, making us compete at the right end of the Championship, winning it with record points then ensuring we have a second season of top flight football to look forward to. You had your ups and downs along the way but you've enabled the club to progress and focus on hopefully a bright future.
Tielemans63 Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 ****ing love you Nige and I'm not even joking. I'll support Claudio all the way but for me there will always be the frustration of what might have been. Pretty sure that as time goes on his tenure will be revered in the same way O'Neill's is.
nettle Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Pearson has now left the club twice and both times been denied a proper goodbye to the fans and likewise the fans to Pearson. Unlike last time when it was quickly apparent Pearson would return to the Walkers with him managing Hull it does not look like we will see Nige in the near future. With our record of a minutes applause for just about anything surely we owe Pearson one and with Sunderland first game of the year it seems fitting. What a crap idea he's not dead mate !
TheStig Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 This public weeping over his sacking is turning into a farce! Pearson was sacked (as managers do). It is not the end of the world, and he was not fired for "nothing". Get over it - Leicester City is not Pearson - maybe he kept us up - by the skin of our teeth and if we had gone down - he would have gone anyway. Maybe Ranieri is not the most inspiring employment, but he will keep us up. Support the club and the players - Pearson is history so get used to it. Up the City - even without him!!!
Monk Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Thank you Nigel. You've brought the club back to great times from the deep depths of relegation to League 1, second only to Martin in modern times.
Blanesta Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Big Nige will always be a legend in my eyes, he definitely put the pride back in this club. He was building something special here, and it's a real shame he had to leave. Good luck for the future big man.
Guest Dirkster the Fox Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 As time will testify, Nigel Graham Pearson will prove to be one of our greatest ever managers. I personally hope he reads this forum and many others can share their appreciation for what he did at LCFC. Good luck Nigel!

So insensitive to those of us weeping about Nigels departure. It's the end of the world as far as I'm concerned.
nettle Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 I think most of the people posting on here who are pining for pearson should hopefully be tucked up in bed by there mum's by now.

Few managers will have had that bond with a football club and gone through the motions with one club alone like Pearson did at Leicester. His achievements with the club should stand the test of time and ought to be remembered as a period to be very proud of. He may be history, but at least he is our history. For that I'm forever grateful for what he's achieved given both the sportive and financial circumstances.

Blanesta Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Sorry mate I'm not as clever as you obviously. Correct.
nettle Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Ouch that's gotta sting. Can you tell me what the 'w' stands for please?
Tielemans63 Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Yeah that's right my mate that's why I'm posting on here with you! So you're saying you are pr1ck then? Have to say I admire your honesty.
ARM1968 Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Thanks for everything you did for us Nigel, truly. But in you next job try not to be such a bellend.
nettle Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 No. Do you want me to tell you what I think it means or can you guess.
Mark_w Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Do you want me to tell you what I think it means or can you guess. I'm not sure I can. Hopefully it's not as scathing and witty as your 'Yeah that's right my mate that's why I'm posting on here with you!' retort.
