Schwarzer!!!

We're f**ked!

NOT really - he's quite capable.

Trains all the time. Should be ready any time

Says the man who has accepted defeat 80 minutes into the Norwich game...

lol  :D

Defence is gonna have to be very tight and mifield on their guard.

Southampton very capable but so are we, got a feeling this will be our biggest test as Im surprisingly not worried bout our other run ins.

Tough unit tough to beat.

COME ON SUPER BLOOS!!

Have watched that Vardy goal against Germany over and over, the predatory instinct of a true striker.

He knew what he was going to do, and in a split second got his body and feet perfectly positioned.

We may have tough games ahead but NOBODY will be looking forward to playing US.

Come on lads, you're legends already.......in 7 games time you will be written into the clubs history.....and Worldwide football folklore.

Thank fvck the team aren't such a bunch of faint hearts as half the posters here are. Hoping and praying that Spurs drop points - bunch of milquetoasts! In this world you make your own lvck. We have a team we can admire without reservation so how about giving the team staunch support - worthy of the effort and commitment they're putting in for us. Let Spurs get on with what they're doing and let us concentrate on what our lads are going to do.

Personally I couldn't have got a better fillip than Vards scoring that goal in Berlin. Lineker himself didn't have that kind of skill and confidence. It shows that he's just not had the opportunities (bar the one he put past the post - under pressure) AND that he's got one of the quickest footballing brains around. He can assess whose got the best chance of scoring in milliseconds. I thought Mahrez was the clever one - turns out Vardy is football smart in a different way.

was thinking the very same after watching that goal a few times. He knows what he wants to do before the ball comes off the crossers foot, gotta be clairvoyant or something.

Got to say I thought the same after Saturday night and if we have the full Vardinho back for the last 7 we are in a far stronger position.

Happy Easter guys, just thought I would stop by and get some thoughts on Sundays game.Firstly though I'd like to wish you all the best and I hope you beat that north London club to the title.

It will be a tough game for both sides on Sunday I think, we are consistently inconsistent but good on our day and you lot just seem to get pulling off results and fighting on which I think has won you a lot of respect. Both sides have pretty much fully fit squads as far I am aware which can only be a good thing. Set plays will be the best way to get at you I think as we are pretty decent in the air, but a good chance you could hit us on the break which you do time and time again which huge success.

One thing I've wanted to ask though, as you lot watch the foxes week in week out. Have you had a game all season where literally nothing has gone for you? Bad ref, penalties not given, weather, injury, red card, and the football gods just generally against you. You seem to have had the rub of the green in that respect from what I've seen of you.

Player wise, I don't think I need to really talk about how well Vardy and co have done this season so I won't get into that.

Anyway all the best for the rest of the season (excluding Sunday), hope you win it.

Good assessment ahead of the match. Agree entirely to be honest. Southampton have quality throughout their side, I get the impression you're a very well balanced team with a manager who is knowledgeable, likeable, and who has ultimately done a great job for your club. I understand to my knowledge throughout the PL seasons Southampton have had a lot of very talented players leave the club, but considering this, to sustain yourselves in this division is definitely worthy of credit.

As for us, like you said, we're at our best when we play our counter attacking football. It's served us our success this season and also last season when we experienced the great escape. We're very good at soaking up pressure from the opposition, they can have the ball a lot of the time, but due to our defence being a solid unit & organised, we are able to be patient against teams, if need be. Tactically we have excelled this season in every department.

People need to chill out. It isn't a MUST WIN game. That's the sort of pressure fans are putting on themselves which will translate onto the pitch come match day if we go behind. We have 7 games left. Don't fret about those last 3 games. We went Man City and ruined them and went to Arsenal who needed a red card just to get a shot on target.

Don't get me wrong I want to win the earlier games to make life a little easier but get it out of your head that these next few games are must win. They most certainly are not.

3 more wins and I cant see us losing it. We have 7 games to find those 3 wins. We have only lost 3 all season so if we draw a couple its fine. Don't hit the panic button at the first sign of a wobble whether that is a defeat or draw.

I suppose on the same token in reverse though, we had only won four league games for all of last season prior to our amazing survival run (that started against West Ham at home a year ago come this weekend), when we then won 7 from 9! Let's hope we can do the same for these next seven this time :-)

In response to the question about us getting the rub of the green - we have certainly had it a lot this season. I can only think of Arsenal away where we've been unlucky. Martin Atkinson is a terrible ref and wanted to send Simpson off. You can see that in the games he's refereed since. Much worse fouls haven't got a yellow.

Last season was a completely different story. We had some downright absurd decisions given against us on several occasions. I genuinely think we would have finished with at least 10 more points last season if the officials had done their jobs properly and we had a bit more luck.

Just looked and you've had 9 penalties this season so far that's a staggering amount! The last few weeks saints have had some pretty major decisions not go our way it's got to the point where if you don't laugh you cry. Shane long not getting a penalty V Liverpool was up there with the worst. Fans just want consistent refs, were not asking for miracles.
