We know that's from Friday. But it's not just down to him where he goes really. Inter and DIS own 50% each of the player and have both repeated that unless Bayer match the 15m Euro bid, then his options are essentially stay where he is or come to us. Now they may back down on that a bit, but currently they aren't letting the player dictate where he goes.

Any news article out there are the moment in the UK will be out of date. We have the info in this thread before they can report it, due to the south americans essentially conducting the transfer in their local press.

Pretty confident one of three things will happen: he'll wait til deadline day, Bayer won't offer, he'll come here with a release clause.

Bayer will rule themselves out, he'll come here with a release clause.

Bayer will buy him for about 12/13m and inter will settle.

There's little point him staying there when he can put himself in the shop window with a good season in the premier league.

He's just played in the world cup and Copa America, he's 26, interest in him should be at its peak and the only offer on the table is Leicester City. What does he think is going to happen if he stays in Brazil? Real and Barca aren't coming, Bayer and Bayern aren't coming, Chelsea aren't interested.

Shit or get off the pot.

I fancy a flutter on him coming.

I'd like to play for Barcelona but they haven't made an offer of note as yet - but the truth is that Thurmaston FC wouldn't give me a place on their bench so at some point I'll have to make a different decision.

That's old news.

Thanks Blanesta :-)

Seems like the Kante deal will go through at least. Perhaps Drinky will also make the step up this season. It took Vardy time to move up the leagues to the Championship but he did it, and Drinky has had a year to learn from Esteban too

Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps....

No chance he is staying where he is.

Doubt it. It's just posturing because he has his hopes set on a better move. As long as he's professional about it if/when he rocks up here (and if he uses us as a stepping stone then he'd have to put a shift in to impress) then that's fine with me, I applaud his ambition.

He wants to play in Europe (the continent, not just the cl) and we're his chance.

Inter are nothing special and even Santos and Corinthians would only keep him satisfied so long.

I hope he signs, he'd definitely improve the side, but I think people are over stating both him and Internacional. There isn't a big queue of top European clubs ready to take a chance on a 26 year old who's only played a couple of seasons outside of Chile's rather shit top flight and has never played in Europe. He's never even dazzled at a world cup in Europe.

If there were a few upper mid table La Liga clubs like Valencia, Villarreal or Sevilla sniffing around then I wouldn't fancy our chances but if it's us vs Inter he'll be ours on deadline day after giving up on moves elsewhere.

I've seen nothing to suggest Bayer are even considering matching our bid, nor OM, who refused (and probably just couldn't) match us for Kante.

The premier league is getting it's biggest cash injection yet and we know it, every agent in the world knows it and we're making sure European clubs with a much bigger reputation than us know it.

You think Stoke would have signed the players they have this time last year?

Good post, especially the "Shit or get off the pot" bit.  :D

No chance he is staying where he is.

This is why grammar is so important. I've literally no idea how to interpret this comment; do you mean that there is 'no chance he is staying where he is' or 'no chance, he is staying where he is'

I think Aranguiz staying at Internacional is the least likely outcome of all this.

He can't afford to miss a move this window, Internacional know it and want their €15m and will probably make it difficult for Aranguiz.

Surely he moves to Leicester if his only other choice is Inter who are trying to push him out the door?

It reads how i put the comment, if it required a comma to mean something else I would have put a comma.

I'll try again - he is not staying at his current club.

Blame Stevosevic, who can't write.

You can't read and he can't write, when is the wedding?

No problemo,

As long as we get Kante in I think we'll be alright for the start of the season.

Yet you use a semicolon incorrectly yourself?

One think of note... I'm pretty sure Pearson would of put the blocks on this quite some time ago. He wouldn't of wanted someone who isn't 100% committed to us.

Will he go missing on. Wet and windy Wednesday game when we are losing at half time?

Will he slap in a transfer request after 1 good season.

If we do sign him, I'd need convincing that he would be committed to the cause...

In that case I apologise!
