Bluetintedspecs Posted 31 March 2016 Posted 31 March 2016 Apparently this recent 'twitchy arse syndrome' is perfectly normal in Leicster fans of a certain age who have endured decades of obscurity, disappointment, yo yoing and mediocrity...Well that's what my Doctor said when he diagnosed me with it this week... Yep I've done those hard yards too Mines resulted in a dicky ticker
Brooksy Posted 31 March 2016 Posted 31 March 2016 Yeah 2-0 for me too. Early goal to settle the nerves and a second from Kingy about 70 minutes to seal it. 7 points clear with 6 games to go pretty much job done best team in england etc
Spudulike Posted 31 March 2016 Posted 31 March 2016 Not sure if my memory is playing up but over the past couple of seasons we have looked very rusty the first match after a break. Norwich at home the most recent example.

Norwich at home the most recent example. You're right.. This has been another long break.. We played well against Arsenal (albeit losing), then poorly after that break against Norwich.
Izzy Posted 31 March 2016 Posted 31 March 2016 Yep I've done those hard yards too Mines resulted in a dicky ticker Think I'd rather have a twitchy arse than a dodgy ticker mate! We need you to stay zen, relaxed and chilled while all of us around you lose our heads

Spudulike Posted 31 March 2016 Posted 31 March 2016 Who pissed on your chips? I blame the nerves. I would be very tempted to give a start to our No. 23 as Shinji always seems to have issues with jet-lag.

Guest ttfn Posted 31 March 2016 Posted 31 March 2016 Decisions overall... I think we've had a few go our way and a few against. Biggest myth that we get it all our way. If you want bias involving us then look no further than last season and the run of about 8 different penalty decisions that went wrongly against us in a row. I've never seen anything like it and I'm convinced it was because they didn't like Pearson. You don't get that many against you by chance. Sorry I'm not having it. We got lucky to get a penalty at Norwich, lucky at home to Bournemouth and lucky at Arsenal - lucky in the sense that they were all quite borderline and you've seen them go both ways but I think there was a good case for any of them. Main one that springs to mind that went our way was Fuchs at Man City but I think that was just outside the box, if memory serves. In terms of penalties we've actually had more go against us wrongly than for us wrongly. That Spurs one earlier in the season completely baffles me. I can't grasp the possibility that the ref has missed that. It's so so blatant. I'd bring in some sort of video technology but I'd make the rules more black and white. I do worry though that even technology won't save it - Dermot Gallagher, ex referee, came out and said Scott Dann pulling Huth's shirt off is "not a penalty" because Huth (yes, Huth, not the ref) made it a comedy incident. Bournemouth should have had one against us when Kante fouled Tomlin inside the box and the ref gave a free kick outside. Then again in that same game Vardy got very clearly fouled in the box in injury time and there was nothing doing. Others you've missed where we've been lucky are Huth somehow not giving away a penalty at either West Brom or Villa, Mahrez was offside for one of his goals at each of West Brom and Swansea, Albrighton was offside for his goal against Sunderland, Drinkwater should have gone at Arsenal and Schmeichel should have given away a penalty and could have been sent off at West Ham. It sounds a lot but as others have said it's (at least close to) balanced out by other stuff (nobody's mentioned that in the reverse fixture van Dijk was offside for his goal). You don't get to where we've got to from where we've come without a bit of luck along the way.
Clever Fox Posted 31 March 2016 Posted 31 March 2016 Shane Long will be a real danger as he puts himself about and is very quick. He's also excellent at heading the Ball. So I don't know who's going to pick him up, probably Kante. But then who watches Mane coming forward. I think it's going to depend on who wins the midfield battle. If we get a result and Spurs lose the physiological advantage to us will be huge.
Clever Fox Posted 31 March 2016 Posted 31 March 2016 You don't get to where we've got to from where we've come without a bit of luck along the way. Agreed. But I don't think we'll get any easy decisions now, as Referees won't want to be seen helping us to win the League.
ScouseFox Posted 31 March 2016 Posted 31 March 2016 crazy the level of optimism on the southampton forum. sure they had a good result last time out but it seems they're still thinking we're leicester and not barcelona, idiots. their fans appear to be approaching this as if they're playing an alright team but one they should be beating. we've only lost once at home in our last 18 home games. vs arsenal. 11 home games unbeaten. we've only conceded 5 goals in those 11 games. we are incredible. we'll win easy.

ARM1968 Posted 31 March 2016 Posted 31 March 2016 As ever. Play our game. Play to our strengths. Actually go for goals. We win. Southampton are a good team. I like them and their manager.
biggs Posted 31 March 2016 Posted 31 March 2016 Liverpool fans all for tampering with Spurs title hunt.....hope they get their wish. Not sure we need it but would be a bonus. Our boys look really sharp and hungry brimming with confidence. Should be a great match.
