Raj Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 Let me mourn in peace Mike, today is going to be tough for me.Be strong Bro.Our thoughts are with you at this trying time.
jimmeh Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 King Power happy clappers at the King Power in King Power football land.... Pathetic. Well that's football nowadays. Why do you think the owners are here for. Because they love leicester city? jeeze
ElusiveEd Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 Who has the delightful job of putting one of these on every seat? Do they bring in agency staff for it or is it all internal overtime work for someone. Either way even with 20 odd doing it you'd still be there a while! Simpson? Community Service?
Heymister2015 Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 From the half way to the family end should use them in the first half! From the half to the Kop should use them in the second half! Otherwise people will just get bored of using them for 90mins every week
sdb Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 Noise is noise. Anything that improves atmosphere is fine by me.
LCFC FOX Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 I wouldn't like to be the team involved swapping them over at half time
Frank to be Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 King Power happy clappers at the King Power in King Power football land.... Pathetic. crap having owners who dip into their pockets to try and improve the atmosphere isn't it? I'd rather they were asset stripping.
Guest MattP Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 Be honest Frank you wish Top was stripping then spanking your arse with a King Power clapper.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 Like I said before really don't want them at our ground. Last 10 games last season was fine but hoping we don't have them at every home game as it probably won't have the same effect. Just my personal preference. The good thing about clappers is that is brings enjoyment to some fans.
Christoph Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 A lot of people are against these but nobody can deny how much more noise is generated thanks to the clappers. I'm all in favour as it gets a lot of the older people who dont want to chant, to join in. Our rise in form during those last games were around the same time as when the clappers were bought in werent they? Anything that could give us a tiny advantage is favourable for me.

Yes, because if we didn;t have the clappers we would be travelling to Millwall today right?
jimmeh Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 Yes, because if we didn;t have the clappers we would be travelling to Millwall today right? 2 leagues below?
Christoph Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 Yes, because if we didn;t have the clappers we would be travelling to Millwall today right? You never know do you. If I recall correctly we bought those clappers in during the West Ham game at home? IF the players are goign to run that extra inch, press harder on the opposing team or take that shot instead of pass because of the roar of the crowd then you never no if it makes a good impact. I dont see the big deal anyway, they're loud and if you dont want to use them then you dont have to.
RedSoxUK Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 2 leagues below? Life would have been so bad without clappers that we all became serious Shrewsbury fans.
Frank to be Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 Be honest Frank you wish Top was stripping then spanking your arse with a King Power clapper. Be honest matt if he was you'd be jealous until you realised he was foreign
davieG Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 I'm not too fussed as I use my hands it's a shame that those fans that want these don't bring their own at least then they would feel more lcfc than kingpower driven. What I have noticed though is that the use of them seems to encourage more fans to also join in with more of the singing.
Kitchandro Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 If you don't like the clappers, don't ****ing use them. This argument is so overused in these debates. That's not the point is it? The point is it reflects badly on us as a fanbase as it suggests we can't make an atmosphere by ourselves. It's embarrassing. It doesn't exactly say big club with passionate fans does it? That said, I get the argument that it improves the atmosphere. It's just a shame some people are too lazy to contribute unless they're supplied with these things.

We're generally not a big club with passionate fans though. Would you rather proactive measures were taken to improve the atmosphere or sitting in near silence? If you're worried about what fans of other clubs think then I can see your point but also think you're being unnecessarily sensitive.

To be fair barely any fanbase makes noise on their own anymore. Any club willing to have a pop at us likely sit in an atnosphere that could be compared to a library all game. The club is making some kind of effort to increase the atmosphere.

Why does it matter so much what fans who see us using clappers on Motd think? Everyone who came to our place at the back end of thr year had huge praise for the atmospheres we generated so whatever a few idiots spout on twitter about it being embarrassing is pretty irrelevant. Obviously i'd prefer if they weren't needed and we had 30,000 people with the same mindset, but that just isn't going to happen. Maybe when the clappers do finally get binned off everyone will realise how much better footy is when you make a good racket though.
iancognito Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 I follow Kitch's thinking on this but every club has elements of the fanbase who don't join in, some people just don't want to, it's not in their nature so anything that increases the atmosphere or noise level is fine by me. I'm not sure I want the clappers every week though, it will start to get tired and the effect will lessen after a while
Larry_LCFC Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 Please God don't make then just have King Power splattered all over them
Jimbo Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 The ones who don't like then are the ones who try to create their own atmosphere. That's fair enough, I'm sure the majority of people would love that. Unfortunately those in that majority are spread around the ground making them the minority in a much larger population, those who live outside the world of fans forums etc. Without them the stands are quiet, those who wouldn't normally sing and dance don't. The clappers have pretty much everyone joining in. Everyone makes an effort because they have tools provided to them. The noise generated, and not just from the clappers alone, when they are present in pretty special. So like them or not, they work and do the job they are supposed to do
AmyLGK Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 OH MY GOD!!! People moan cause there is no atmosphere, the owners supply clappers and we're credited with one of the best atmospheres in the premiership...people still moan! Who cares how the atmosphere is made...unless it's a vuvuzela...then I'll join in with the moaning!
Nalis Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 Use them when we need a special atmosphere. It's like eating caviar every day, after a while it's the norm and not special at all. Happy to use them today but we should bin them for a while after that. Completely agree with his, loses its effect if its done every game.
