johnny the fox Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Hearing that Spurs main defender Vertonghens knee is fooked for 2 months, do we need a thread to keep us abreast of how our title rivals are doing? if not please delete..
nnfox Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Ain't Kompany out again? Pellegrini saying today that he will be back in action in 2 weeks
weller54 Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Peligrini saying today that he will be back in action in 2 weeks .....for 10 minutes
Fez of Mahrez Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Pellegrini saying today that he will be back in action in 2 weeks If only their opposition in two weeks time had the fastest striker in the league to test his hamstrings.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 If only their opposition in two weeks time had the fastest striker in the league to test his hamstrings. Hehehe

Fez of Mahrez Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 ulloa will prob be on the bench pal Meant Jeff obvs
HighPeakFox Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Sorry - we have no title rivals. Close thread
Riot Van Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Arsenal will bottle it. The Stone Roses turn up on the 7th at the Etihad thinking it's time for the gig, realise it's not till next month, get angry and deck the entire stadium in paint meaning City forfeit their game against Arsenal. Spurs are just shit.
Donut Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 If the league were to be decided purely on talent, I think Man City would win the league. They lack a top class central midfielder who can boss the play though and shield the back 4, i think thats where the greater problem lies for them. Otamendi is a decent enough defender barring the odd mistake. but theres no real cover for their back 4. Arsenal have questionable mentality at the crunch times
johnny the fox Posted 26 January 2016 Author Posted 26 January 2016 Liverpool win... go to wembley.. another game.. good for us?
nnfox Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Liverpool win... go to wembley.. another game.. good for us? As far as it goes for us playing them next week, i think it is good that it went to extra time providing klopp doesn't play the whole reserve team at the weekend. Longer term, getting to the final and winning it might give them a shot in the arm and they might now raise their game - extra confidence and competition for places. This should benefit us by them being more likely to take points off our rivals.
Renart Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 I wouldn't consider Spurs title rivals. Seriously? They are 5 points behind us and have the best form in the league at present, despite losing to us. They certainly are in the race for the title! http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/matchday/form-guide.html

Just hope losing Vertonghen proves to be a major blow for them!
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Perhaps we should be cooking up 3 batches of dodgy lasagna?
NoFuchsGiven Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 Anyone saying spurs arent title rivals are delusional.
Vlad the Fox Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 If its not us I hope it's man city, it would be too funny for arsenal to **** it up again and listening to their boring fans, whaaa whaaaa whaaaa.
Maybes Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 If its not us I hope it's man city, it would be too funny for arsenal to **** it up again and listening to their boring fans, whaaa whaaaa whaaaa. Agree. If it's not us then has to be Man City for me. Arsenal not winning it would just be Couldn't deal with Spurs and their fans if they won it.
NewEnglandFox Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 Liverpool win... go to wembley.. another game.. good for us? Meaningless. No pros in them playing an extra game as they're out of reach. The only negative would be if they had to play a midweek game the first week of April as they play Spurs the weekend prior. That would happen if they made the Europa QF or a reschedule of the 6th round of the FA cup. Pretty unlikely those stars align against us. Lot's of pros with Man City winning tomorrow which would create an extra game in their schedule. Add that to a favorable FA cup draw with Villa and a favorable Champions League draw with Dynamo Kyev and their schedule clogs up very quickly.
TeamRocket Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 Arsenals will have Mertesacker out for 3 games as well
