davieG Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 I've heard they want to get Berbatov and play him CM..box to box, high energy closing down he's perfect. or sarcasm?
SB87_LCFC Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 Lucas Leiva from Liverpool if Inler deal falls through anyone? According to SSN Liverpool haven't said he can go but would listen to offers
Fuch Me Moore Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 No idea if he's in Man United's plans but Carrick? he can pick a pass well, with the pace on our wings/up front I could see that working. Cheaper maybe more viable option of Huddlestone? Had a shocker last season but he surely still has the passing ability he once had. Other options, Joe Allen at Liverpool, or again I don't follow Arsenal to know if Mikel Arteta would be used a lot by them??
Christoph Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 Lucas Leiva from Liverpool if Inler deal falls through anyone? According to SSN Liverpool haven't said he can go but would listen to offers Wouldn't see why not although I feel someone more creative is needed now that we have Kante who can do the running around. Regarding the other poster - I think most people would take Carrick. Sublime quality for a team like us but I think he'd slip down to Tottenham or Everton rather than go for us.

And Michael Carrick had a shocker last season???????
Fuch Me Moore Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 Carrick cheaper than Huddlestone? ????? No I meant I would prefer Carrick but Huddlestone could be a cheaper/more willing to come to us.
Wymsey Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 Non of those would come to us. And Michael Carrick had a shocker last season??????? He did, but he was shifted to various positions (such as defence) to cover injuries.
BigMicky Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 He did, but he was shifted to various positions (such as defence) to cover injuries. That's weird, he was injured for the majority of last season.
Fuch Me Moore Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 That's weird, he was injured for the majority of last season. Maybe the reason he had a shocker last season....

Dear Fuch Me, - is it ok to use your first name rather than the more formal Mr Moore? I couldn't have Huddlestone on my mind. Now too slow in brain and heavy in leg. I think we can do better than him.
AKCJ Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 Huddlestone/Carrick wouldn't fit in. Neither have the work ethic. We're never going to replace Cambiasso and that's because he had the work ethic with tremendous talent.

Absolutely ridiculous post.

Someone creative alongside him would work just as wellEven in his brief cameo on Saturday you could see his quality

Maybe so, if last season was anything to go by then yes you are right he would not be worthy. Fingers crossed we will see Inler come in, if not I'm sure the club have identified other targets we haven't heard about yet!
AKCJ Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 But Kante does seem to have the work ethic. Someone creative alongside him would work just as well Even in his brief cameo on Saturday you could see his quality I think we'd have to go to a 3 in midfield. Kante and King doing the running and someone like Carrick (Huddlestone isn't good enough) spraying the ball about.

Kante and King doing the running and someone like Carrick (Huddlestone isn't good enough) spraying the ball about. I get what you are saying but we have very creative attacking players in Mahrez, Albrighton and at times Schlupp so having that creative centre mid is not as crucial as it was IMO. Cambiasso showed glimpses of pure class but it's not like he dictated our play. Kante looks like a proper workhorse who can pass well so having Inler or similar alongside him would be perfect and for me one of the most exciting midfield in the league.
Fuch Me Moore Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 Do you watch football? Do you have any knowledge of the game? Absolutely ridiculous post. Clearly not....my bad!
The_77 Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 #WelcomeInler Wouldn't it be #WelcomeGokhan? FRAUD.
Molly Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 Am I the only one who wouldn't want carrick. I think he'll kill the speed and flow of our attack.
