Arsenal may not win any trophies this season, but one of their fans surely deserves some kind of award:

The Arsenal fan who made the famous ‘Thanks for the memories’ anti-Arsene Wenger banner must get a tattoo of the French boss after Jamie Vardy’s goal for England against Germany.

Twitter user @DeejayDt made the outlandish claim that he’d get inked up if the Leicester forward found the net at the Olympic Stadium…and he only went and did it.

Goals from Harry Kane, Eric Dier, as well as Vardy, meant the Three Lions completed a stunning comeback to win 3-2 on Saturday evening.

And this one Gooner won’t be forgetting the famous win for Roy Hodgson’s side any time soon.

Here’s what he tweeted as Vardy replaced Gunners forward Danny Welbeck in the 71st minute…

I'm afraid we are no match for them.

Well played, sir.

Was he holding the banner at the Everton game on BT sport last week? The cameras zoomed in on it and then cut away as it looked like he was going to get a smack from other fans.

What I want to know is where did he find a tattoo parlour that was open at 9.30 pm on a bank holiday saturday?

What a complete and utter prat.

Too right. It's hardly a ridiculous call is it? Man who is second top scorer in the league might score a goal shock.

This is what I meant in the grinds my gears thread about social media. People like this. "Oh if xxx scores I'll do xx", "If I get 2000 likes I'll do xxx' .... Just pure attention seeking. So annoying.
