The eight year old had tickets bought through Everton, but was put near the Man City fans. I know there is banter and football tribalism, that sometimes makes us say things which we normally wouldn't, but if this is true it's sickening.
Webbo Posted 30 January 2016 Posted 30 January 2016 You don't have to be a football fan to be a cvnt.
The Blur Posted 30 January 2016 Posted 30 January 2016 Totally heartbreaking to read this, the kid will have to live with the stigma that come with being disabled for all of his life and now he get this. Bloody sickening.
bovril Posted 30 January 2016 Posted 30 January 2016 You don't have to be a football fan to be a cvnt. Absolutely. The percentage of bigoted twats in a football crowd is no more than in everyday life. Problem is these kind of cvnts see a football match as their opportunity to vent all their pent up anger and insecurity at any target they deem appropriate. This is just sick. And it's defended as 'banter'. Quite an abusive society we've become, but maybe I'm over-reacting.
Leicesterpool Posted 30 January 2016 Posted 30 January 2016 Such an horrible story hope the culprits are band for life! Sometimes some football fans take it too far! I don't like it when player is injured in the oppositions team and some fans are shouting "let him die" some can say it's banter but end of the day it's not nice.
ithuriel Posted 30 January 2016 Posted 30 January 2016 Really scummy thing to do to the kid, some people have no soul what so ever.
Donut Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 Its an 8 year old boy for christ's sake The fact that he has an Everton scarf and blanket suddenly means cvnts have an excuse to shout whatever abuse they want. Its a shame that some of the fans around them didnt give them plenty for this. At times, i absolutely hate the "banter" that comes with football. The majority of the time its not even banter, its just absolutely tasteless fvckery. Songs about Jimmy Saville, Munich air disaster, the Leeds fans stabbed in Turkey and such. If you think this is banter, you have no place at football, or in society.

MC Prussian Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 Why take it out on a disabled? Absolutely heartless. That Everton fan in the Manchester City end, however... You must've seen it coming. The match wasn't even sold out (but I suppose the Everton away end was).
GaelicFox Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 They said they sold 3000 home tickets to people with liverpool postcodes before stopping sales ! They need to find everyone of these and ban them for life and everyone who did or said nothing needs banning for 3 games !

If you expect an 8 year old in a wheelchair to receive abuse... well I have no words for that.

Well, any sensible Everton supporter would be anticipating crowd troubles when placed in a home end, no matter whom issued the tickets. I've done it on occasion (Bournemouth away springs to mind), but of course I'd never be so daft to wear LCFC tops or scarves. That'd spell disaster from the get-to. Don't know what you mean by your second sentence. I clearly hint at the fact that I find abuse aimed at a disabled low-life behaviour.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 Sounds like it's a load of old bull to me

Why shouldnt an 8 year old and his dad wear their Everton colours? Would anyone dare act like that in public if they didnt have their Everton colours on? The fact that youve actually tried to legitimise what happened makes me seriously, seriously lose any respect for you. EDIT: And to add, im not bothered about anything you want to say back. So dont bother quoting, because i am not interested in listening to you.
ramboacdc Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 most disabled spaces stick you in the home end. not fair on the poor people who have to use these spaces.

Like I've said before, abuse aimed at a disabled is a despicable act.
