Where do you watch them in 1080p? PM me please

Have done.

For what it's worth, I'd happily pay for an "official" service, but since the powers that be won't let it happen, there is no legal way to watch all the PL games in the UK currently, apart from what Sky/BT decide to show each week.

Does seem crazy being at the mercy of sky and bt and their ridiculous costs when every other country in the world plays premiership games at 3pm. Seems that this cannot be a business model that will last forever.

@@danny. if you could PM me the same message it would be much appreciated.

Progress to a point - and something that might increase the depth of our appeal - but it all sounds far too cliquey to me. There needs to be some honest independent input and reaction.

I don't mean giving people licence to go slagging off players and officials irresponsibly. But this seems suspiciously like an attempt to slowly marginalise the independent view as far as you could ever call Radio Leicester properly independent.

I've been a fan over 50 years and my allegiance will never change.

But if I can't attend a match or watch on television,  I want proper commentary and constructive criticism/praise/analysis. I don't want a sanitised promotional exercise.

Yes, there needs to be due respect - and perhaps a greater sensitivity where the Under 18's are concerned - but this sounds like matchday broadcasting minus all critically reactive emotion - exactly what has been encouraged in so many different ways by the football business generally in recent years.

Much of what will be on offer will be highly processed PR with everyone involved left in no doubt how high the boundary lines now stand. Footballers and managers even get advised and coached on how to handle press interviews nowadays. And this will surely serve to extend that trend.

Mark my words - "stonewall footballspeak" will soon become an official language.

And people thought Matty Elliott couldn't co-summarise through fear of upsetting the powers that be he is associated with at the club.

As Thracian says this is going to be such one sided commentary. Can you imagine Conrad Logan or Matty James ever saying one of their team mates is having a bad game or the manager has made a strange decision?

And PLEASE GOD, spare us from Birchy commentating. FFS!

This is a bad move IMO

Commentary? Wow! Will definitely use this over watching games in 1080p video :-/

Hi Danny. I'd be interested in knowing how you do this. I've shelled out about a hundred quid in the past couple of seasons to people who promised access to NBC, but after a month or so, it's not worked. Really do think clubs should push for this: especially for people like me!

It was going on Saturday. The commentary was horrible. Missed Stringer and Elliot.

I wish I hadn't paid for a year.

Eh?

I already subscribe to Player (though I think I pay a little more than 10p a day. I hadn't been aware of this new initiative, but just logged on in the usual way last Saturday. Stringer wasn't the commentator (but dunno who), but i'm pretty sure Matty James was co-commentating. Can anyone clarify whether this was the new service and not radio Leicester? If so, long may it continue. I felt that I was kept far more up-to-date on what was happening on the pitch, as compared with Stringer's commentary technique.

I'm moving to Cape Town in January so I've been considering re-subscribing while I'm away, but I'm not too sure about the new commentary having listened to the podcast. Might just Skype my dad and get him to put the radio next to the microphone again (did this when I lived in New Zealand for whenever I couldn't sleep).

Is the rest of the service worth using though?
