I would love the Leicester fans join to in with the Merseyside football family and sing a rousing rendition of YNWA. Two Leicester brothers died in that tragedy. Never forget what happened that day.

Will every single event have people trying to couple it to the 96? For me its now time to move on. This should be a celebration for our title win and that alone.

The link between our title win and that event are less than tenuous, the only reason you're clinging on to that tiny link is to try and show off how wonderfully moral you are.

No just think it was a big achievement to take on the establishment. I remember that day very well. Also Everton are visiting.. not just any team.

When people think plugging this at a Leicester City title win is appropriate I feel things have gone too far. Commemorating the Hillsborough disaster wouldn't even be appropriate at a Liverpool title win. Other things I could mention: The fact we don't just get coverage of this around the date itself, we get it at other parts of the year too. The fact that Liverpool FC seem to take this more seriously than Remembrance day. The undeserved moral credit given to Margaret Aspinall in the Safe Standing debate. This last one might be me being picky but I also dislike the fact that the word 'Hillsborough' is no longer the name of a football ground (and a rather good one too IMO) in many people's minds, it's a byword for tragedy. You just know that if Sheffield Wednesday v Liverpool is a PL fixture next season the Liverpool fans will insist on co-opting it and make it a sob-fest rather than a football match (which is what it actually is). What would be an appropriate level? I'm not going to claim to know that exactly but I would suggest an annual service by Liverpool FC, a five minute piece on said service from BBC news and a mention on MOTD. Essentially, an annual reminder of what happened and why it matters.

If you think this should be front page news forever god knows what you are going to think when the findings of the Chilcott inquiry come out. That was about 250,000 dead based on a pack of lies.
