urban.spaceman Posted 15 December 2015 Posted 15 December 2015 No idea but hearing Neville Foulger's voice is just sublime. Nostalgia overload.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 15 December 2015 Posted 15 December 2015 No idea but hearing Neville Foulger's voice is just sublime. Nostalgia overload. Nev was brilliant tonight. Radio Leicester missed a trick when they booted him out. Yes, his commentary days were behind him but they should've kept him on as an analyst. Was a pleasure working with him again after nearly 20 years.

Spudulike Posted 26 December 2015 Posted 26 December 2015 So Radio Leicester online is only broadcasting rugby
Webbo Posted 26 December 2015 Posted 26 December 2015 So Radio Leicester online is only broadcasting rugby It always does. They don't have the online rights to football.
Spudulike Posted 26 December 2015 Posted 26 December 2015 It always does. They don't have the online rights to football. Only the match commentary. The build up is usually available up until kick off.
Oldblueyes Posted 26 December 2015 Posted 26 December 2015 Only the match commentary. The build up is usually available up until kick off. However the post match commentary is as DAB, so that is not correct. All the worldly listening City fans like me, now cannot hear RL post match dissussion online. Words fail me.

Here's the LCFC post match podcast to fill that void in your life, sir >>> https://audioboom.com/boos/3995847-the-official-leicester-city-podcast-episode-10

I didn't try to turn on the RL feed after today's match though.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 Thank you for the link. The club do a podcast after every game, usually available within an hour of full time.
AmyLGK Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 I absolutely hate this commentary. I honestly miss Stringer
Spudulike Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 I absolutely hate this commentary. I honestly miss Stringer Totally agree, Amy. If anyone from the club reads this, can we go back to last season's format, please ??
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 I absolutely hate this commentary. No offence taken, Amy :xmaslaugh: :xmaslaugh: :xmaslaugh: :xmaslaugh: :xmaslaugh:
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 PS Micky Adams and Neville Foulger are the match summarisers on Tuesday for the Man City game on Foxes Player.
AmyLGK Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 No offence taken, Amy :xmaslaugh: :xmaslaugh: :xmaslaugh: :xmaslaugh: :xmaslaugh: It's not you is it?? Oh I feel awful now...I just miss the passion I guess and the lack of post match analysis.
AmyLGK Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 And that's not to say you don't have passion...Oh I'm digging myself into a hole here.... I'll get my coat!
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 It's not you is it?? Oh I feel awful now...I just miss the passion I guess and the lack of post match analysis. Haha it's cool, no drama.
Jay Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 The program is just very cold now the pre match, half time and post match is atrocious/non existent. I guess that is more down to the what the club wants than those presenting.

The post match podcast is getting a lot of downloads/listens though which I know they're very happy with.

I imagine it is fairly difficult as even a regional BBC station has a far bigger infrastructure to deal with the likes of phone ins and important things like a quick cup of tea at half time for presenters.
Izzy Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 No offence taken, Amy :xmaslaugh: :xmaslaugh: :xmaslaugh: :xmaslaugh: :xmaslaugh: Keep up the good work Geoff. Us old Grammar school mates of yours will always be proud of ya!
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 Keep up the good work Geoff. Us old Grammar school mates of yours will always be proud of ya! I didn't have any friends at school. And not much has changed
1972 Fox Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 No offence taken, Amy :xmaslaugh: :xmaslaugh: :xmaslaugh: :xmaslaugh: :xmaslaugh: You probably don't remember but this reminds me of a similar faux pas that I made when I used to sit behind you at Filbert Street approx17/18 years ago, when I proclaimed that the 'Starting The Wave' was the worst book I had ever read, not knowing that you were the author!
