NO MATE WE DONT; SUPPORT NIGEL O MARTIN NEILL PEARSON FC WE SUPPORT LEICESTER CITY FC

Yes. Yes, we do, which is why I tend to prefer the people who have come here and done well.

I tend to prefer those people that have been involved with the club which gave us Premier League football.

Anyway, ta-ra, i'm going back to replying to valid points.

Thank you for everything you have done for our club Nigel. Some of the on and off pitch memories will stay with me forever. One Nigel Pearson.

Just got in..just back from the future.

Ranieri, MON, NP, Bloomfield, Gillies, classed the best managers to lead Leicester.

Ranieri However stands out, because of his exceptioinal 7 years at the foxes Helm.

His last 3 years top 3, following 4 cup successes with top 7.Winning 1 Euefa cup.

Oadby now remembered, for its KP brand and 2nd Thai enclave outside Thailand.

Good times witn Nigel

Made me start enjoy going to matches again

I thought he got a lot wrong last season but I think he adapted and learnt and we would have been stronger for that knowledge and experience going forward

Not going to cry in my cornflakes but I do feel it's a shame he didn't get the opportunity to go again

Must now be in a fairly exclusive club of managers given the boot after winning seven out of the last nine

I do wonder if his loyalty to the present squad and an unwillingness to make radical changes ultimately cost him his job

I wish him well but hope we stuff any team he manages

Nigel I am gutted that you built a legacy, taking us to the Premier League and keeping us up only to have it taken from you.

It should be you taking Leicester City to those golden hills of grandeur.

We will never surpass your seven wins from nine in the top flight and I wait for the day you find your way back to us.

With love and respect..............

He could only do what's put in front of him, and how many mangers in today's game have gone up through 2 divisions?

As i just stated, I hold the achievements of both in the same regard.

Both were incredible.

Both. In. Same. Regard.

3rd time I have said it now.

Nigel Adkins?

I always forget that you can't appreciate what both Nige and O'Neill did for this club. You have to pick one or the other.

You can certainly appreciate both. I do. But when people start saying he's our best manager ever, then obviously O'Neill will get mentioned because he achieved more.

to be fair Pearson took us from our worst ever time in our history slumped in league one with no money and in debt, to the best come back in premier league history. A few more seasons Pearson could may have well won a cup and built something special. But we'll never know now. Sadly it's time to move on

Just read back through all 7 pages and only one person has suggested that NP might be our best ever manager. Not really sure in that case why your response to a lot of peoples gratitude to Nige is to shout it down with 'yeah but O'Neill was better'- just comes across as a bit petty tbh.

Why did you let yourself give away the best job you will possibly ever have? :nigel:

As you are such a good reader Paddy, you would have noticed that I was asked who I thought was top. That's when I said well O'Neill is better and maybe others before. So I was merely responding to a question. Others then joined in and said they were at least level best.

That's what happens in a discussion. People make a comment and others either agree or disagree. So not too petty really Paddy is it?

I was being sarky fella, I agree with you.

Such special memories, especially from the promotion seasons and of course the run we went on at the end of last season. But we move on and so will he

Loving the irony of this post.

Pearson made me proud to be a City fan, and he was the first since MON to do that. The past seven years (ignoring the Sousa/Sven disaster) have been great: winning leagues at a canter, some fabulous matches, and brilliant players. OK, there have been some crap games and some drab performances, but overall the balance has been fantastic. I'll miss him, and in my heart of hearts I'll never forgive the owners for sacking him, no matter how well Ranieri does.

Thanks Nigel. For me you were one of the very best.

Can all the c***s please refrain from posting in this one thread? If you can't appreciate what Pearson has done for Leicester City, then you are not a Leicester City fan.

The man was a club legend and the chapter has finally come to a close, actually a bit sad but the world keeps on turning. Will always be grateful for everything he did and I firmly believe we'd be lingering around lower mid-table in the Championship right now had he not come back

May he find more success in his next task, working with owners who care more about the football business than overseas cigarette sales.

Cheers

Thank you, Nigel.

Forever will you stand up there with Brian Little and Micky Adams in terms of on-field achievements.

It's just a shame that your off-field antics will have you seated next to Martin Allen.

You still had a way to go to be even considered to be alongside Martin O'Neill in terms of stature and who knows, maybe you may have achieved that. It's just a shame that you seemed to be on a self-destruct mission and are incapable of behaving in an appropriate manner for someone in the public eye. You, of all people, would never have tolerated such behaviour from one of your players... unless it was your son, allegedly.

With you at the helm, we may well have built upon the success of the final quarter of last season, although we could also have continued with the form of the middle half where we were awful.

I hope you've learned plenty from you time here, not just from a footballing viewpoint, but also a professional one. I hope you continue to have a good career unless you're playing us.

Would have worked, had I written the word Nigel once, in the entire text.

Yeah you nearly had it covered! Although I could have then added Paul Lambert or Eddie Howe instead!

I only caught the last year or so of the MON era, so this period in lcfc history is the only real success I have seen, bar the brief season under Mickey Adams' pensioners. Under Pearson I always felt proud of supporting the club, and the players on the pitch always gave it there all in every game playing for the shirt.

His achievements across the 2 stints at the club from getting us out of league 1 and up the Championship to consolidating us in the Premier League cannot be played down. MON's cup wins put him slightly ahead, but Nigel's achievements are not far behind with the state the club was in on his arrival on both occasions. I honestly believed over the next few years we would build something special under Nigel and potentially surpass anything this club has ever achieved in its history. Just a shame it was taken away from us.

Both us and him will move on of course, and it's unlikely we will ever see the shiny white trainers in the home dug out again. I hope the new direction we are heading in proves successful, else there will always be the what ifs that could have been achieved. I'm sure he will be back in the Premier league within 2 years, and I hope the fans give him the reception he deserves no matter who he is in charge of.

Cheers Nige, you were a great manager, and also a wonderful bloke. Good luck.
