Nick Posted 16 August 2016 Posted 16 August 2016 Fabregas - lets offer them £28 million.... it's two less than what Chelsea paid and they left him out in favour of Kante...... Not gonna happen and perhaps a little too attacking but it'd certainly strengthen the squad.

Was thinking the same last night, he'd be exactly the type of player I'd be all over, would be quality in behind vardy or if we're under the cosh dropping back into a 3... I can't see him coming to us and I don't think we could afford him either as he'd want silly wages!!! We can but dream

Kapi is one for the future, obviously. Zieler isn't better than Kasper. Mendy is is completely different to both Kind & Amartey so can't say he's better.

Realistically the club are clearly taking the opportunity to build for the future utilising our success, not attempting to defend our title, as that would simply be folly. Even our Champions League ambitions must be tempered. We ain't gonna win it. We'll be pulling off a miracle should we get out of the group stages. There is zero point bankrupting the club with 4 top class players we can't afford long term.

I think you're the one with your head up your arse, claiming I don't know anything about football because I'm not having a ridiculous knee-jerk reaction to the first game Yes I think we could do with 1-2 more signings that take us to the 'next level' but 4 top class players? That's nearly half the starting 11 that needs replacing then? The club/owners aren't stupid, they're clearly trying to build something longer term and fans need to be patient with that. I think the owners deserve that much from us anyway. Kicking off, saying that half the XI needs Chopping and changing after one game, yes one game, isn't being patient. Come January I might have to agree with you but for now chill out. Dilly ding dilly dong mate were Leicester city not Real Madrid, we're not going to go out and splash £80-£100m on four top class players.

That was a bit harsh, and I'm just as enthused with us producing something extraordinary again this season, whatever that might be, but the club just about spaffed its entire load last season, we're not gonna get going again for a little while. We might need a nap, or maybe try again in the morning. I think the club is going tantric, and we're taking steps towards that. This needs patience and time.
