jimmeh Posted 1 October 2015 Posted 1 October 2015 Burnley fans being charged £41 for Blackburn. This country really is so out of touch with the fans it's unreal. Two traditionally working class, lower income, small towns and they're charging £41. ****ing scandalous. It stretches way beyond the Premier League. Is it really that much? Even on the minimum wage, a 10 hour shift will get you £70. Five hours work on minimum wage to see a professional football match. It's hardly that sickening

yorkie1999 Posted 1 October 2015 Posted 1 October 2015 What about if your a single earner with a wife and 3 kids, tickets costing over £140 for a family is not right Then add that to 40 quid travel, 15 quid a head for food and drink and your looking at well over 200 quid.
Foxfromburbage Posted 1 October 2015 Posted 1 October 2015 Good Luck to those protesting protecting the game for the normal man / woman or child

People like you are the reason we are getting shafted.
Carl the Llama Posted 1 October 2015 Posted 1 October 2015 It's good to hear that Jimmeh has no rent, loans, bills, or any other fiscal obligations to fulfil. Or that he doesn't need to eat food and wear clothes to these football matches which are the only outgoing source of money for him. I'm pleased for you Jimmeh.

Five hours work on minimum wage to see a professional football match. It's hardly that sickening You're a wind up merchant surely. So someone on the minimum wage should think 'hey it's only a seventh of my pay for a 35 hr week. I should consider myself lucky". Just another indicator of the gentrification of our game and the selfish nature of those above the breadline. Football used to be a game for all, rich or poor. I think you'll find very few (if any) poor Arsenal fans for example, who can afford a season ticket. There will be many Leicester people who would love the opportunity to go every game but can't afford it. I'm not too badly off, but to be honest I have had to disappoint my son occasionally because I look at the price of a ticket for him and me say at Chelsea or Arsenal and think (after travel etc) your talking well over £100 for a game. We have to pick and choose our away games (I probably take him between 5-7 in a season). When I was a teenager (mid 1970's) my brother and me went whatever games we wanted and we could pay for our own tickets with our own money from paper rounds etc It's disgusting the price of tickets, the money grabbing owners of clubs and the Premier League Heirachy should do the decent thing and look at freezing prices for the next 10 years or even lowering prices. I say protest whenever you can.
Ashley Posted 1 October 2015 Posted 1 October 2015 I do, mate. You joining us? Yes!! Where you going to be?

That was pretty much me during the League One season. I went to 13 away games on a part time wage. It was glorious. Prices hit a bit closer to home now I'm an adult.
jimmeh Posted 1 October 2015 Posted 1 October 2015 What do you expect the price to be? It's top level sport. How much is it to go to a music gig? To a tennis match at Wimbledon. To a golf tournament? It's £20 for 2 tickets to the cinema these days. If you want to enjoy yourself it costs. Face it. And stop these ridiculous protests.

If you want to have an entertaining life it costs. Face the facts. If you don't want to pay money then why don't you go for a walk up a mountain or something? That's free.
jimmeh Posted 1 October 2015 Posted 1 October 2015 What a completely uneducated and stupid thing to say. Why? Or can't you say why.
MPH Posted 1 October 2015 Posted 1 October 2015 Without reading all the thread.... Has it been considered that the home club might be doing this will the purpose of limiting a vociferous away support thus nullifying the positive effect it can have on the away team?

Has it been considered that the home club might be doing this will the purpose of limiting a vociferous away support thus nullifying the positive effect it can have on the away team? considering a large amount of home tickets are quite ludicrous prices i highly doubt this has much to do with it. they charge more because they know people will pay it and they are greedy. nothing more nothing less.

Let's hope you never find it hard to pay your bills.Yes things cost, yes people need to prioritise what they spend their money on. But your views are even more right wing than Thatcher. Football was a sport for all for many years. So the stadiums are more flash etc now, but does that really justify the 1 million % increase in ticket prices? (yes I've exaggerated a bit). Take a look at yourself you selfish git.
Voll Blau Posted 1 October 2015 Posted 1 October 2015 How much would be too much for you to pay out of interest Jimmeh?

And stop these ridiculous protests.I pay £26 for a family ticket at pictures, compared to well over a ton for football, so WTF younon about. Music gigs and tournaments are one offs, which I would compare to a cuo final or England international. Watching Footy is part and parcel of alot of peoples lives, something they grew up, which now is becoming too expensive.
Wymsey Posted 1 October 2015 Posted 1 October 2015 Should get free beer coupons to make prices better value for money.
hornyhollthefox123 Posted 1 October 2015 Posted 1 October 2015 Yes but jimmeh we are talking about fans here. Not just people that attend events but people who actually support and loyally follow Leicester. Granted someone could pay anywhere between day £20-250 for a Wimbledon or music gig but they are one off events. What we're discussing here is the consistent overcharging of loyal supportive football fans. Fortunately I'm someone who only pays for my own ticket. But someone paying for multiple people and travel , food etc is looking at paying way above £100 regularly. That simply isn't right. I don't know what more can be said. I cannot grasp how people can't understand how outrageous ticket pricing is. I'll be there on Saturday - and let's hope we get some attention.

Don't make me laugh it's fvcking league games we're talking about. £60 for Arsenal fans to go watch Norwich £45 for Boro fans to go watch Man United reserves in the League Cup £42 for Birmingham fans to go to Leeds including £30 for a 16 year old £41 for Stoke (and us, remember) at Villa £41 for pretty much everyone at Ipswich You've posted some fvcking retarded stuff on here but this is #1. Well done.
Number 6 Posted 2 October 2015 Posted 2 October 2015 Two people going to the cinema is half as expensive as one person going to a football match and that apparently justifies ticket prices? What is going on!?
