The Year Of The Fox Posted 11 November 2015 Posted 11 November 2015 Why should we be embarrassed by him though? Fans represent our club and city whether it be home or away. If he was a football hooligan you'd find him embarrassing. Talking shite, and occasionally standing in it and also reeking of it isn't the image I want portrayed of our fans. I realise he's obviously mentally ill which isn't nice at all. The bloke could still look after himself a bit more though and (presumably) not drink so much beforehand. Equally embarrassing are our fans goading him and videoing him and essentially starting threads like this. Pay him less attention and maybe he'll moderate his behaviour
RonnieTodger Posted 11 November 2015 Posted 11 November 2015 She's nice @@Leicesterpool Seen him get arrested away at Sheffield United in the relegation season. Also when we beat Hull a couple years ago 3-1, he was shouting "crap off Hull" on a ledge. He's like a fart. Funny at first, but after a few seconds he's just unpleasant.
city187 Posted 11 November 2015 Posted 11 November 2015 whats even more worrying is you could end up with a mental problem due to something thats not your fault and just get ridiculed on an internet forum. im not preaching but say your a father of a kid with mental illness who acted a bit like bernie and you came on here to see people taking the piss and slagging him off. im sure you would be a bit pissed Always one pc killjoy. Id be surprised if he would give a flying shit to be honest, mostly in jest
Gerard Posted 11 November 2015 Posted 11 November 2015 A hardcore Leicester fan, good on him I say. How many here could say they've ever walked to Coventry and back to watch Leicester or got on their bike to Hull away? Top man.

Nod.E Posted 11 November 2015 Posted 11 November 2015 This? Jesus. He used to live on my parent's road where I grew up. Must be something in the water

MPH Posted 11 November 2015 Posted 11 November 2015 Incredible that is, unbelievable it's the same guy. What year was that from, cause I know some say he's not as old he looks? It's a pity radio Leicester or the fox fanzine couldn't get into contact with him, get some sort of interview setup with him. Bet he has a few stories to tell. Q: Bernie... what are your thoughts on the season so far? A: Arrrgghhh! Chelsea? Arrrgghhhh! ahhh Q. ok, insigfhtful.... Ho do you feel Ranieri is getting on? A: agghh! Italy? Ahhrrghhh! Pizza Arrgghh! Q: ok.. i see where you're coming from.... Who's your favourite City player? A: arrgghhh! Andy is our King arrgghhh Q. ok couldnt agree more... Is there anything els you want to add? Pay him less attention and maybe he'll moderate his behaviour I once saw a group of gobshites pushing him in a circle about singing "bernie give us a song" which was obviously bang out of order. He was visibly distressed. I think it was Coventry away when Peltier scored. But I think it's pretty clear that he is in a good mood in the video I posted and doesn't seem to mind the attention. I personally think it's embarrassing when people get wound up on other people's behalf. Have you asked him for his opinion? Why should he moderate his behaviour? He isn't a hooligan, he's not hurt anybody and the only thing he really does is shout a bit.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 11 November 2015 Posted 11 November 2015 I can't say I get 'wound up' about it/him. I just pay himno attention and when necessary cross the road to avoid him.
MPH Posted 11 November 2015 Posted 11 November 2015 There but for the grace.......... And a whole lot of alcohol......

He obviously loves the club and thats fine by me. Hes a legend, give him ten pints and a megaphone during games

Wymsey Posted 11 November 2015 Posted 11 November 2015 Just seems an innocent, harmless person who is sadly affected by mental health issues.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 11 November 2015 Posted 11 November 2015 And a whole lot of alcohol...... Ha ha. ha....Indeed
VLC86 Posted 11 November 2015 Posted 11 November 2015 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDfMw_dRw90 He talks perfect sense, it's a well know fact that if you come from Manchester you can't fry an onion.

Why should we be embarrassed that someone who stinks a bit and shout crap randomly at people supports our club? He's clearly not representative of all our fans, people can clearly see that when they see the other 30 odd thousand turn up week in week out. You know what the embarrassing thing is? You. For being embarrassed by him.

The world would be a much duller place without people like Bernie!
Wymsey Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 Clearly, the people taking the piss out of him haven't had mental health issues themselves and are perhaps quite ignorant towards it.
howlinmadmurfdoc Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 I sat next to him on the train once and actually had a proper chat with him for about ten minutes about city in the 70s and 80s and how Keith Weller was his hero, he was very polite, then loads of kids started shouting "AAARRRHHH" at him and then he started doing it back. It almost seemed like he does it on purpose.

Len Finsbury Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 Does he actually have mental health issues or is he just a drinker?
