fazzyfox Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 For away games I can see the club chartering some planes with very familiar looking stewardesses (the owners in drag) offering a certain brand of duty free items. Big rush for the loo when it's announced that we're directly over Derby / Coventry / Nottingham / North London!
C-man Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 If I had to go on an official club trip I wouldn't bother. It should be all about the personal adventure.
DeclanMC Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 I'd gladly buy into any club trip, as long as it guaranteed my ticket to the match. I've had a season ticket for 5 seasons, but only attended 3 aways due to work, money etc in that time. Hope that lack of priority points doesn't count against me.
english77 Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 I've been looking at potential qualifiers, hertha would be great. Easy to get too, should be a decent allocation. Fancy a trip to Monaco too. Chances of getting a ticket may be slim but will probably go without if east enough. You can get as many tickets to Monaco as you want they have no Fans

Apologies if I've got the wrong end of the stick here but... You've managed to have a season ticket for five years but only managed 3 aways due to work? All of a sudden work / money isn't an issue for a midweek European away game? No chance you'll be able to jump the queue to buy into a club run trip.
ScouseFox Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 wonder how quickly these will sell out. midweek trips with a bit of distance to travel always go right down the priority (hull, spurs, bury this season) but obviously real madrid away is a bit different to bury doubt i'll go to any aways because i don't have the money but if we get somewhere you can fly to on a ryanair i'll try and go for a few days. once the draw is made all flights from around the midlands to wherever we play will go from £30 easyjet to £150 each way, happens from liverpool airport every year. i remember when everton got drawn away at basel the other year and flights went from about £25 to £200 in the minute after the draw was made. hopefully living in leeds/liverpool means there'll still be cheap flights from round here.

Point 3 I agree with though, the priority system would come into play for sure.
C-man Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Eurostar will be getting used if we are anywhere in France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany or Switzerland. 04:30 train out of Leicester got me to Marseille by 1pm local time for a CL game a few years back. Amazing that considering it often takes me that long to get home from Birmingham.
Dan Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 I proper fancy a Eurostar trip too. We are surely, SURELY getting at least one of those countries. Got to say Russia isn't as bad there as I thought it was, I was under the impression it was about £600 for a visa for some reason. If we got one of them I would actually be half tempted just as a one off.

Finnaldo Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 What are you doing walking it? Takes me 45 mins. Traffic possibly? depends what part of Brum as well
Bayfox Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Ideally I'd love a trip to Barca, both for the football and the City itself. I may even break my rule on half and half scarves for that 1 game. Otherwise, purely from a selfish point of view. Anywhere in Holland will do, the ferry from Harwich is ideal. Napoli as it is the closest place to my parents so kills 2 birds with one stone. And as others have mentioned the eurostar does make france and belgium appealing as well. Come on Leicester let's do this.
steveherbe Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Hope we get Le Havre. Ferry from Portsmouth then walk to the ground
Dan Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Surely I'm not the only one who read C-Man's post as quite blatant exaggeration
purpleronnie Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Surely I'm not the only one who read C-Man's post as quite blatant exaggeration Of course, 8 and a half hours from brum to leicester. Hence my sarcastic retort.
Górnik Leicester Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 it is strange to think really that we are more than likely going to be in the champs league. Anyone else saving holiday from work for European away days? I imagine they advise not to travel if you don't have a ticket? I think I would still go if it was easy enough to get to. Best case - Brugges, Athletico Madrid and Anderlect. Worst - Bestikas, CSKA and Lech Poznan I wouldn't worry. The chances of any Polish club - let alone Lech - getting into the Champions League at the moment are not exactly high.
C-man Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Of course, 8 and a half hours from brum to leicester. Hence my sarcastic retort. 7 and a half with time difference Which isn't actually as great an exaggeration as it initially sounded given it did once take me 5 and a half hours (two train cancellations, a third as far as Coleshill Parkway only and then a replacement bus which broke down on the M69. Ended up getting picked up near the A5. Absolute liberty.)

No chance you'll be able to jump the queue to buy into a club run trip. Changed jobs recently. Previously I did used to work every other Saturday, but always managed to wrangle home games. Now no weekends/evenings for the time being. I don't think I'm any less of a Leicester City supporter for not attending the majority of away games, but I just want to have the opportunity to follow us away in Europe.
Voll Blau Posted 2 March 2016 Posted 2 March 2016 No chance of Galatasaray rocking up anyway... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35708136
