Finnegan Posted 29 September 2015 Posted 29 September 2015 Bit nosey ain't ya 'Finners'. Aye just curious 'Col'.
boots60 Posted 29 September 2015 Posted 29 September 2015 Last season I used to sit near a bloke who had a habit of telling me to FOAD & was fond of strangling opposing players. He seemed a bit of a miserable git. This season I am near a nicer chap, an Italian who keeps talking about food. I do not think either are idiots though.
The Doctor Posted 29 September 2015 Posted 29 September 2015 I write near an idiot. That's called a mirror
leicesterlad1989 Posted 29 September 2015 Posted 29 September 2015 I was near an idiot and technically I still am near that said idiot, yet I now find him tolerable. So either I am now an idiot too or he has mellowed down a little.
Babylon Posted 29 September 2015 Posted 29 September 2015 I'm sure most of us are idiots without realising it. I know my potty mouth can run away with me a bit
DeclanMC Posted 29 September 2015 Posted 29 September 2015 We used to have a bloke sat behind us who hated paul gallagher with a passion. Always used to call 'kanchelskis' out too. He still sits there but he's toned down now. Unfortunately for this season, I now have Statler and Waldorf sat behind me, who have been calling Riyad Mahrez for 90 minutes a game with brilliant insights such as 'lightweight', 'greedy' and my personal fave 'not good enough for us.'
Guest MattP Posted 29 September 2015 Posted 29 September 2015 Declan were you near the Keith Weller lounge? I sat there a few years back and the bloke in front of me Declan were you near the Keith Weller lounge? I sat there a few years back and the bloke in front of me hated Gally and referred to Konchesky as that.
NotTheMarketLeader Posted 29 September 2015 Posted 29 September 2015 I didn't realise foxestalk was so full of perfectly behaved people, who never swear of get over excited at the football. Unlike me - I'm a complete ****, who does nothing but swear and lose my rag with referees who are blind / cheating *******s - or our own players for that matter who don't track back. Add to that calling our own fans w******s for not singing constantly. It does seem that I'm the only one that cares.
Guest MattP Posted 29 September 2015 Posted 29 September 2015 Do people genuinely believe referees cheat? I think they are just generally hopeless or starstruck by big players rather than deliberately seeking to favour teams.
AKCJ Posted 29 September 2015 Posted 29 September 2015 I often feel sorry for those who have to sit near me to be fair.
foxoffderby Posted 29 September 2015 Posted 29 September 2015 I often feel sorry for those who have to sit near me to be fair. Me too. I can be a right nob once I'm beered up and turn into the Danny Dyer character from the Football Factory. Although I'm ok on school nights.

I think they are just generally hopeless or starstruck by big players rather than deliberately seeking to favour teams. I'm actually not saying I'm sure they are crooked, but in the heat of the moment after a few Prosecco's when you see week after week, decisions going against us (and yes West Ham should have had a penalty in the cup game) it is a word that comes to mind.I have been ridiculed over the years for insisting that FIFA was corrupt (and Im talking over 35 years I've been saying that since the 70s) and now that's not considered an outlandish claim. Anyway, refs being hopeless and star struck seems a good enough reason to vent expletives towards them as any tbh.
PAULCFC Posted 29 September 2015 Posted 29 September 2015 i quite like everyone who sits by me. if any of you are reading this keep it up. funny guy behind me keep making funny comments, sound guy next to me keep being sound. man like 8 rows back who is never happy you make me giggle bro 3-0 up vs sunderland first day of the season top of the league man's out his seat shouting PUSH OUT PUSH OUT after we cleared a corner but like 3 seconds after the header was like bro how are they meant to be pushed out the ball has barely left the penalty box yet left alone our cbs chill Do you sit in SK3 by any chance? 'cause i know just the bloke (or voice, because he's behind us) you mean.Seems to do it every game!
Guest Col city fan Posted 29 September 2015 Posted 29 September 2015 Referees don't cheat. It's such a fast paced game and being a ref is a completely unenviable task. I AM of the opinion (always have been) that decisions generally even themselves out over a season. It might not seem like that when you've suffered a particular bad ref. But generally you get as many decisions as you lose over the longer term I think.
Guest Posted 29 September 2015 Posted 29 September 2015 Good on ya mate... When you give it (humour) out you have to be able to laugh at yourself too. but Thanks.
ScouseFox Posted 29 September 2015 Posted 29 September 2015 Do you sit in SK3 by any chance? 'cause i know just the bloke (or voice, because he's behind us) you mean.Seems to do it every game! im right between sk1/sk2 but this bloke sits behind to my left so probs near sk3 so might be the same fella haha. it's often pretty calm around him an its just him doing his nut about us not tracking back or not pushing out when more often than not we are doing just that.
Guest Col city fan Posted 29 September 2015 Posted 29 September 2015 When you give it (humour) out you have to be able to laugh at yourself too. but Thanks. Exactly And that WAS funny..
