Josh Boswell Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 Hi, my name's Josh Boswell, I'm a reporter at the Sunday Times. We're doing a piece this weekend on the celebrations planned in Leicester for this bank holiday Sunday and I'd love to know from you, what are your plans? House parties, street parties, which pubs are you going to? Also I'd love to hear any great anecdotes you have - like the stories of 5000/1 bets, or the third generation fan who has a 2pm Sunday wedding ceremony... Post here or my number is 07795 640 690 and email is [email protected]. Thanks a lot and good luck!
kingcarr21 Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 Friend of mine is getting married on Sunday. Ceremony is at 1:30pm then photos before going to the Reception venue. The groom had an argument with the bride as he has said the guests will most likely stop off in a pub on the way to the reception venue to catch the 2nd half and he wants to join them Myself I am invited to the evening do so I will be in a pub in the city centre. I was driving to the reception so wasn't going to drink but have now just booked a 7 seater so drinks will be flowing.
Voll Blau Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 I would hire Abbey park for the entire weekend and put on a huge stage for amature and professional folk singers/bands, I would have morris dancers and for people to learn it in a fun way. I would invite the Steadfast trust to promote English culture to all especially the young who miss out at school. I would have a tent with a big screen for the city match on sunday and footage of English culture. Their would be a drinks tent with English wines, beers and food on sale. I would invite some of those companies who act out old battles, including a Robin Hood show and a man on horse duel they do at Warwick Castle. I would invite schools to create a play based on English culture to show people. A Shakespeare play would be cool.
ozleicester Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 I will be attending a Free the Refugees rally in Perth and then sitting with my family to watch a dodgy stream as we win the league between 9 and midnight
ousefox Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 I'll probably be on my own drinking champagne out the bottle on the train home then get so drunk in the evening I'll need carrying home.
Rincewind Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 I shall be at the Kings Head King Street with some friends and down a pint or three. Hopefull we will do it Sunday but if not I will return Monday and be a chelsea supporter for two hours.
filbertstreet Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 mam's doing a sunday roast, not missing out on that am I
AKCJ Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 I'll be at the game before (should we win) getting shit faced in some shithole club in Manchester and I wouldn't have it any other way. If it's anything like Newcastle away when we had an entire room of the Digital nightclub singing "We're top of the League" then it'll be fcking superb.
The Railway Man Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 Cocaine and hookers my friend, cocaine and hookers.
Fox92 Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 First of all, I'll be at Old Trafford and should we win the title.... who knows... probably have a few drinks in Manchester and more when I get home. Thankfully it's a bank holiday so no work on Monday.
Stadt Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 I'm flying back from Dortmund on Sunday night, I'll be getting shitfaced on the plane if we win it
bovril Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 Friends over, few bottles of wine then the gf is getting it all night (after friends have gone, obviously). Might wear a Robert Huth mask in bed.
