Cincinnati Fox Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 Any news on what it is and how long he may be out for? Think we missed his leadership and organisation yesterday

foxfanazer Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 From what I heard he should be available for Watford
Babylon Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 Where? Schlupp was well out of position far too many times second half, was doing my nut in.
sdb Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 Sure I read that it was a knock that CR didn't want to risk, so assume he'll be available for Sat. Thought Schlupp did great though.
Fox92 Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 Schlupp was well out of position far too many times second half, was doing my nut in. Schlupp's defensive positioning is ridiculously poor, I've said that before. But I think his pace was key against a fast winger yesterday. I hate how Schlupp gets the ball then doesn't seem to run into space, just dallies on the ball. It was completely frustrating yesterday.
Guest Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 personally thought the Schlupp, albrigthon combination worked incredibly well, covering for each other and from an attacking pov was fantastic. MOTD showed how the attacks went down that side - stunning graphic.

I think even Jeff would admit he's not the best defensively but he's still another problem for the opposition to worry about

Now to sort out the other side.
Harry - LCFC Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 Schlupp went charging forward late in the game leaving us without a LB on a few occasions yesterday. It's decisions like that that show he hasn't developed into a PL fullback yet.
Stadt Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 It's funny how Fuchs was supposedly poor defensively, I think he's brilliant
Fox92 Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 It's funny how Fuchs was supposedly poor defensively, I think he's brilliant So do I, from what I've seen of him in his few appearances here. Better defensively than Schlupp.
les-tah Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 It's funny how Fuchs was supposedly poor defensively, I think he's brilliant Probably made to look poor against Ronaldo and others in the champions league as most are
Len Finsbury Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 It's good to have options across the pitch and Fuchs has offered that this season. He's better defensively than Schlupp but at the expense of Schlupp's attacking ability. It's been a while since we've had such strength in depth - we usually have a first choice fullback who only gets replaced when injured or suspended so to be able to rotate players depending on tactics makes a great option to have.

Bamba's Babes Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 Fuchs is actually pretty decent going forward too.

It's decisions like that that show he hasn't developed into a PL fullback yet. one time he had mahrez in front of him, we were 3-2 up (i think?) and between him and mahrez they tried a backheeled give and go and lost the ball with both of them about 50 yards behind the play. huth annihilated their striker so nothing came of it but crikey it was braindead from both. every time mahrez and albrighton switch wings and it leaves mahrez in front of jeff we are asking to concede. as others have said tho we have, on the left at least, got an option for every occasion it seems. and a good one, too. fuchs/schlupp, fuchs/mahrez, schlupp/albrighton, fuchs/albrighton etc etc pretty much all have massive plus points depending on the opposition. great stuff.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 Think annihilated is the right description, proper tackle.

ScouseFox Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 youy're seriously trying to blame Jeff for Riyad trying a stupid flick? nope, said riyad tried a stupid backheeled flick and jeff was miles out of position. in the game you were watching he was probably in an ideal position but that's because you're an idiot.

As for the personal attack, you're the moron with a vendetta against one of our own
