Who do you want? Put it in here

The lad obviously feels those players are what we're lacking to have another successful season... Other people have other ideas, Football is all about opinions yours is obviously different but we won't no for sure as you've put no input into why you feel these players won't help take us to that level

It's an opinion that's hard to take seriously because a) we're very unlikely to get those players and b) it just isn't that simple. I actually think gradual changes rather than doing what everyone else does is the way forward - everyone wants everything NOW, immediately. I cannot comment on those individual players because I'm honest enough to say I haven't studied them - I just know that it is complex and I want people to be more patient and realistic, that way I think we will all have a more enjoyable season after the stupendous and other-worldly effort of 2015-16. I have said elsewhere that chasing the dream again is probably unwise, and I get the distinct feeling that those at the top of the club know that too - it looks like they're trying to build

Sulè of Hoffenheim, 6 ft 5 German centre half and only 20 years old. Very similar to Huth.

Emre Can of Liverpool, seems to be out of favour with Jurgen Klopp and from what iv Seen of him he looks a very good player.

I'd really like Emre Can, I can't see Liverpool letting him go though.

Yes, because it's just that easy...

Apologies for the sarcasm, it's not personal - this is just becoming like one great big computer game.

The topic is 'who do you want', no need to be a snob about it ffs! Of course it's not easy, Peredes has an exquisite touch, is defensively minded first and foremost, and is young at 22. We have been linked. Without a class CM, we're in big trouble if Drinkwater gets injured.

Luan is ideal as he can play attacking mid or No.10, his trickery would give decrease the chances of Mahrez being double teamed. Our net spend is low this summer, he'd cost £22-24m, Paredes £20m, this is our chance to attract class players. If we rely on our current crop we will scrape top 10 and struggle to get though the group stages of CL, just a couple of injuries and we'll be leaning on King, Amartey and Ullloa - they're not good enough to start games in the CL IMO.

Who do you want, or are you happy to rest on your laurels now that Mendy could be out for at least 2/3 games?

And there's no need to call me something I'm not - I just don't think most are being realistic at all, and that isn't snobbery.

Ok, sorry for aiming high, has worked pretty well for me in life my friend! What would your plan be, no more signings? If not who are your targets?

Thanks for talking :) No, of course we need more, in midfield in particular it appears we need someone dynamic and selfless, and I'd like Pontus Kaamark at RB please. The difficulty is not in who we might wish for, but in identifying who would also want to join - the last thing I want is players on their way through, so to speak. I am honest so will not start claiming knowledge of x y & z......but in a joking reference to @Col city fan, can I suggest Lee Cattermole.....? Seriously, if Mourinho is shipping people out, that might be a good place to be looking, perhaps.

This is the trouble. People think that our Premier League champions have somehow become awful.

I think the one position we're light on is defensive midfield. Apart from that we've got proven quality in every position.

We got to where we are via smart scouting, spending within our means and building an incredible unity between the team. Why ruin that so that we can sign some players purely because they cost a lot? Arsene Wenger hit the nail bang on the head in his interview the other day. He's signed a very talented young English man and is giving him game time. Arsenal fans are whinging because he's not called Cristiano Messi costing 50m.

Lee Clattermole, Jesus! We're crying out for some composure in midfield who can control the ball with Drinkwater, who's technically very gifted. Paredes is as selfless as they come, composure is outstanding - have you seen him play? Schneiderlin isn't a bad shout though, but Paredes is probably more realistic IMO. Kirchhoff is a much better player than Cattermole in my opinion, Sunderland fans rate him very highly. He's not too dissimilar in style and stature to Nzonzi, but about £15m cheaper!

Luan, Paredes and Dragovic = Top 6 finish and QF of CL.

Where are we getting the 80m to fund those players?

I think people are underestimating the impact Kante had on our team. I don't want us to spend for the sake of it, but if you've watched Luan and Paredes play in detail you'd understand exactly what they could do for us. Luan and Paredes would give us the ability to control play and be creative. Just playing counter attack will have its limitations, teams have adapted their play.

Winning the league £100m, CL £30m+, shirts, sponsorship and gate receipts alone pay the wages. Oh and Vichai is worth £2billion...

Nice to see that you've not just plucked numbers out of your arse

Is this an accountancy page or a page where you suggest players you'd like our club to sign.... Get your head out the sand and stop being so petty!!!

back on topic! I'd love us to sign a solid rb possibly trippier or take a chance on Phil Jones/Callum Chambers, a box to box midfielder like I've said many a time Nzonzi would be the man I'd be all over and a busy number 10 with an eye for goal who can pick a pass would be nice as well ie Sigurdsson... I'm not saying we'd be able to afford/ get all these players but they're the sort of players I think we could do with to improve areas we're lacking

But you're not thinking about any of it.

It's not as simple as just "this players costs 20m so lets get him then we've got another 130m to spend". Don't be so daft.

Sorry for suggesting players guys, glad you're not in charge. Move with the times or end up like AFC...night

Good choices, but no doubt will get shot down by the bores on here who don't want to move with the times, and have no suggestions of players except Lee Cattermole!!!. Yawn.

You apparently have no sense of humour.

What a preposterous thing to suggest, based on absolutely nothing!

Based on your comments, read them again. Sorry for being excited about

my team and realising that we'd struggle with just a couple of injuries, imagine if Drinkwater got injured or Mahrez? You felt it was clever to shoot me down on a thread with the heading 'who do you want'?! You're an ostrich!

What do you mean "end up like Arsenal"?

Like that would be a bad thing lol

We could do with another midfielder but we'd need one if Mendy's injury is severe. Anything else isn't necessary. That's nothing to do with a lack of ambition, it's more to do with being realistic.
